Maron woke up staring at the ceiling of his room, it was already morning, but he didn’t have the strength to stand up, he just lied down on his bed without caring about mundane matters, he suddenly remembered when his mother would wake him up and force him to go to school, he would tell her five more minutes but that always never works, but he still kept saying it though. Maron chuckled at the nostalgic memories.
After a few minutes Maron finally decided to get up, same as his usual routine before going downstairs. He washed his face and gargled some water to remove his morning breath. Afterwards Maron went on his way downstairs.
There he could see the two happily chatting on a table, the two were so immersed in their conversation that they didn’t even notice that Maron was there until he was already seated.
“Morning” Maron greeted. “What are you two talking about?”
“Morning” Sakura said. “Just some gossip on the streets, looks like a knight in golden shining armor is roaming around the street yesterday, he was even carrying a Kingbird, he is the hottest gossip in the kingdom right now, everyone in the streets is trying to guess who it is. It looks like someone’s turning to a superstar.” Sakura teased, knowing full well that the guy was Maron.
Maron didn’t respond to Sakura’s teasing, instead he made a funny face at her, afterwards the three ordered some coffee and bread to start their morning. When suddenly a woman came up to their table and sat beside them, it was Aqua. She greeted the good morning and grabbed a piece of bread from the plate of Sakura, which didn’t seem to mind about it.
“Why are you here?” Maron began.
“I’m here to tell you guys about the tournament, it will be held this week on the Empire’s coliseum, also it seems like it’s because there are people from Courian that’s coming. That’s why it became a very big deal, it was excessive of them to announce it on short notice and expect us to be able to make preparation in such a short amount of time, all the adventurers are registering to join the tournament.” Aqua explained.
“I’m here to tell you guys about the tournament, they said that the tournament will be held this week, it seems like there are people from Courian that will supervise it.” Aqua said. “That is why it suddenly became a big event, now everyone in the streets wants to start a festival on the days that the tournament will be held”
“A festival?” Maron contemplated. “I guess the people from Courian are really superstars, to be able to start a festival in another kingdom.”
“Yeah, tell me about it” Aqua said. “As long as you’re from Courian, you become a big deal anywhere. That is why I want to study there, that’s why our party need you Sakura, with you in our team we’ll certainly win”
“Okay” Saura said shyly. She turned red with embarrassment.
“What kind of tournament is it?” Maron asked. “I don’t think my gun is suitable for a non-deadly tournament.” Maron said getting worried, he didn’t have any weapons aside from his guns, and his guns are used as a tool to kill and nothing less. “I think I'm going to have to back out”.
“Don’t worry, this tournament will be run by professionals from Courian” Aqua said. “I doubt that they would want someone to die, they would probably have some item that will prevent the participants from dying”
Maron just shrugged, he thought for a moment and agreed to what Aqua said.
The four continued their breakfast and gossiped about the golden armor guy yesterday, in which Maron acted ignorant and played along. Aqua’s personality made her easy to get along with, any stranger that looks at them now would think that they have been friends for a while. After finishing their chat and breakfast Aqua said her goodbye and gave them the location of their guild.

“Here, if you need anything don’t hesitate to ask me” Aqua said and then waved, in which the three also waved back.
“What do we do now?” Wuglat asked.
“Well, since the tournament is this week” Maron said. “Why don’t go outside and train our skills, we don’t have that much to do anyway”
“Sorry” Sakura said. “I’m going out with Aqua later, she said we were going shopping later”
“That okay” Maron said casually. “What about you Wuglat?”
“I’m going to pass too” Wugalt said. “Since I'm not in the tournament, I think I need to focus more on leveling because your levels are too much, I think I need to catch up and also the adventurers at the guild are starting to party with me, when they knew that I was friends with Sakura”
“Wow, that’s good, alright I'll train alone then.” Maron said unconcerned.
Training alone was not a big deal for him anyway, he understands that the two don’t need to be with him all the time, and he needed to raise his accuracy too, well it didn’t really matter anyway cause he had infinite ammo, he could just hold the trigger down and hope a bullet would hit, but still raising his abilities is always better.
Afterwards Maron went outside of the gates and found a wide space. He realized that he needed some targets, so he went to a nearby tree and carved a circle on it. First, he used his Desert Eagle and was shooting at 10 meters and then 20 meters, until he reached 200 meters, at 200 meters his bullets would sometimes hit outside the circle. Then next is his MP5, he did the same procedure and lasted until 250 meters, he also only used his sleep bullet all the time to level it up. The Desert Eagle and MP5 are the only guns he will use in the tournament. He was afraid that if he used his other guns it would be unfair for his opponents.
A couple of hours has passed since Maron started training his accuracy, Maron finally could hit the bullseye even in 300 meters. Now that he finished training with his Desert Eagle and MP5 he wanted to try out how far his sniper rifle could reach, he tried moving as far as 500 meters but it was too easy, he could still hit bullseye effortlessly, he tried as far as 1000 meters still he was hitting the middle, until he got to 2000 meters, he was still able to hit inside the circle, however not in the middle anymore.
Maron decided to end his training and come back to the inn. There he found Julius sitting on a table waiting for him, however he didn’t want to talk to him right now, instead he immediately walked to the stairs, he just wants to go upstairs and take a rest, he was exhausted from training, his right arm is all sore from the recoil of the guns he had used.
“Maron” Julius stopped him.
“Is it done?” Maron asked about the potion.
“Not yet” Julius said. “But can I talk to you for a moment?”
“I’m tired right now Julius” Maron said. “I just finished training. I just want to take a nap right now”
“I just wanted to thank you for the Kingbird yesterday” Julius said. “I only wanted the eyeball, but you gave me the whole thing, so if you need any other potion you can ask me anything.”
“Yeah, sure” Maron said nonchalantly. “I’m going to sleep now” and then he left for his room.
After coming inside his room, he went to the bathroom to wash away the sweat and smell, afterwards he lied down on his bed without any clothes on and immediately slept.
