“May the gods help us on this day.” a man looked out over the plains, his sight stopping on a figure clad in a thick black aura that seemed to ooze out like slime. The man pondered why he was facing this being himself, one that he once called friend. Why had things come to this? Was it for human’s survival? Or some religious nuts crazy tellings. It was inevitable that this were to happen ever since the day the hero’s arrived it was fate that this day came.

Worldz Online had come out 7 years ago, and has been the top fantasy VR game for 4 years, it lost its popularity this year though only around 20,000 players play consistently. Of course advancements in VR gaming has made it possible for players to be inside the game and experience 60% of all pain and other senses. Unlike other games though Worldz Online doesn’t shut you out when you are dieing and of course all pain is numbed if your brain seems to be in intense distress.

Phoenix Heart?” Noah was the only person in his history class that hadn’t joined Worldz Online, but he had finally saved up enough money to buy it. About 4 months ago his history teacher, Daisy Jordan, had an idea to have the whole class play Worldz Online to help everyone get along. It was actually because Noah never interacted with anyone in his class other than his childhood friend Gus. Noah put on the VR helmet and sat down at his desk. He linked the helmet to his computer and clicked on the Worldz Online icon. The helmet booted up with a beep and vrring sound. His vision went black for only a second and then was filled with white.

“What do you wish to be called?” A female voice echoed out in the blank space. What would he call himself? He had always used Hark or Azaress for his username. So what should he use? Earth? No thats probably already taken. So then what?
“Origin” It wasn’t entirely original but it was the best he could come up with. His name was accepted and the character creation screen popped up. Surprisingly Origin hadn’t been taken. A full 360 image of him floated in front of him. His hair was a dark brown, he was short compared to most guys only 5’5. He was really skinny too. His were a light green and his jaw was square and his head round. He was never found of his shortness or his round head. Unfortunately the most he could do was change his hair, eye or skin color, or add very little adjustments to his body.
“I guess that's okay, it'll be easier for them to find me this way. Confirm” Origin suddenly passed out. The moment he regained consciousness he was sitting in a vast plain with a forest to the east. And what seemed to be the capital in the north.
“Well now I just have to find my class. Which way to go? Oh! First my stats.” Unlike most games Worldz Online takes your real life physical fitness and converts it into stats and gives you a unique skill only you possess.
