The last thing you remember is passing through that dark entrance, after meeting with that strange ball. Now you wake up and find yourself resting in a restricted place. You use the power of your perception, and you notice you are sleeping in a coffin, much to your surprise.
You quickly push open the lid and inspect the room. The room you are in is brown painted, and you notice several ancient weapons scattered around the room. Most of them damaged.
You think this place is a burial chamber.
You come out of the coffin, wondering what the fuck is going on. Surely a Monarch shouldn’t be resting in a coffin.
The first thing you do is inspect the coffin. You notice a plaque on the coffin, and you use your hand to clear the dust. There is a caption that reads: “In memory of H. Majesty, Monarch of Pana XI.” Afterwards, you notice a small portrait, which at first glance it looks somewhat familiar. You examine it further, and you get the shock of your life.
You find it hard to believe, but the person depicted in this portrait is you.
Your mind goes blank, but you quickly get back to your senses when you hear a sound. You stay still to hear well. These are definitely footsteps. Someone is coming.
You swiftly close the lid of the coffin and run into hiding behind a large stone altar, waiting in suspense.
You hear the cracking sound of the door as it opens. You peep.
You see a man entering the room. He is middle aged and has long grey hair. He is wearing a brown cloak, but the hood is down so you can see his face.
You watch him as he slowly walks towards the coffin, afterwards he bows. You can hear soft sounds coming from his mouth. You think he is crying.
You quickly connect the dots. This person must be a relative of the person who died and is resting in that coffin. As strange as it may seem, this person is mourning you. Yet, you have no memories of him.
You stay still and contemplate if you should reveal yourself. You smile as you imagine the reaction of his face when he notices you are still alive. What a spectacular reunion this is going to be. Suspense builds up.
You are about to stand up and reveal yourself, but you are interrupted by madness laughter. You promptly crawl back into your hideout.
“Hello, great Majesty! Sorry for disrupting your eternal rest, you heinous bastard child!” He yells and laughs alone.
“It’s not really my pleasure to come and visit you even after your death, but… it is my duty as your esteemed advisor to keep reporting you how your kingdom is falling apart!”
He keeps talking to the coffin, at times interrupting himself with laughter.
“Want to hear the latest news my Majesty?! Oh I am sure you are eager to do so! The Imperial forces have now stormed into the Fort High Valley, partly thanks to me supplying them with a map of the hidden passages! You had to see the faces of your soldiers when the enemies appeared out of nowhere; the defenders of the fort didn’t know what hit them! Such a beautiful sight it was! If you are curious, some of their heads are still there hanging on spikes near the entrance of the fort!”
“And as we speak, the imperial soldiers are laying siege to your dear Capital. Soon, it will be no more! And once your capital will be nothing but rubble, the remaining cities of your kingdom will surely crumble to the might of the empire! And that will be the end of your legacy! Your complete defeat! Fuckin amazing!”

He then spits on your grave multiple times, but he suddenly appears a little sad.
“I kind of miss… peeing on your face and engraving obscene words on your chest.” He seems sad, almost crying. “Yes… it was so much fun seeing my pee flowing onto your face... but I am now scared to open that coffin of yours, who knows what kind of diseases your cursed body will bring about. After all, it has already been three months since that poison I placed in your drink killed you… what a complete joke you are...”
He stands up. He is about to depart but he turns again facing the coffin. “Oh, there is something that I never told you. And given that this might be my very last visit to your coffin, I believe you should know about it.”
“The accident about your precious daughter… remember how I testified how she died in that terrible hunting accident? All I said that day was a lie, all of it!”
He grins. “You really had to be there to see how much she fuckin cried and yelled that day. To this day, I still can’t believe that bitch kept calling your fuckin name till her very last breath! She actually believed you would appear and save her!”
“We beat her, violated her body. I kept her tight as my brother Julius raped her multiple times. For hours he raped her until she died. Afterwards, we threw her junk body of hers in a nest full of dragons. It was so fun seeing her decimated body being eaten. We sang songs of joy, all day we cursed your name and the lineage of your family! One of the best moments of my life, surely!”
You remained still listening to him all this time. But you cannot bear it any longer. You check your chest, and you can see the various scars marked on it. These weren’t there before you entered this world. You feel anger like never before. A spirit of revenge engulfs your body. It seems as the real Monarch XI is pleading for your help. Its spirit demands justice.
You check around and notice a small bronze dagger not that far away from you. It is somewhat corroded but it should be enough to get the job done. You silently extend to pick it up, then check on the other man. You see he is still busy cursing at the coffin.
You take a deep breath, then you crawl and slowly walk towards him. You focus. You watch every step you take, making sure you don’t hit anything or make unnecessary sounds. Your heart beats as you keep moving towards him.
Emotions flood your mind. You are going to commit murder. But you try and justify yourself. This is not real life, and this man is a dangerous being; an unpredictable crazy motherfucker. If you don’t kill him now he will be the one killing you. It’s pretty obvious. Self-defence.
You have a fright when you thought he was about to turn around, but he resumes talking with the coffin. You feel relief and pray that will not notice you before you strike him.
Step by step you approach him. Just some more steps, you are almost there. You can now even smell his aroma, which is similar to the incense smoke used in churches.
You take a couple more steps, and you are finally within striking distance.
1. Dispose of him. But make sure he suffers.
2. Kill him fast and swiftly. This man is too dangerous.

You stab the man in his neck. The dagger penetrates to the other side and remains stuck there. You quickly distance yourself away and barely manage to dodge the confused sword attack of the man.
You see him struggling as he takes out the dagger from his neck. He looks painful, but he can’t make sounds. You see him staring at you but he is having difficulty recognise you. It seems his vision is fading away.
He falls on the floor holding the hole in his neck as blood falls and spills on the floor. He struggles for a while, then he stops. His body spasms a few times afterwards, then everything is calm.
You move to check his body. He is death.
You check if there is anything useful on him. You take this sword and a bag of 50 pieces of silver coins. You can see your face engraved on the coins.
You then waste some time learning how to pocket the sword in your belt.
You also take the dagger with you, as a memento. A memento of your first murder in this world. Surely, this was not the best way to start your adventure.
You then walk towards the door of the chamber, feeling somewhat excited about what you will find out there. More importantly, you have a kingdom to save and another bastard to hunt down.
