*Whistle*
*Whistle*
A whistling sound could be heard from a person laid on the bare ground. Her knees hovered one another as her foot swung, following the slow rhythm to her whistling tune. Her hands joined together and placed behind her head as her gaze remained fixed on the dull ceiling.
Her whistling came to a stop, and a tired sigh followed afterwards.
''It's too boring.'' She complained.
Life in prison was definitely not interesting.
After causing havoc for years, she had been curious about life in prison since many special organizations had been after her life and were keen on making her pay by spending the rest of her life rotting in prison. Now, she wanted to knock some sense into her past self for being delusional. The prison was definitely no fun!
Apart from eating, sleeping, and weekly interrogations, there was nothing exciting about the prison life. It wasn't like those tv shows where the life in prison would be so thrilling, and the main character would have to kill his or her way to the top.
Her life right now wasn't near that type of life she had imagined.
Oh right. Let's not forget the frequent fights between herself and some arrogant prison mates. At least those type of fights that were depicted in the tv shows did happen during her stay in the prison, but she quickly got boring of them.
She even ended the life of two prison mates thinking that things would be fun, but no, none of that happened. Instead, many began to fear her, and fear was not what she needed to make her life in prison interesting.
Chaos sighed once more. She definitely regretted her decision to come to prison.
As always, she laid on the bare ground rather than the bed affixed to the wall on the side of the room.
'Again..' She thought as a strange feeling evaded her heart. Other than the boredom she frequently experienced in her life in prison, there were times she felt not restless.
Before going to prison, Chaos would always be up and doing. She would try to predict the steps of all her enemies and make them regret trying to outsmart her.
Let's not forget about the daily assassinations in her life, though those killers were definitely in the bottomless pit in different parts of the world.
Ah yes. She also tried to make money by stealing from many banks and politicians' account, doing some assassinations, stealing some important information from several governments and selling them on the black market and dark web....Well, there was no need to retell her life story, but Chaos's life was obviously far from normal.
Normal and Chaos definitely did not together.
During her life in prison, Chaos suddenly noticed one day that she did not have thoughts of her enemies. She didn't need to think so deeply about the steps they would try to take to end her life.
Of course, that did not mean that she lacked enemies here. No, it was the exact opposite. She had enemies, numerous to count, but they were not threatening enough for her to be on guard.
With just a glance, she could tell when someone was trying to pick a fight with her or held intentions of ending her life.
Unlike then, Chaos just felt the need to do nothing. Her mind, that used to be on alert every second, was no more. Her head now was filled with what food they would give her for the day or which stupid person would try to pick a fight with her, though that was unlikely not going to happen ever.
The days during her life in prison were somewhat close to normal. Chaos thought it was that way and actually preferred her new lifestyle.

*Beep!*
The door to her prison room made a beeping sound. That sound alerted her that someone was about to come into the room. As she expected, the door slid to the side, revealing a prison guard carrying a tray of her food.
As the door slid closed, Chaos eyed the familiar person coming closer to her figure. Finally, it was time for her meal. Looking pleased, Chaos rose up into a sitting position as she waited for the prison guard.
'Oh...?' One of her brows arched up as she noticed something weird about the prison guard. Normally, the prison guard would look at her disdain, but now he avoided her gaze. Her sharp gaze caught his free hand tightly curled up into a fist.
''Don't waste my time!'' He angrily hissed at her while dropping her tray directly at her front. Droplets of her meal spilled on the clean floor, but Chaos overlooked his rudeness. Well, at least she knew his attitude hadn't changed towards her.
Before Chaos could say something, he quickly stood upright and walked away as if he was running from something.
'Hmm...' Staring at the slobby mashed potatoes on the yellow tray, Chaos's thin lips spread out into a wide grin as her dark gaze flickered in amusement.
'Did I do anything to him?' She thought, going through her memories of the numerous people that she had killed in the past. At the same time, she began eating her meal. She also caught the relieved sigh that had escaped from the prison guard.
That small action made chaos to scoff in her heart. And people call her evil, when they, who thought of them as good, do things like this.
Well, she was very hungry. Even if her food was clearly laced with poison, Chaos still ate her meal with relish. The chefs in the prison had gone through a lot to prepare this meal for her. It wouldn't be good for her to waste their efforts.
Under the scrutiny gaze of the prison guard, Chaos finished everything on her tray till the last drop. After drinking water from the small plastic bottle, she put her hands together and closed her eyes to appreciate the chance of being alive to eat a wonderful meal like this.
''Thank you heavens for the meal.''
Without a flaw, Chaos watched how the prison guard walked towards her again. She caught the panic in his eyes, probably wondering why she had not shown any sign of being poisoned.
'Unfortunately for him, my body is very resistant to....' Chaos couldn't finish her thought as something sticky and gooey trailed from the corner of her lips. Her eyes moved down to the drop of blood that dripped on her orange prison uniform.
''Oh dear. It seems my body is at its limit.'' Amid the dizziness she felt, Chaos mumbled as her body flopped to the ground on her side.
Her death was just as simple as that.
Upon getting to the now lifeless body, the prison guard was stunned at first, until his lips twitched to give out a happy smile.
Finally, he has gotten his revenge. He thought, bending down to pick up her tray
''Death is too easy for someone like you. I wished the organization had locked you up in the tortured room.'' The prison guard snorted, standing upright. He turned his back and was about to walk away thinking of how he would make up a story of Chaos's death to the organization.
''Oh...? then what kind of torture do you think is suitable for a person such as myself?'' An amused voice sounded behind him. Startled, he wanted to turn back to be sure that the voice was his hallucination, but he sensed a presence very close to his back.
''Move one step and this little thing will pierce through the veins on your neck.''
Her words made his eyes to go down, and he sharply sucked his breath as he noticed the glinting blade of a knife an inch away from his neck. How was she with a knife?
''You wonder how I am with a knife?'' She asked, as if his thoughts were revealed to her.
''Well, I stole it from someone. Can't remember who, though.'' While she was thinking about his question, the prison guard thought he had a chance to press the red button of the paralyzer hanged on his belt. Unfortunately for him, Chaos had been waiting for him to make a move, and she did not waste time in moving the sharp blade on his skin.
''Ah...Ah...'' Even if the prison guard wanted to make a sound, he couldn't, because Chaos had neatly slit his neck, specifically his vocal cord, and his body dropped to the ground. Blood splattered on her hands, and Chaos stared at the red liquid dripping from the knife. Her dark eyes followed every movement of the dripping blood.
Something pulsating stirred in her heart, and a wide smile made its way to her lips. The pupil of her dark eyes constricted and shook in excitement. The pounding of her heart accelerated more than ever. She had been waiting for something like this to happen. Something that would make her body react like this. Even if it was too easy to end his life, Chaos enjoyed seeing those who thought they were not similar to herself die by her hands.
But...
The same as the prison guard, a large amount of blood spluttered from chaos's mouth.
''My body is really at its limit...'' she muttered, a bit dissatisfied that she wouldn't enjoy the familiar thrills of killing someone to the end. At least, she got to enjoy bits of it at the end of her life.
As Chaos felt her dropping sideways, her eyes caught the CCTV camera up affixed high up on the wall. Its lens focused on the last smile that appeared on her bloody lips as she uttered her last words. The people watching on the other side watched as her mouth moved.
''See you in my next life.''
Her world became dark after that.
