Chapter 49 - Infiltrating the Caravan

Chapter 49 - Infiltrating the Caravan

Rebel Heart was a little nervous as he waited for the two orcs' bids.

"My friend, we aim to restore the Orc Steppes to their glory days. We are trying to liberate the regions and make the real owners of the land rulers. Judging by what you said, our compatriots are in pain and humiliation. We need to end this as soon as possible."

Alyon's words were like the words Rebel Heart had in mind, but it wasn't something you could accomplish just by thinking.

"Since you've told me all this, I think you have a plan?"

Rebel Heart had experienced firsthand the difficulty of living in the territory of the region. He had to approach things from a realistic perspective.

"We have a plan. The real question is, do you have the faith to act for this purpose?"

The harsh words of the female orc staring into his eyes would shake Rebel Heart.

"I want to send you and your warriors to the holy land of the orcs. There you will be fed, trained to fight, and save your homeland. Perhaps you may even receive the grace of your ancestors."

"What is the grace of the ancestors?" Rebel Heart asked, growing astonished as the burly orc finished his words.

"My dear friend, our ancestors are putting us to the test to reward the brave orcs in the holy land. If we succeed, they offer priceless gifts."

Alyon had explained the basic mechanics of the bounty dungeon as he was considering becoming an ally, but Rebel Heart was looking at him in disbelief.

"Nafız, I think it is unlikely that he will believe our friend without showing proof!"

As Alyon called to Nafız, she too spoke, looking up at the top of Rebel Heart's head.

"What do you say, Kuyag? Can he obtain the grace of the ancestors?"

Rebel Heart raised his head as the female orc looked up at his seat and spoke. As his exposed neck froze with the coldness of metal, he saw the person emerging from the nothingness appear behind him.

"As far as I can see, he has managed to keep this community alive. After the training he will receive in the core tribe, he will succeed somehow."

Concluding his words amid Rebel Hearts' cries, Kuyag disappeared into nothingness again.

"Rebel Heart, this warrior is a person who ancestors have favored. I think, after what you saw and felt, there are no question marks in your mind."

Although he had led a community for a long time, Rebel Heart owed it not to his prowess or formidable fighting power but his timidity and prudence. The most important proof of this was that he did not punish the people who broke the order he established and sent them to where they would be killed.

"I will talk to my community. I'm sure they'll look forward to joining you, like me, after their troubles."

"We are waiting for your reply soon; hurry up!"

When Nafız finished her words, she was about to come out of the tent when she suddenly turned to Rebel Heart and said, "You are the only one who knows Kuyag's talent; make sure it stays like this!"

Rebel Heart was shocked when he explained the proposal to his community. The orcs, weary of distress, accepted the offer as they heard it.

Ultimately, they decided to make it, and frankly, Rebel Heart was open to the idea. One day after announcing to Nafız that he accepted the offer, he appeared in the area where three supply-type war machine groups were located.

When the community set out for the core tribe, the unit sent by Butcher Haydo withdrew to their lands. The duo, who were left alone, were determined to enter the city as they made their way to the transit route of the slave traders in line with the information they received from Rebel Heart.

After a short journey, the caravan transporting slaves from the orc tribe to the city was in sight. Silently approaching the caravan, the two of them were heartbroken when they saw the railed wagons holding the orcs.

The fish-stacked orcs were quite battered during the long voyage. The smell in the environment said that some unfortunate orc could not survive in these conditions.

While Alyon and Nafız were hiding under one of the primitive cages, they started implementing their plans when they came to the densely vegetated area. Nafız took her bow out of her ring and smashed the heads of two of the caravan guards.

"Alarm, everybody stop! Get ready to fight!"

Alyon had already ripped off a few bars of the cage when the guards took a defensive position at the shout of the officer in charge. Nafız continued to shoot her arrows, taking advantage of the darkness, and the orcs that had a chance to escape were scattering in all directions.

Unfortunately, it wouldn't be long before the caravan fell into disarray. Many of the fleeing orcs would be captured and put back into repaired cages.

Although the event was over for the bodyguard unit, which lost a few guards in the attack, there was something vital that they did not know. Inside their cargo were two orcs who had sworn to bring the end of Parthenia.

"Trader, you have brought many of these barbarians into the city again!"

"Dear guard, our cargo has arrived at the order of the city council. If you have a problem, please feel free to share it with the members!"

"Open the door, let the scumbags pass!"

The conversation between the gatekeeper and the merchant was a routine affair. Although the city guards did not like orcs, the council presided over by the city lord of Parthenia and made up of the leaders of the noble families would make the final decision.

The salty wind from the sea was likened to the kiss on the face by the city inhabitants by their loved ones, but it was a torture device that cauterized the orc's wounds by the wagons.

Most of the orcs in the caravan emerged as adult orcs from the bars; they were cast as they were born. The drama of the orcs who spent their lives in cages until they wore their slave collars around their necks was unfathomable.

"Alyon, I have your equipment. Don't do anything that will get you killed. Be patient. When everything is over, we will be able to shed blood to the fullest."

Even though the two had infiltrated the convoy from very close to the city, they witnessed unacceptable situations. Many times, Alyon was distraught but had to restrain himself for his ultimate goals.

''What will you do? I'm sure your bracelets and ring will appeal to everyone!"

Nafız's belongings looked old and unattractive, but there were slave traders who must be taking this equipment.

"I think you forgot whose daughter my master was and why she was plunged into disaster. These are not items for me; they are part of my body."

While Nafız continued her words, her bracelets and the ring on her finger began to sink into her flesh.

'Our homeland is in danger, and we must avenge your master Alyon. Nor have I forgotten what was done to Mora, and when we reach the Realm of Hell, none of them will escape my wrath!"

"Get down, you goddamn idiots!"

The two's heated conversation would be interrupted when the slave trader's forked voice was heard. Alyon and Nafız, crouching behind the wagon, turned their faces to the sun in the light of the new day as they watched the orcs emerge before them.
