As the sun loomed over a metropolis city, a young man, 14 years of age, was waiting for the bus. As he looked at the timetable, he heard loud voices coming closer from the outside of the bus stop. As he looked out, his face fell as he saw his classmates.

Although, he wasn’t bullied in class, he wasn’t exactly popular either. He was the one in the middle of the pack, most of his classmates didn’t mind chatting with him but did not go out of their way to help him either if he fell out of favour of someone more popular for some reason. The ones outside, they were exactly the popular ones.

“Tomorrow, we have 9 lessons...” A pubescent voice sounded, not really deep but not like a boy’s either. “At least two of them are woodworking lessons for you boys and home economics for us girls, however, the English lesson after that…. I seriously don’t have the energy to go there at three in the afternoon….”A higher pitched voice sounded out.

As the group kept talking about the next day of school, the boy in the bus stop frowned as he thought to himself, “I really don’t want to deal with them any more today….” However, after thinking a bit, he let out a sigh as he knew that they would see him go on the bus and probably follow him to relieve boredom. Just as he accepted his fate and started preparing himself for dealing with them, a faint “Ding” sounded out and all sound disappeared.

“Huh?”

As the boy turned around, he saw that everything was frozen, the cars that were passing by, stood still, the leaves that had been rustling from the wind were frozen in the position the wind had been pushing them. As he cautiously walked out from the bus stop, he looked around. Then, he saw someone standing in the middle of the road, grinning, staring straight at him. The figure wasn’t hooded or wearing a mask or anything but no matter how he tried, he could not make out the persons features.

At one glance, it seemed like a young woman but a blink later, he was an old man. As he looked at the person in disbelief, the figure spoke out, “Jack Lumi, I am here to cordially invite you to the world of Elun.” The young man was mute. After a while passed and the boy did not answer, the figure sighed and said in a defeated tone, “Yes, yes, I know that you do not want anything to do with these kinds of situations but trust me, this is not like in your summoning novels that you are thinking of.”

The young man named Jack was now startled and asked cautiously, “You can read my thoughts?” The figure nodded as it changed appearances again and said, “Currently, I am a Recruiter, a person that invites the representatives from over different time and space timelines.”

It then thought for a moment and said, “More simply put, currently I have full control over this entire Time and Space and can be consider something akin to a God. So besides freezing time, I can read minds, see the future, past, the present of every being in this Time and Space.”
