I originally planned to make this a multi-series book back in 2016. Back then I didn't have any idea how the story would pan out but the more I wrote the clearer the end goal became. Ideas gradually picked up and the characters' identity became clearer as the story progressed (somewhat). However, progress in terms of writing became sluggish and it didn't feel like I was improving anymore.
This novel was meant as practice as I learned to write and tell stories, but learning to write and applying practices was oddly difficult. The way I want to frame a picture into evocative words was somehow always a brick wall. There's just some way authors of popular series form sentences that was always envious in my eyes.
But moving on, I will finish this novel. I do have ideas planned out that I want to try and execute on, and hopefully the result will be good. However, this novel most likely won't be a multi-series as originally planned, because of the sheer amount of work require to reach there. I rather write something I can look back on and see how far I come in the future. I don't plan on being a best-selling author, but I do want to improve my skills to be on par with the top authors.
If you come across this story on Amazon, it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.
With all that being said, this novel is far from being done. I do try to do weekly chapters, and sometimes daily chapters, but it isn't always feasible because of the way I want to frame a scene, but I can't put it into words.
Anyway, rest assure that this novel will be done eventually, given enough time, but I guess you can say that about anything.
don't trust me to keep my promises
oh yeah, next chapter will be up in a couple of days
