I had thought that i would be able to grind my way back up but i encountered a major problem. Since i had spawned in the city itself and not in the training region even though i had been dropped to lvl 1, all the monsters around me were of minimum lvl 10. With my current lvl, i could'nt even scratch them. My only hope was to wait for a strong sword to appear from the [Pandora's Sword] and grind was much as possible within those 3 minutes. And that was exactly what i did.
3 days passed since the betrayal and since higher level monsters gave more experience, i was already back to lvl 10. However, Lemonade and others were not slacking off either. Lemonade had reached lvl 18 while rest of the group were at lvl 17. Players would recieve their first class advancement as well as choose their profession when they reach lvl 20. I still could remember the horror of Lemonade's original skill and my opinion of original skills had greatly increased. Previously, i had already chosen [Pandora's Servant] so i decided to complete it's quest. With utmost patience, i waited for the [Pandora's sword] and only killed when a strong sword appeared. It took me 2 days to complete the quest and i had reached lvl 15. Lemonade and group's lvl had increased only by 1 in the 2 days so i felt quite happy seeing my progress being so fast. Now, i had [Pandora's Servant] to back me up and the servant would not disappear until i log out or it is killed, givnig me a huge boost in battle. The fist silver tier boss had still not been slain and this was a golden opportunity to gain a [Blank] skill book, so i decided to search for one.
Surely enough with my luck, i found one in the middle of a dense forest but a 3-man party of lvl 10 players were engaging it. I waited for a emperor tier sword to appear and proceeded to insta-kill the boss.
Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.
Hearing this a wicked smile appeared in Lemonade's face. She was certainly upto something and it was probably not something good.
I looked into my bag and saw that i had 2 [Blank] skill books. I could create 2 more op skills! At the bottom left corner of my vision, i noticed the 3-man party trying to ambush me. They were just lvl 10 so i had no reason to retreat. I used a gold tier sword which i got and blocked the swordsman's attack. At the same time, i saw the elementalist casting a skill and immediately leaped backwards. The elementalist's skill missed and the assasin entered stealth mode. The swordsman charged straight towards me. I had a feeling that i would get stunned by the assasin if i went to attack the swordsman so, i completely changed my trajectory and charged towards the elementalist. The swordsman looked surprised and the elementalist started to panic. I slashed her once and dropped her health to 20%. I saw a falling leaf get blocked to my left and found out the assasin's location. I ducked and slashed the assasin also dropping his health to below 40% and forcing him out of stealth mode. The whole party was panicking so i took advantage to leap back and cut down the swordsman's health to below 30%. Now, the whole party's health was low. I used my [Glory of swords] skill and instantly killed all 3 of them. My name bar changed to red and i saw a system notification:
The debuff should not matter much since i was a solo player and i could hide if i want. But then, i saw a vague shadow appearing in front of me. I looked around and saw 2 more shadows. As they got closer, their appearance became clearer and they could be recognized. It was Lemonade, Mahzino and Sorrow!
Are they trying to drop me back to lvl 1 again?
I then realized that i had fallen into their trap once more. It was always weird that the silver boss had still not been slain. It was a bait! I understood why they prepared the people to make me recieve the red name debuff. This time it was not only my level they were after but also my core, the [Pandora's Sword].
But this time i also had my [Pandora's Servant]. Now, it all depended on the tier of the servant i summon. It all came down to my luck.
