Soon as they left the villa's territory, the mood immediately improved. Gone was the murderously angry Xuan Di. Immediately replaced by thirteen-fourteen years old kids whining to get new clothes and a hot bath.
"Alright. Alright. Let's find a new place to stay." Gudao waved his hand. Thinking like this, he felt this was the first time he spoiled kids. "Then we buy clothes."
Not for the lack of trying. Even before the incident two years ago, Jingyi was more mature and reserved than kids her age. After that, she acted like she was good five years older.
However, ever since Jingyi assimilated the [Ghost Jade Forge] technique, there were changes in her general demeanor.
"I feel like it was a mental regression," Jingyi told Gudao. "Although not unexpected, I still feel uneasy. No, the fact that I feel uneasy by itself is worrying."
Although the Yin aura always made her look calm and cold outside, the inside was the opposite. Jingyi had twice as much Jing in her lower meridian compared to before.
Her emotion is far more turbulent.
"Many would call it a weakness, but is it really?" Gudao questioned. "You learned Martial Arts from a Buddhist monk. So that may color your perception."
"Perhaps it was." Jingyi hummed. "Peace of mind is their road to enlightenment and ascension."
"If that is the case, why do they have Wrathful Deities?" Gudao argued.
"...Now that you said it..." Jingyi realized. "Indeed, I wonder."
Gudao let Jingyi ponder that question herself.
"For Father, regression is not a bad thing. Seeing you take the slow step to maturity is my dream." Gudao said. "Blasphemous to say for a sword cultivator, but without you, Tang Gudao won't exist anymore."
Because Tang Gudao would be lost in the path of swords and cease to be human.
Indeed, just looking at these two kids innocuously bathing together in this luxurious private room, Tang Gudao couldn't be more relieved.
But Xuan Di... his thin body made him a bit worried. Even though most sword cultivators didn't specifically do body cultivation techniques, having a fit body is a natural outcome.
And with a fit body, your movement will be strong, sharp, and swift.
Even before his rejuvenation at Foundation Establishment, the old Gudao had traces of muscles behind his wrinkly skin.
"Di-er, did you lose weight again?" Jingyi perceptively asked.
"I measured it and lost one and half a catty this month." Xuan Di winced. "I fear losing more, so I could only feel relieved."
"You lost one and half a catty?!" Gudao asked in disbelief. "What in the Heavens! Your problem is that severe?!"
"If it's not severe, would I be this desperate?" Xuan Di shrugged and smiled in resignation. "I am living on borrowed time. At some point, either I become disabled from atrophy, or I seal my Qi cultivation."
How? How could he lose weight, despite eating so much every day?
"In exchange for unnatural blessing, my body is burning itself lean. That's why, rather than Qi-projection, relying on sword formation is the only way for me to conserve my body mass."
"Understandable." Gudao nodded. "Just tell me if our training regiment is dangerously rough."
"I don't think so." Xuan Di shook.
"I think you even gained some muscles?" Jingyi pointed as she gently scrubbed his body. Looking like this, they appeared more like brothers and sisters than fiancees.
"You're still losing fat, though." She said as she gently massaged his cheek, which made him embarrassed.
"Please stop~!"
It takes a lot of squinting to see, but what little muscles he got might be chiseled better than a month ago. This is a good thing. The bad thing is Xuan Di's cheek won't be this rounded and cute in a few months.
"In that case, we might have done something partially right," Gudao concluded. "Though most people gain weight due to muscle being denser than fat, a positive change is still a positive change!"
Jingyi let him go. "If there is a way to inform Lady Duanmu Yu about this..."
"I'll send her an express letter." Xuan Di said.
After everyone got dressed, Xuan Di gave a spirit paper to Jingyi. Spirit paper is an expensive commodity, as it can be made into any object and independently move for a long time.
Thousands of li travel? No problem. Their speed and range are decided by the paper grade itself.
"Your general activity and diet records are written here." Jingyi gave the finished letter to Xuan Di, who used his Shen power to fold it into the shape of the flying sword.
"Oh, that is novel." Gudao hummed. "Most people fold it into a crane."
"Paper cranes allow precision and careful delivery, but flying sword shape flies much faster and harder to intercept." Xuan Di licked his lips and let it fly. "Just in case someone is being sneaky."
