In the blink of an eye, what was supposed to be a great day turned into something very miserable.
Being forcefully taken away by the guards, Levi could no longer see whatever unfolded on the stage. However, the last image he saw was very satisfying. Dread and embarrassment were clearly visible on Prof. Robert’s face.
‘Everything is going according to plan C,’ thought Levi while his twisted expression returned to normal. He now had a calm and serene gaze, like he was an entirely different person.
The guards shuddered for a short moment, then looked at each-other: ‘This person is crazy!’
In their line of business, such situations were rare, but still happened from time to time. Having ample experience as bodyguards, this wasn’t the first time they encountered such a situation. Despite that, what happened this time certainly took the first spot. The transition from ‘crazy’ to ‘normal’ was too swift. Levi did not put up any physical resistance whatsoever, nor was he bothered by what was happening.
The guards were some muscle gorillas, way over six feet tall, making any physical resistance futile anyway. In fact, if they wanted, they could snap his body in half in mere seconds. In spite of that, Levi looked like he was in full control over the situation.
“Don’t try anything stupid!” said one of the bodyguards with a fierce gaze. He was trying to apply some fear into the other party. His tactic failed miserable, and what he received was nothing but a disdainful gaze. At that moment, the guard felt like a total idiot.
Swiftly, and without anything unusual happening, Levi was put inside a police car, and taken under arrest for twenty-four hours.

.
.
This wasn’t the first time Levi was held into custody, so he felt like home.
Extending his hands, Levi stretched his stiff body. He wasn’t a very active person when it came to physical activities, but had good genetics. This aspect allowed him to spend more time on his research.
Lifting his right leg up, Levi smashed it hard against the floor. He wasn’t superman, so nothing extraordinary occurred.
The guard happened to look his way at that moment. “Everything ok?” he asked with a scornful face.
Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.
Levi grinned weirdly: “Everything is fantastic! It’s not like I’m being forcefully held in this shitty place.”
The guard’s smile disappeared. All of a sudden, he wasn’t anymore in the mood to talk, so he left.
Looking at the hideous pale blue of the walls, Levi’s smile also vanished: ‘It is done!’
The moment he smashed his foot into the floor, a certain device from his shoe activated. That device was connected to a few bombs he secretly placed in Prof. Robert’s private lab, as well as his secret place.
Levi’s eyes became unfocussed. All of a sudden, he felt empty inside: ‘Now what?’
Since as long as he could remember, Levi was smarter than anyone around his age. This brought some sadness when he was younger, but nothing that he couldn’t handle. After all, having almost nothing in common with the other kids was a little troublesome.
Of course, there were benefits as well. Money, recognition, praise, and much more could be easily attained. Levi’s desire, however, lied in another place. His childhood dream was to be able to effectively harness, and store the power of lightning.
A big dream even for him.
The challenge was epic, and the problems that had to be resolved were many. However, the biggest hurdle he had to face wasn’t related to science, but to his behavior.
Along with his genius, he had one more special thing about him. He would get angry very fast, and after a certain point, could no longer control his actions. With time and age, there were some improvements in this regard, but nothing major. Because of that, he would often get into all kinds of trouble. To fix this kind of issue, he had to plan ahead in almost every situation.
The situation with Prof. Robert was a good example. He knew that such a thing would happen, and had already prepared around ten solutions to solve the situation. Plan C wasn’t the best, but he felt that he had to take this route.
Despite all the impediments, his life goal was achieved. From his point of view, humanity was undeserving of such a gift, so the version he exposed to Prof. Robert was a faulty one. As for the genuine version in his secret laboratory, he has already decided to destroy that too.
And such, a feeling of emptiness took over. After all the years of hard work, and with his objective completed, he was now in dire need of a break, to sort out his life.
Then again, there was something he failed to take into calculation. The energy resulting from the explosion of the laboratories should have scattered towards the skies without anything abnormal happening.
That did not happen.
Instead, the energy resulting from the explosion of the faulty project combined with the energy of the authentic one despite the distance. That, plus a few other factors, contributed to something very abnormal.
“Hey, is that watch broken or something?” asked Levi after seeing that it was still two in the afternoon.
“Fuck!” Due to the distraction, the guard lost the game that he was playing on his phone. Comparing the time that the watch from the wall indicated with the time indicated on his phone, he said in a grumpy manner. “It’s two and five minutes, the watch is not broken.”
Hearing his answer, Levi’s pupils constricted. The guard took a few good moments to notice that something was wrong. “Why the fuck is it so dark outside? Is a big storm coming?” Going towards the window, he took a look outside. After a few moments, he stumbled back, and fell on his ass.
“Shit! Shit! Shit!” in the next moment, the guard bolted to his feet, and ran outside, disappearing from sight.
