Chapter 1: F*cking Troll
Author: Mouse_Kun
About ten years ago, spatial cracks tore open across the skies, and monsters began pouring out. In less than a year, they had conquered half of Earth. Not even modern weapons—including nukes—could stop them.
But then, certain people began absorbing crystals from the fallen monsters. The first hunters emerged, and with them, humanity avoided total extinction.
Ten Years Later...
The smell of instant noodles and stale coffee filled Jaemin Park's cramped apartment. Books, sticky notes, and empty energy drink cans cluttered every available surface. In the midst of the chaos sat Jaemin, staring blankly at his laptop. His fingers hovered over the keyboard, but no words came.
“How can I be stuck after 999 chapters?” Jaemin muttered, rubbing his temples in frustration. “Maybe I should have the protagonist fight a god... no, that's too ridiculous,” he sighed.
He glanced at the comments under his most recent chapter.
[Eat_da_banana]: "Bro, it’s been 3 months. Are you alive?"
[Rotten_flower69]: "If you don’t finish this soon, I’m dropping this trash!"
Jaemin groaned. “I get it. You’re all impatient.” He needed a break. Grabbing his coat, he stepped out onto the small balcony, hoping the fresh air would clear his mind.
Sitting down with a cup of coffee, Jaemin gazed at the building across from him.
"Guilds..." he murmured. "I always wanted to be a hunter. These days, hunters are like celebrities. They get fame, money, respect… everything." He sighed again, taking a sip of his coffee.
"But me? I just write about them. I wasn't smart enough to pass any exams, and I don't have the charisma to lead anyone. This is the best I can do—writing these fantasy stories to make ends meet."
He leaned back, looking up at the dark, thundering sky. “Then again, maybe it’s not so bad. At least I don’t have to risk my life fighting monsters. I get to sit here, safe, earning a living.”

Jaemin finished his coffee, closed the balcony door, and shut down his laptop for the night. "I’ll finish the final chapter tomorrow," he decided, crawling into bed.
Outside, the night deepened, and the thunder grew louder. Dark clouds gathered above Jaemin’s apartment, swirling ominously before compressing into a single point. A massive bolt of lightning shot down, crashing into his building.
The explosive sound jolted Jaemin awake. His heart raced as he sat up, disoriented.
"What the hell? Did lightning hit my house?"
Rushing into the living room, he froze, eyes wide in disbelief.
"Holy sh*t..."
The roof of his living room had been completely blown off. Rain poured through the gaping hole, soaking the furniture.
"I haven’t even finished paying off my mortgage, and now this?! I’m so screwed," Jaemin groaned, running his hands through his hair in despair.
"Wait, where’s my laptop?" His heart sank. "I don’t have any backups... If it’s gone, I’m done for."
Frantic, Jaemin searched the rubble until he found his laptop under the remains of his shattered desk. Strangely, it was still on.
"Didn’t I turn this off? Am I losing my mind?" he muttered, holding the device.
Suddenly, the screen flashed brightly, filling the room with an intense light that made Jaemin shield his eyes.
A series of mechanical dings echoed from the laptop:
“Ding! System installation in progress.”
“Ding! Pairing host with system.”
“Ding! Congratulations on awakening the system.”
Jaemin blinked, shaking his head as the glowing screen dimmed, leaving the faint hum of his laptop in the now eerily quiet room. He stared at the laptop, half expecting it to explode or dissolve in his hands.
Before he could react further, a translucent interface popped up in front of his eyes, hovering in mid-air like something straight out of a video game.
[Name: Jaemin Park
Level: 0
Experience: (0/10)
Hunter Rank: None
Class: None
Skills: None]
Jaemin rubbed his eyes in disbelief. "This can’t be real... I’m either dreaming or I’ve finally lost my mind after staying up too many nights."
He tapped the floating screen, and it responded, expanding into a more detailed profile of himself—something that looked like a character sheet from a video game.
Suddenly, a loud Ding! rang in his ears.
[Main Mission: An unknown entity enjoyed reading your novel. Seeing you unable to come up with a good ending, it decided to help you. Now your world has been merged with the novel you created. Achieve a satisfying ending to complete this mission.

Seeing the text in front of him, Jaemin broke out in a cold sweat, his face going pale as he fell to the ground.
"My novel merged with reality..." Jaemin said, trembling.
He didn't know whether to cry or get excited.
“Great, because some unknown bastard was bored, I’m f*cked,” Jaemin said, his voice filled with annoyance.
After calming down a bit, Jaemin stood up, his eyes fixated on the screen.
"Maybe this isn’t so bad. I can interact with the characters I wrote about, and the main thing is that I can finally do something exciting," Jaemin muttered, sighing.
Suddenly, he remembered something and quickly checked the date.
"F*ck! I completely forgot about this event that happened in the very first chapter of the novel. There’s only a little time left before it happens. I’d feel guilty if innocent people died because of me writing a novel!" Jaemin shouted, panic visible on his face.
"I have to get some rest first. There’s no time to waste right now." After saying these words, Jaemin ran to his bed to get some rest so he could be more active in his grind.
The Next Day...
Jaemin woke up early in the morning, refreshed and ready to do some grinding. The first thing he saw was the system panel. After closing it, Jaemin got dressed and walked out of his house. At that moment, an evil grin appeared on his face.
"I hope this works," Jaemin muttered to himself before heading out.