Jingyi wanted to call him paranoid, but Xuan Di was justified in thinking that way. He had way too many enemies, even in his own clan.
The morning after, everyone was refreshed.
"Let's go shopping for clothes." Xuan Di said. "Other than clothes, I think we should buy more equipment."
"Just because you have money, it's not right to splurge," Gudao advised. "Flaunting wealth, you're just a cow ready for slaughter."
"You say that, but look at Jingyi-jie's equipment." Xuan Di argued. "First-grade feral boots, first-grade boar fang talisman, first-grade boar fur vest..."
Most of them were made of forest boar body parts. They're far from neat-looking.
"I look like some poor southern bandit," Jingyi questioned. "Even if first-grade equipment is good enough for Qi-channeling cultivators, I don't think these pieces of equipment suit me anymore."
"Well, they look weird with your current skin and hair." Gudao coughed. "Plus, they're of Yang attribute."
...
The market in Yuesu is nowhere as lucrative as in Zhongsu. Nevertheless, finding low-grade combat equipment isn't hard. Even the poorest cultivator can own a set of first-grade talismans. Second-grade markets tend to be colorful, though peasant children rarely have the resources to buy one.
In backwater Yuesu, third-grade equipment, talisman, or pills could only be found in Treasure Pavilions. However, third grades cannot be easily encountered in Zhongsu free market either. Instead, large cities usually have multiple Treasure Pavilions and auction houses to sell such things.
"Third-grade treasures, for us, would be extravagant and may become a liability," Jingyi remarked. "Don't you agree?"
"Well, the higher grade of the talisman, the more energy they consume in exchange for strength." Xuan Di nodded. "I don't want to be even more cripplingly focused."
Jingyi shook her head. Even compared to her monstrous progress, Xuan Di is incredibly unfathomable. Shame the corrosion of his body means he had to be restrained with his Qi use. The more he uses Qi, the weaker his Jing, and his body will lose even more mass. As such, he had to rely on his equally powerful Shen cultivation.
Xuan Di is scary enough with sword formation. Using them in conjunction with orthodox Qi swordsmanship, he'd be undefeatable.
Either way, he was cursed. What use of great strength if you can't enjoy life? Past Jingyi would have thought it was a twisted justice of Heaven, but the current her could only pity him.
"Thinking about it, Shen is limitless if faint, and Qi is abundant but impure." Jingyi pondered. "Just simple meditation or sleeping can recover the Shen energy, and there are many methods to accelerate Qi refining and absorption, but other than eating devil meats, is mining the only method to increase Jing creation and absorption?"
"Jing energy is refined earth energy, different than earth-element Qi. Earth energy is corrosive to humans, and most body cultivation techniques exist to filter and refine Earth energy into Jing energy. However, even they have limits." Gudao said. "The deeper underground, the thicker the Earth energy's density. This can overcome the protection given by said body cultivation. Thus, deep cave miners are almost always in high demand, and each is powerful due to their high-level body cultivation."
Jingyi widened her eyes. "Is this why the Buddhist sects dominate the mining industry?"
"Indeed." Gudao nodded. "When you said you want to join Buddhist sects and become a miner outer disciple, I feel it was a good idea too. Still, being a miner also had its own risks."
"Not only risks of encountering underground devil beasts and fiends, the deeper underground, the fainter the Qi and Shen density. Too long underground, cultivation balance ruined." Gudao shook his head. "Wealth and strength alone cannot guarantee Buddhahood. In fact, the desire for wealth and strength is an obstacle to Buddhist enlightenment."
Ah, no wonder Jingyi was clueless.
"I will have to read more books in my spare time," Jingyi said. "Jing-er is too ignorant."
"Saying that? [Ghost Jade Forge] is different than most body cultivation techniques." Gudao said. "It does not utilize Earth energy absorption. Living sixty-five years in the wilderness, I rarely see them."
"I'm aware of that." Jingyi nodded. "It consumes and refines Qi to forge the body instead of Jing energy. It is the reason why I choose it."
Other than the design, the Yin attribute also fits Jingyi perfectly. It eliminates Jingyi's most sought-after treasure and turns it into a safety ward against people with wicked interests.
"Anything you fancy, Jing-er?" Gudao asked.
"Those small ropes are interesting."
"Why ropes?"
"Excuse me, do you have ropes made from Yin vines?" Jingyi asked.
