Submission rules:
Section 1
1. Write a short story (read section 2 for details).
2. Submit it via
* Private Message to this account in the form of a link to a Google documents file.
* Email to [email protected] in the form of a .doc/.docx/.odt file stating your RRL nickname.
3. State in the PM/Email if the submission is signed or anonymous and the tags of the story.
4. Wait for the results.
Section 2
* Every author may submit up to two short stories. In the case an author decides to submit two stories, the two stories must be separate and cannot be part of the same narrative arc nor contain the same characters or locations.
* The story must be a horror story.
* The story must be between 500 and 5000 words.
* All stories must have a title between 3 and 100 characters long.
* As long as the main genre is horror, the story can have any setting and subgenre, e.g. historical, fantasy, sci-fi, contemporary, etc.
* Mature content is allowed as long as it is appropriately tagged following RRL rules.
* All stories must be submitted before the 29th of October at noon GMT.
Reviewing Rules:
A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.
After reading a story you'll find a link at the end to rate the story. There are a total of 6 scores:
* Overall
* Style
* Grammar
* Characters
* Story
* Horror
Please rate the stories appropriately and try to be objective.
Winners:
After the reviewing period ends we will collect the data and give you the winners as soon as possible.
There will be 7 winners:
* Karen’s Champion: highest average between all scores.
* Jack of All Trades: highest overall score.
* Fashionista: highest style score.
* The Nazis Are Here: highest grammar score.
* Talking Skeleton: highest characters score.
* Once Upon a Time: highest story score.
* King of Terror: highest horror score.
Every winner will get an RRL achievement. Any author will be eligible to win in only one category. In the case one person happens to win in two or more categories, the moderators of Writers to the End will choose which one shall be given to them and the remaining ones will be assigned to the runner ups.
