PARTIES? BODIES? And WHAT!?:

Part 1

As the day goes by, Elaine finds herself feeling nostalgic.

after meeting the weird janitor. Becoming frustrated over thoughts of the man, Elaine tries her best to forget the situation, and goes on with her day. Elaine's last class ends, and she journeys to her favorite part of school, which is after school soccer practice.

At soccer practice, Elaine forgets about everything and focuses on her training, as she gets into her flow state, she starts performing superior athletic abilities.

She first begins her training by stretching the muscles in her legs getting blood flowing in them, then she continues with bodyweight exercises.

She starts off with squats for fifty repetitions then goes to lunges no rest for fifty repetitions, next was sit ups for fifty repetitions, then lastly vertical jumps for fifty repetitions.

The next part of her training is cardio where she will do ten-meter sprints back and forward for fifteen minutes.

She then begins the main part of practice and grabs a soccer ball and starts working on soccer drills.

Dribbling between cones while sprinting back and forth thirty yards, passing the ball to teammates while speeding through the hundred-yard soccer field

And scoring two hundred goals consecutively.

Her coach compliments her and tells her to take a ten-minute break, which she reluctantly agrees to.

While on break, she thinks back to the janitor,

“So weird, yet familiar. Where have I seen him before?”

Elaine gets up and heads back to practice. She feels someone staring at her. She turns and spots the janitor across the field staring at her with a devilish grin.

“What the hell?”

The janitor waves at her and walks off.

“That guy is so creepy I swear.”

Elaine goes back to practice and by the end of practice her coach calls her to his office.

“Elaine, I've been meaning to speak with you.”

“What is it, coach?”

“To be frank, it’s about your performance. It’s not looking so hot.”

“Look at the peasant calling the king poor.”

The coach laughs,

“You’re funny. We aren’t talking about your soccer performance, needless to say you are very good. This is about your academics.”

Elaine looks concerned,

“I’m sorry what?”

“Some of your teachers have contacted me and it seems you're not doing so well in class. They say you’re always late and your grades are not looking good. Elaine you're my star player but if this keeps up you can't play on my team.”

“Well, that's not so much of a bad thing. It would give my back a break from carrying this team.”

“Elaine, I'm serious and you should be too.

If this keeps up, you'll lose your scholarship and you already know… Look,

I know you're in a tough spot in life. You've been in and out of foster care your whole life with no family to help you so you have to support yourself the best you can, which is stressful. Rose is there but there's only so much she can do.

I know it's tough Elaine, but you got to keep pushing forward so that-”

Elaine interrupts the coach,

“Look, I understand the concern, but could you not talk about something you don’t know about? I don’t need pity, and I hate it when people talk me like being less fortunate is who I am and what my whole life is about!!”

The coach is shocked by her outburst but continues,

“Sorry if I struck a nerve.”

“It's fine. Could we just hurry this up?”

“Well…if it has nothing to do with your circumstances,

does it have anything to do with what’s been going on in town? With all the killings-”

“No, it doesn't.

It's just…. You just wouldn't understand… no one does.”

The coach is shocked but tries to cheer her up,

“Elaine-”

“I'm sorry for the inconvenience sir, I've just been a bit out of it. I will get my grades up and I will do better. I am your best player after all.”

“Well, that's good to hear but if you ever need anything or you just need to talk, I'm here.”

“Thanks for the talk coach, I’ll see you at practice tomorrow.”

Elaine walks out of the coach's office, and travels to her dorm room.

Elaine sits on her bed thinking about what the coach said.

“He won't understand. No one will understand how it feels to not be loved by the ones you love. To be hated by them. To cause them suffering. To be a demon spawn. I wish I was never born.”

Elaine is shocked by a knock at her dorm door.

“Who is it?”

“It’s Rose, open up.”

Elaine opens the door,

“Rose, what are you doing here at this- what the?”

Rose races past Elaine to her closet and ruffles through it for a second. She pulls out some clothes.

“I want you to put on these clothes because we're gonna go party!”

“Oh no, no, no, no.”

“I can tolerate the arcades, picnics, malls, and theme parks you take me to. But you know I don't do parties, especially wearing that.”

“What's wrong with this? It's really cute.”

“Are you really gonna make me say it?”