"Young Miss is lucky! This peddler travels through many jungles and swamps! Vines are aplenty and come in myriad ways!" The middle-aged man laughed and rubbed his chin. "I collect them as a hobby, but since I have many duplicates, wasteful not to sell them. So far, no one is interested."
Gudao raised his eyebrows, then realized something.
This peddler! Is he actually a Foundation Establishment cultivator?!
Gudao bowed, but the peddler frowned and waved his hand to make him stop. He really enjoyed playing the fool!
"This is a rope made from century-old vines from the cold swamp of the north. Ice resistance is top-notch, and strength is immense!"
"This is-"
"A rope made of Ghost Entangling Vine, four zhang long." Jingyi cut him before he could promote more of his wares. "If you have some, Senior, this girl beg to buy them."
"Ghost Entangling Vine, rare daemonic plants from the underworld." The peddler rubbed his chin, grinning. "Other than ghost hunters or demonic cultivators, who would need those?"
Jingyi removed her shrouded straw hat to show her face. The peddler paused in shock, waved his hand to read her spirituality, and laughed.
"Peculiar! Very peculiar!" He slammed the table with a box. "Silly girl is silly. This uncle will give you these. This is eight zhang of live ghost entangling vine."
"...I don't want it. You're perverted." Jingyi cringed and stepped back. "Let's go somewhere else, Di-er."
The peddler and Gudao both widened their eyes in shock.
"She bleeds out Yin element every second. What would happen if we unseal a live ghost entangling vine near her?" Xuan Di chastised them before leaving. "Crazy talk!"
"Aiya, I wasn't thinking of that! I am not that shameless!" The peddler slapped his face in embarrassment. At best, Jingyi would be restrained. At worst, strangled to death!
"Senior, please take no offense. These two were ignorant and innocent." Gudao bowed, giving concessions to prevent unwanted fights. But deep inside, he didn't blame Jingyi at all. Besides, it is careless to accept free things from a stranger.
"Alright. Alright. It was my mistake." The peddler dismissively said. "As an apology, here's a Lei Pavillion token. In exchange for this, the first three items you buy, two-thirds the price."
Gudao coughed blood. This token is so precious! Too precious!
"I am not holding this!" Gudao threw it back. "Crazy talk!"
Gudao ended up smacked in the face and fell when the token flew back.
"Just a bronze token! Don't tell them you met me in this town." The peddler snapped his fingers, and his entire stall and himself disappeared from sight.
So elusive! Gudao was wrong. This peddler is actually a Core Formation expert! But Gudao wasn't too surprised. There are all kinds of weirdos in the Pugilistic world.
Oh well.
CHAPTER 04 - THE XUAN CHILDREN, PART 2
Catching up with the kids, Gudao told them the stories.
"This bronze token is authentic and not suspicious at all." Xuan Di told them. "This is a good opportunity."
"Is it really?"
"The longer we hold onto this, the more dangerous. Using it here, we're free."
After buying slightly shinier clothes, the three went to the Treasure Pavillion. Unlike the bustling free market, luxury places like this don't have a lot of patrons. If you're not loaded, afraid you're shit out of luck.
"Welcome, welcome to Lie family Treasure Pavilion." The shopkeeper greeted them politely. "How should I address Young Master?"
"Call me Di-er." Xuan Di said and gave the token without pausing. "We won't intrude too long. Sir, please help us."
"AH!" The shopkeeper gasped. "I understand."
"The defective items." Xuan Di almost smugly said. "Even if it's flawed, it is still treasure. Show us."
"Oh." Gudao finally understood. A flawed or otherwise incomplete talisman isn't exactly uncommon. However, they're still prestigious enough to be sold in Treasure Pavilion like this.
"Young Master is decisive!" The shopkeeper grinned as he guided them.
Jingyi and Gudao looked wide-eyed across the galleries of defective treasures. Even though they were imperfect, these prices are still staggering.
"I want these boots." Jingyi noticed a pair of green boots. "They don't look beautiful but seem useful."
The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings.
"Young Miss, have good eyes. These are bootleg Jade Cloud Boots." The shopkeeper said. "Because the spirit sap compound used was too young, it only has a soul shard and is incapable of flight. Still, it would boost your Qigong skill and allow anyone around the Qi-condensation level to jump twice as high, twice as long! Not to mention the sprint feature!"
