Chapter 1
----------------------------------------------
The day break was occurring.
Although these barren lands had not much vegetation, the grey clouds above certainly didn't help much with it.
The radiation had seeped into the surroundings, as nearly everything was very hazardous for living beings.
Humans are a species which learns and adapts, and so some nations which avoided most of the nuclear destruction and it's effects had rapidly developed technology to prevent the degradation of the human body within these environments.
Not everyone could afford them though & most of the residents had a cheaper alternative, which barely protected them against radiation.
The cheaper knock offs had no prevention against viruses, since even the most developed technology couldn't prevent the onset of the virus.
The wealthy invested in getting full body armors. These armors covered every portion of their body & prevented them from getting infected from the viruses.
For those who get infected, however ended up becoming..
Zombies.
Unlike what was preconceived about them, these were not living dead but were mutated humans who had given into their desire for hunt.
They lose their previous memories and gain a new persona.
The persona of a wild beast.
Their razor sharp nails and teeth were the prime source of the virus infection and many surviving humans feared them greatly.
Unfortunately for them, about 95% of the human population became instantly affected by the virus.
---------------------------------------------
In the year 2030, an accident at a secret virus research lab caused the Zombie Virus to break out.
It didn't spread immediately though.
The humans themselves helped it's propagation and contributed to the end result that caused the Zombie Virus to mutate endlessly.
It was not just humans though who ended up being infected, as the flora and fauna began to mutate as well.
It caused a world wide chaotic situation where the infected humans, now termed as Zombie ever since being infeceted by the Virus started to hunt the humans around them and began to decrease the number of surviving humans.
The mutated beasts hunted the humans too, as they tried to escape away from the remnants of the civilization.

Next came the food shortage, as the fields were now mostly barren and only some of them remained to be cultivated again.
Though what ended up growing wasn't what the humans were used to consume.
And so, the better off nations started to research endlessly into the virus and the food technology.
Amid all this chaos, a few nations that were on the verge of total collapse tried to ask for aid, but ended up being let down.
Frustrated with their end fate, the dying nations ended up nuking every nation they could.
Needless to say, the research into the Zombie Virus was halted indefinitely, as the surviving nations had to deal with the changing environmental situations as well.
Dark grey clouds covered nearly all over the world & radiation started to mutate the Zombies and monsters into becoming even more terrible.
The surviving researchers did their best to develop radiation resistance technology and could only achieve partial results.
The end product was so costly, that a much inferior product was released into public, while the rich and influential gained the true protection.
What the researchers were able to produce with the limited resources were:-
The Ultimate Protective Armor.
The Radiation Resistance Vaccines
The Cheaper Radiation Resistance capsules
New Variety of Genetically Engineered Food Grains
The research into the Zombie Virus couldn't be completed, as the virus mutated endlessly and so, the surviving populace had to live in fear of the hunter Zombies.
It was not to say that the humans had absolutely no protection against the Zombies and Monsters.
The ammunitions and hot weapons were a weapon of choice, as many private Survivor Camps started to become operational.
From the remains of the civilization, anything worth recycling was used and somehow human territories were established in the apocalyptic world.
Outside of these territories though, the Zombies and Monsters roamed free and attacked the Camps from time to time.
------------------------------------------
The governments across the world lacked the power to fully control their territories and so, the power became more decentralized and the individual Camps became semi-autonomous.
They only treated the country and it's officials with respect on the surface, while human rights had ended up becoming a mere joke.
Humans preyed upon humans, as slavery became the norm. Though cannibals were treated with revulsion, it was unknown as to who had preyed upon humans or not.
The slaves had no rights and could be killed upon the owner's wishes.
The few nations that were able to overcome this situation had gained supremacy in the world and their citizens lived in peace and harmony.
Meanwhile, most of the nations around the world were barely operating and had no means of caring about their populace.
Needless to say, the corrupt officials were running rampant, as moral values had been thrown into the dust bin.
---------------------------------------
It had been almost 30 years since the virus spread.
By now, most humans had learned how to survive and were no longer the simple humans who had innocence and goodwill in their hearts.
The rich were valued, while the poor had no voice of their own.
The most in demand currency around the world became the Food itself, as it's demand had sky rocketed.
Guns, ammunitions, swords, knifes, armors... these were the most valuable possessions.
The farming lands were controlled by the Survivor Camps, as the others had to fend for themselves in the wastelands.
The Camp Officials decided the fate of the humans around them, as the disparity among the humans soared.
The wastelands had become a dangerous territory, both for the surviving humans and the Zombies themselves too, as the monsters had started to feed upon the Zombies.
The people of this Apocalyptic world continued their struggle to survive amidst all these years.
When an oddity arrived..
