Chapter One
----------------------------------------
A decade later…
In a lone spaceship somewhere in the universe, a person is sipping an ice tea from his home planet, while holding a holographic book about all the species that his ancestors discovered so far.
"That species is fascinating! I wonder if we could resuscitate them… If we had the technology."
The computer, Lucy, begins shouting the message of ‘WARNING, WARNING THERE IS LIFE LOCATED IN THE NEAREST GALAXY!’ with her repeating it two more times.
The nerd was startled from the shouting, he finishes his tea fast as he could and threw his holographic book, causing it to vanish in midair. He kicked his foot into a trash can that was in the shape of a little robot with the name "Wall-E" on his tank.
"OW! My ducking foot! Why the hell did I put that trash can next to my door?"
He ran over to his dashboard as the computer stopped shouting and pulled up the holographic map was showing the nearest galaxy.
"Lucy, can you establish if there is any life in that galaxy?"
"Yes, there are three or four solar systems that show signs of life."
"Sweet stars! Could you send the space probes to these locations, please?"
"Sure Mister, they're now launching to their destination. What are your orders?"
"Let go to the nearest galaxy while we wait for the results. For now, I'm going to sleep."
#
After a few hours of sleep, the computer tried to wake up the sleeping man.
"Hey Mister, wake up! Mister…? Very well…"
The computer disabled the gravity, causing the sleeping man to float upwards. Once he was high enough, Lucy turns on the gravity, making a loud thudding noise as the young xenoantropologist hit the ground, fetch a groan of pain.
"Lucy! Why did you do that? You could have used the lights, or some noise to wake me!"
"Sorry mister, you were impossible to wake up even with light or noise, so my other choice is to wake you up with gravity. I received the results from the space probes."
"Pfff you shouldn’t do- what did you just said? Tell me the results, please!"
"Sure Mister, the space probes found at least three solar systems that bear life but only one of them have the highest chance to have sentient life. The two other solar systems are highly primitives and destitute in their atmosphere."
"Alright then! Let go to that solar system then, how does the planet look like? Never-mind, I want to see it with my owns eyes!"
"No problemo, should I warp up to the destination?"
This book is hosted on another platform. Read the official version and support the author's work.
"No, hold the same speed for a few hours, and then you can warp us up because I still need some sleep."
"Then, I hope you will have a good dream, good night Mister."
Lucy turned off the light.

Four hours later, the young man woke up with disheveled hair, took a quick shower and made his breakfast as Lucy greeted him.
"Good morning Mister. Did you sleep well? I took the liberty to warp up our spaceship while you were waking up."
"Huuuh… Oh…? Ah yes! Thank you for doing that! Let me finish my breakfast and then could you please hook up the screen so I could see how the planets look?"
"Sure Mister slumber, it will take a little while to power it up."
"Mister WHAT? Oh ah-ah, you trying to tease me, weren’t you?"
"Who knows?"
#
The young man sighed after he finished his breakfast, he stood up to check his dashboard in the next room. It wasn’t much like other planets he knew; It was a strange planet, deformed with 3 moons in various size. It was green, brown and blue, much like his home planet at the very least.
"Lucy, did you already investigate the atmospheric conditions, right? Could you please tell me what the results were?"
"Sure: The planet is 60% Nitrogen (N²) 30% Oxygen (O²) 0.73% Argon (AR) 0.3% Carbon Dioxide (CO²) 0.3% Ozone (O³) AND 8.67% Unknown."
"Fascinating! That means I can breathe with no problem!"
"Yes."
"Alright, is it safe enough for me?"
"I don't have enough information to confirm… But it looks safe enough."
"I see… in this case, do I need any equipment?"
"No, but at least take the communicator, please. So, I can smuggle you out of any danger."
"Good call! Then that means it's time to land on the planet, please!"
"No problemo, brace yourself and don't puke over your dashboard please…"
"Ha… Ha… Ha… Very funny…"
#
After a while, the spaceship finally landed on the ground. The young man took food with him, as well as devices to help in searching for any sentient life, and a recorder for any data related to life forms. He got out of a spaceship and told Lucy:
"Alright, I'm outside, could you pay attention to my surroundings, please?"
"Sure, but I will go home for some spa-treatments."
"Good th- what? Are you kidding me?"
"Yes, it was a joke."
"Bad Lucy, BAD!"
Lucy barked like a dog in response.
"Pfff… seriously… Alright, close up the door and stay far away enough from the ground, please."
"Done!" as the spaceship taking off in the sky.
"Good! Then, see you later!"
"Seeya!"
#
After the spacecraft was gone, he pulled out a flat-screened device from his satchel. To which it immediately booted up. He touched one of the applications related to the camera system, using the thermal vision, ultraviolet vision, radio waves, and another thing related to life aura. The man turned around, something then catching his attention: there was a significant source of heat, life aura, and UV in the direction to the west…
He spotted something strange close to the river, tapping the zoom feature again after zooming in as much as the device could. He was amazed by the vision he saw on the screen; a group of creature working together in the river. All he could see was the green marks falling and bobbing up because they were still far away, and no mention there was a heat wave that distorted their forms. Which meant he had to walk out there as close as he could, it would take hours to finally see what they really looked like.
Some hours later, he took a break after walking for so long. He once again took his flat device out from his satchel as he sat down on the massive rock. He tapped an app to activate the holographic map as Lucy had already scanned his surroundings. He looked for the best possible path to reach the best possible observational spot for these creatures as well. Once he finished the review, he ate some snacks and then decided to take a small nap.
Only a few minutes later; a mysterious creature rose above the massive rock, staring at the sleepy boy…