"The original White Jade Cloud Boots are low fourth-grade items. These bootlegs are still considered on the lower bracket of third-grade items!"
"Take it out," Gudao ordered.
The shopkeeper took out the boots from the glass display.
"It is a top-rank second-grade at most," Jingyi said without touching it. "All third-grade items have soul fragments, at least. This one doesn't."
"Hmm." Xuan Di sharpened his eyes. "Right."
"That can't be! We already checked before-" The shopkeeper put his Qi inside and noticed a lack of response. "Oh no!"
"The tree sap used was so young that the soul fragment ceased after time passed." Xuan Di winced. "Lei's Treasure Pavilion behaves like this..."
A Treasure Pavilion, even selling defective items, should at least ensure warranty and quality control. Otherwise, how could anyone trust them ever again?
"This is my mistake! Please forgive!" The shopkeeper profusely bowed. "I will give this as a token of goodwill. Please let this not be heard anywhere else!"
"As long as the other goods are up to standard, I will pay full price for this." Xuan Di said. "Sell to us as it deserves."
Xuan Di is generous yet crafty. He knows how to win people by offering mutually profitable arrangements. Hearing this, the shopkeeper was delighted.
"Do you have a small rope? Preferably of the Yin element. I need two." Jingyi said. "If you have one made from ghost entangling vine, even better."
"This small rope is entirely made of Snow Moth silk. No soul fragments, but extremely durable. Definitely top-rank second grade!" The shopkeeper said. "Even a rank 3 devil beast's fangs will have difficulty chewing through. Rank 2 might take a few hours!"
"Full price." Xuan Di said.
Every top-rank Second Grade item they fancy? Xuan Di bought at max price. The discount is too precious to be used for second-grade items.
"Jingyi-jie, are you sure those are enough? Don't you want more third-grade items?"
"No need." Jingyi refused.
Aside from the Green Jade Cloud Boots and Snow Moth Silk Ropes, Jingyi also got a hooded fur coat made of a Star Wolf pelt. Specifically, an alpha Star Wolf. It gave a menacing aura that didn't fit a Qi-channeling young girl. This third-grade armor carries a fragment of the alpha Star Wolf soul.
Third-grade item is too fancy. Jingyi decided she would not use it outside of life-death battles.
"I will take this one." Gudao took a manual book titled [Snow Leopard Howl].
"Good choice! Good Choice!" The shopkeeper said. "Although not as potent as the fourth-grade [White Tiger Howl], this third-grade technique is not bad at all."
"In that case, I'll need top-rank second-grade or low-rank third-grade flying swords tempered by normal fire." Xuan Di said. "Four swords, preferably identical but not mandatory. Other than these attributes, everything else doesn't matter."
"Normal fire, normal fire... is anyone who forges using normal fire these days?" The shopkeeper shook his head. "If it's not the five mutated fires, I'm afraid the quality isn't as good."
"In that case, give me four flying swords forged with Crimson fire." Xuan Di said. "If they're second grade, there is no need for discounts. You can have the token."
The shopkeeper sharply inhaled. The price of four swords, even low-rank third grade, is not low. Most people who came here were lucky to buy one! But again, does anyone forge high-grade items with ordinary fires these days? Doubt it!
"Of course! Of course! Young Master!"
What a shame! But the four [Fire Crane Swords] sales are not terrible. Top-rank second-grade items like this are hard to come by in the free market of a small town.
"Lie's Treasure Pavilion is honest and reliable." Xuan Di cupped his hand. "Once this boy gathers a little wealth, I might come here again."
"Young Master Di is kind. This humble shopkeeper will remember your generosity!"
Jingyi noted there are layers of powerplay in these conversations. In all honesty, they don't spill a cartload of money. Third-grade items, this shop has hundreds. The stars of this pavilion are the rare fourth-grade items in the central aisle.
However, a thirteen-year-old boy who carelessly waves around money like this yet behaves humbly, even the shopkeeper would understand. He doesn't come from a simple background. At the very least, he is not poor.
Most rich brats around that age are accustomed to being proud and arrogant. A customer likes Xuan Di? Who wouldn't want him to come again?
As his fiancee, Jingyi will eventually get accustomed to scenes like these.
"Are? Di-er, so you came here after all!"
Xuan Di immediately hides behind Jingyi, knowing this voice brings trouble.