“Yeah, let's try another one.”

“Or let's try none, I'm not going rose.”

Rose sighs,

“Come on Elaine, you can’t keep yourself couped up in this tiny room forever.”

“Just watch me. Why do you want me to come? Aren't your other friends supposed to go with you to things like this?”

“They are coming.”

“Then why do you want me to come? You know I despise social gatherings.”

“Because I was too busy with work last week to spend time with you. And the week before that you skipped out on our theme park trip, which was a very hurtful thing to do.”

(see if i can make new store places for the world)

“But you went with your friends. Plus, we hung out that whole week before then. We went to the Palazzo Mancini art museum, Sundies, the Zoo and we went to DZ Records music store.”

“Yeah, those are your favorite places to hang out. I wanted to go on rides with my bestie.

Come on Elaine, please come to the party.”

“I don't know Rose.”

“Please, please, please, please!

I won't make you come to a social gathering for a whole month.

So please come to the party with me.”

“I…I…Uh...”

Rose eyes start to water,

“Please Elaine.”

Elaine sighs,

“Fine, I'll go.”

Rose jumps in joy.

“Yayyyy!!”

“I'm not wearing the clothes though.”

Rose stops jumping.

“Oh yes you are missy.”

“Oh no I'm not, besides you're the one making a deal with me. Take it or leave it.”

“Is that right? Well how about I sweeten the deal and give you one whole month of no social gathering hangouts, a trip to sundies next week plus-”

Rose pauses.

“Plus, what?”

“Plus, I'll buy tickets to the BTS concert that's coming up.”

Elaine darts across the room and snatches the clothes from Rose.

“You know this shirt really is cute, but can I get some different pants?”

“I guess we can, there's not that many choices that can go with that shirt though. I think I went overboard when I bought you all these skirts.

We'll have to make a trip to the mall sometime next month so I can buy you some more pants.”

Elaine adopts a glum expression.

“You know Rose, you don't have to keep spending all your money on me.

You're already doing enough by helping me pay for college stuff. I can get a full-time job instead of part time and-”

Rose raises a finger to Elaine's mouth.

“Ah, ah, ah.

I can do whatever I want with my money plus it's not a big deal.

I make plenty of money and even if I didn't it's never a burden to share.

with those you love. Well, that's what my father used to say at least.

You just focus on soccer and making it as a big time Artist.

I'll be fine.”

Elaine smiles at Rose.

“Alright.”

“Ooh, oh, oh I think I found a better outfit.”

Elaine makes a sullen face.

“Oh brother.”

At a church in another city over.

A woman dressed in nun attire walks into a large office room where an older man sits reading paper reports.

“Yes Nunnally?”

“I've come to give you news on the construction site incident.”

“There's more news about it?”

“Yes, just six hours ago a one-hundred-foot-long tunnel was discovered. Inside of it was a mass grave of corpses estimated to be about two hundred or so bodies.

And a giant cocoon was found above the grave.”

“Is that so?”

“Yes sir, Progineer.”

The older man sits forward in his chair and clasps his hands on his desk.

“Is there anything else to report?”

“Unfortunately, there is.

Across the globe attacks have been getting more frequent and more aggressive.

While there aren't as many casualties as the city we're currently working on, there have been missing persons, city explosions and a larger frequency of natural disasters happening around the globe.”

“Is there still no response from the Elites?”

“Fortunately, yes sir, I was going to tell you that next. We have been able to get in contact with one Elite.

But unfortunately, they are unable to act at this moment.”

“And who is it?”

“Jane Lionheart sir.”

“Hmm, I see.

“So, there are multiple casualties happening worldwide and our elites are missing.”

The older man sighs then lean back in his seat.

“We may have to call in a favor from our old, winged friend.”

“Do you think he can help us?”

“It's not a matter of thinking, it's a matter of doing.

Let's just hope he hasn't gotten rusty with his new laxed job.

Call for him immediately.”

“Yes sir.

If I may ask, what will you be doing sir?”

“I'm going to be figuring out what's going on.

Our elites are Mia, there's multiple casualties happening, and

our enemy is more coordinated than usual.

I need to figure out our next move and that starts with knowing.

what's going on and what does our enemy want?”

The nun says her goodbyes to the older man as she leaves the room.
