Chapter one: end of the tour (READ AUTHORS NOTE BEFORE READING)

Walking through the hallways I could feel a sense of familiarity. The school was never that hard to navigate for me, but I can understand the difficulty in navigating a new environment. Will commented on the high school’s interior remarking about how it's nicer than his old high school. I asked him what his old high school was like. “The walls had paint peeling off, there was old carpet smell everywhere, lights buzzed and just shut off, kids got into fights everyday, there was even an incident in which someone brought a gun over some dude talking to his girlfriend.”

I never would have believed that someone as positive as I could have come from such a dysfunctional high school. I reassured him “the most interesting thing that happens around here is someone dropping their books”, i declined to tell him about the rampant bullying problem, i figured that someone who looked like him would get bullied. Now some people might try and bully him, but they would not get very far. Considering he is about 6 feet tall and 250 pounds of pure muscle. He looked like a giant compared to everyone else at the school

We talked while i was giving the tour, i mainly asked will just general questions about himself. “Well my mom works at a local hospital as a doctor, my dad works as a nurse, although he usually stays with her when they both are at work. I swear those two are inseparable sometimes. You would love to meet them” i wish i could tell him the same about my parents. Will looked me dead in the eyes and said “you know you’re really cute. Why don’t you eat dinner at my house tonight'' I asked him why he would say something like that. “It’s because I think you are cute, and I want to get to know you.” while saying that his face went the color of cherries and he seemed embarrassed, it almost pained me to tell him that i don’t know him well enough to decide on dating him, so i told him that i would respond later once i have thought about it”

I sent him off to the third period and walked into mine. Now English class was an interesting case for me. I was always good at writing but not good at public speaking. The question will be asked in my head all throughout class and until the bell rings. This kept on going until the end of the day, everyday i took a wing of the school that was rarely traveled in order to get home as early as possible.

I guess I wasn't able to think about anything but that question, because when four upperclassmen approached me and demanded my money I didn't notice them.

I was cut back into reality after the smallest one punched me right in the face. I wasn’t expecting it so i got knocked back into the lockers where i promptly fell to the ground, i touched where he punched me and checked for blood, luckily there was none. After the initial attack the rest started beating on me, they were kicking my stomach, groin, and stomping on my arms. The last thing i remember was the biggest one of the men raising his foot getting ready to kick my head into the wall, i could barely make out the smell of lemon from the clean floors and the fluorescent lighting which is usually always on being turned off , the whole hallway stretched out about 40 feet and at the end of those 40 feet was a door to the outside it let the outside light creep in like lights at the end of a dark tunnel. I felt a blunt pain and then everything went black.

The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

I awoke in an unfamiliar environment, the walls were a dark green color, the bed i was on was about a king size with fitted grey sheets and a grey blanket, the pillow was also grey. I tried to stand up but my knees buckled undermine when i shifted weight onto them and i fell on the floor, i was unable to move because of the pain. Ever since i woke up i had a mild pain that i attributed to being tired, but after i fell down the pain was upgraded to a stabbing pain in both legs. I cried out “help me, i don’t know where i am, and i can’t walk.”

after i started yelling i heard the sounds of a heavy man running up a flight of stairs, suddenly i saw will coming through the door. “Why am i here” i asked, he then told me how he found me being beaten by the group of men and how he fought the biggest one, according to him they all ran away after that. He helped me back onto the bed and told me what happened afterwards. “When i fought the guys off, you were just a bleeding mess all over. I knew my mom and dad were home i rushed you to my house so she could help you, my dad helped my mom patch you up”. “She then told me to give you some dinner and let you rest”. “So what room am i in right now” i asked shyly.

“You are lying in my bed,” he responded, his voice was not that of someone who would just fight a guy over no-one. More so his voice was one of someone who always tries to help everyone he can. He brought in a bowl of chili, which was my favorite food. “Thanks, but may i ask why you decided to help me??”. “Well to be honest, you needed help” he responded without any malice. “I meant more like why did you decide to help someone who needed it, am i a special case?”. “Well to be honest at my old school i was a victim, i got bullied every day ot was relentless, one day i couldn’t take it anymore and tried to hang myself.” “luckily my mom came and checked on me at the time so i couldn’t, after that i thought about it and decided i couldn’t end it because my family would be sad, and after that i dedicated myself to helping those who need help in whatever way possible.” he said with a saddened expression on his face, i could tell that remembering this caused him great pain so i didn’t ask any further questions.