"My apologies, Young Misses! I was preoccupied with the previous customer!" The shopkeeper bowed. "May I know how to address you?"
"Xing Yao from Xing clan." The blond, tanned girl cheerfully winked. "And this one is Xuan Lian from the Xuan clan."
Xuan Lian's boyish face was sour as plum.
The shopkeeper's face became ashen, almost as pale as Jingyi's. His soul left him halfway from shock! The Xings and the Xuans are some of the most influential families in the region! If he offends them, the Lie family will be flattened!
"Welcome to this humble little shop! Welcome!" The man bowed three times. "This humble servant doesn't deserve the chance, but I shall put my life on the line to serve you!"
"No need. Meng Yiran!" Xuan Lian said, half-shouting. A servant girl came with elegant steps and half-bowed.
"This is my servant. You will treat her as a proper customer. Money is not a problem." Xuan Lian said. "I have business elsewhere."
"No problem! No problem!"
"Oh, by the way, shopkeeper." Xing Yao licked her lips. "Are you aware of who the young customer you served just now? He's Xuan Di, the fourth heir to the Xuans. A bit humble, but almost as loaded as us."
"Xing Yao, you fucking bitch! Shut your whore mouth!" Xuan Di howled. He tried SO HARD to be low profile, and she just ruined it like that!
Jingyi didn't expect Xuan Di could be so foul-mouthed. But to be honest, even SHE was annoyed. There was a small voice at the corner of her heart, uttering the phrase "bitchslap her!"
And the shopkeeper becomes ashen again.
...
"What do you want?" Xuan Di bitterly asked.
"You promised we'll get lunch. Since I wronged you again, the tab is on me today!" Xing Yao said.
"Don't want it. Leaving." Xuan Di jibed and left, huffing.
"Di-er! You're this mad! I'm just trying to help!" Xing Yao yelled. "You're an heir candidate!"
However, Xing Yao bumped into Jingyi, who stood there rock solid. "Di-er doesn't like it. You don't get to decide."
"Interesting." Xing Yao glared. "Xuan Di sure has good taste. Though I guess he prefers a cold fish-"
Xing Yao's face sunk to the ground in a second.
"All this time, and you learned nothing." Xing Mo shook his head. "It's been a while, sister-in-law."
"Ah, Mo-shige is also here." Jingyi respectfully cupped her hand. "Also, you're standing on her. Is that alright?"
Indeed, Xing Mo immediately got punched on the chin and flew two zhang up before dropping. Courtesy of angry Xing Yao.
"Of course, it is not." Xing Yao patted her clothes. "Anyway, this philanderer is my token of concession. I swear I will stop teasing Di-er for today!"
Ah. So Xing Yao deliberately asked Xing Mo to come to win Xuan Di's forgiveness.
"Coming so fast here, it can't be through carriages," Jingyi muttered.
"We rode a flying boat." A woman's voice joined. It was none other than Doctor Duanmu Yu, affiliated with Xuan Di. She personally corrected Jingyi's messed-up dantian and Qi flow. "Young Master Mo, we happened to meet at the dockyard."
"Greetings to Doctor Duanmu Yu." Jingyi bowed. "Thank you for saving my cultivation back then."
"Greetings to Doctor Duanmu Yu!" Both Xuan Lian and Xing Yao also respectfully bowed.
In this world full of danger, physicians are all respected. However, having these two Young Mistresses from two influential clans bow in public, Duanmu Yu is something else!
It could be said that Duanmu Yu was one of the best physicians in the entire region!
"I have a patient to care of, so I won't be long. Xuan Di, let's talk about it over lunch." Duanmu Yu firmly said.
"Yes, Doctor."
Jingyi noticed the distress on Xuan Lian's face. Since the encounter at the villa yesterday, Jingyi recognized that despite her poor attitude, Xuan Lian did not hate Xuan Di. In fact, she might be concerned for his well-being.
Jingyi approached him and whispered to him.
"I'll hold the nagging wenches at bay. Just accept the flattery."
"Are you alright with it?"
"Fiancee duty."
"...Right."
"Since Yao-shijie had been very courteous and invited my brother here, I will accept the invitation." Xuan Di bowed. "Let's have a lunch."
"Bastard. Now you're being polite. Sister doesn't hate crafty boys, though." Xing Yao laughed proudly. "To the brothel, we go!"
Xing Yao was forced to eat her words when it turns out that Xuan Di requested two separate VIP rooms. The two rooms were separated by an empty space, so they could not eavesdrop.
The three girls had one room. And the other had Xuan Di, Xing Mo, Gudao, and Duanmu Yu.
"So, who doesn't hate crafty boys again?" Xuan Lian asked.
"Shut up!" Xing Yao was blushing hard. She was humiliated. Humiliated! "You arranged for this, didn't you?"
"Indeed. I did. Be thankful Di-er accepted at all." Jingyi calmly smiled.
"Then, you're supposed to entertain us." Xuan Lian indignantly huffed. "What can you offer?"
"You want to know his health condition, correct?" Jingyi's face turned grave, and her voice became threatening. "Yes or no, simple answer."
Xuan Lian glared at her with a murderous aura, but Jingyi wasn't intimidated. Instead, she countered it with her own spiritual pressure. A small storm erupted at the center of the table!
Xing Yao took the opportunity to slap the back of their heads. The spiritual storm immediately dispersed.
"You girls will make the food taste bad, so stop it." Xing Yao scowled. "Making Yao-jie mad, even you would regret it. Cih."
"And if I say yes, would you answer?" Xuan Lian asked again.
"That depends. Are you Xuan Di's enemy or ally?" Jingyi asked back. "I won't divulge his weakness or strength to an enemy. Swallow your pride and cease with the misdirection."
Xuan Lian was about to bark but immediately regained her conscience. In fact, she had to grit her teeth and raise two fingers.
"I swore to Heavens that Xuan Di is not my enemy and a family member I care for. Unless he tries to hurt me or betray the Xuans, this will not change. As for the race to the clan succession, I will fight him fair and square. Never use underhanded means."
"Fighting fair and square to gain other branch support?" Jingyi questioned as she ate her fish. "Doubtful that can be done."
Politics are never clean.
"Doesn't matter. Approval of Elders is the most important. So it is a matter of making a good impression in martial cultivation." Xuan Lian said. "And if my father break through from Core Formation to Golden Core stage, no one would contest his decision."
"However, both of you are disadvantaged," Jingyi remarked. "Because he's from the branch family, and you're a woman. Highly doubt the Elders favor you and him right now."
In this world, clan lineage is passed through the men. That was just how it was because no one willing to change the status quo. Or failed to try.
"Oh, very observant of you." Xing Yao grinned. "None of the heirs are in a dominant position right now."
"What do you mean?" Jingyi asked.
"The first heir is Xuan Lian's little brother, Xuan Tian. Though this gave him an advantage, he's the weakest of the heirs in martial talents." Xing Yao explained. "As for the third heir, Xuan Kong. He is not weak, but he's the son of Patriarch Yuan's little brother, Xuan Hong. Naturally, he's disadvantaged."
"Interesting." Jingyi widened her eyes. "As long as your little brother is weaker than you, he's unlikely to gain overwhelming dominance. And despite being the core family member, Xuan Kong is under constant pressure from Xuan Di."
"Exactly." Xing Yao snapped her fingers. "Aside from her personal feelings, Xuan Lian needs Xuan Di to keep the other boys in check."
"Right. Since you shared such sensitive information, I will also tell you about Xuan Di's health." Jingyi said. "In the last month, he lost one and half a-catty weight."
"He still losing weight?!" Xuan Lian clenched her fist.
"Heavens. He'll be a walking skeleton by the time of academy enrollment!" Xing Yao slammed the table. Though half-joking, she was clearly worried.
Honestly, Jingyi could tell that if not for her price, Xuan Lian looked like she was about to cry.
"There is a silver lining to that," Jingyi said. "He gained a slight muscle since we left Zhongsu. The reason is unclear, but we reported this to Doctor Duanmu Yu. That was the reason for her arrival."
"Oh, that is a miracle!" Xing Yao smiled. "How could you tell?"
"We took a bath together?" Jingyi innocently replied. "Could easily tell up close."
Xuan Lian shattered a table corner from gripping too hard while her face was ashen and her eyes became white.
"Ah." Xing Yao stuck her tongue. "Jing-er struck a nerve."
At this point, Tang Jingyi has no shred of doubt. Xuan Lian did not care for Xuan Di in a sisterly manner. In fact, Jingyi might be the biggest threat to her than anything.
Heaven oddly decides things.
