*WARNING! THIS CHAPTER CONTAINS SUICIDE. PLEASE SEEK HELP TO PROFESSIONAL. YOUR LIFE IS PRECIOUS. PLEASE CHERISH THEM.*
Once I finished creating my character, the system showed me a candidate of 5 individuals as the first batch of players.
As the loading information was completed, the screen displayed these 5 people, including their profile information and background.
I saw and read everyone's profile information intently.
[Players Information.
Game ID: 002
Name: Yoon Jaeha
Age: 22 Years Old
Gender: Male
Occupation: Player
Player Background: Yoon Jaeha was a prodigy who gained fame as a professional gamer. Accused of using cheat programs in a recent competition, he faced a lot of backlash from the gaming community. Despite never using any cheats, he became very depressed and took his own life in his bathtub.]
Upon reading the first player's profile, I was stunned. What did I just read a second ago?
I questioned myself if I had read the paragraph wrong, but no, it was there. Just what's wrong with this player description? I turned to the system and asked,
"What do you mean by this? Hey system, answer me!"
[The player Yoon Jaeha took his own life?]
"Why are you asking another question? I want an answer!"
[We're sorry, we couldn't...]
"???"
[We apologize for the inconvenience. Regarding your question, we will explain this shortly.
The player Yoon Jaeha has died in your world. The other candidates also share the same fate.
Think of this as their new life to start over.]
'I don't know if this is a good thing or not for them. But this description doesn't make any sense. I knew this Yoon Jaeha, I watched his previous tournament match before. He doesn't seem like someone who would do such things. Not to mention his family was rich. If something like that happened, their family could take care of them.'
My mind was full of thoughts. I didn't know if I should take this seriously or not. I was still half and half, thinking this was a dream or reality.
As I was deep in thought, another pop-up message appeared on the screen.
[This is not your fault. You don't need to worry.]
"Of course, this is not my fault. I'm just so confused with all of this. Could you at least explain things to me so I could understand what's going on?"
[We will try our best to provide you with an explanation without breaking the rules.
To start, this event you're experiencing is not a dream. Once the game starts, we will send you to the game world using the character you created.
Your role as an administrator is to guide these players who will soon arrive. Due to our server connection between your world, there might be an arrival delay.
The players who enter this world are either dead or unconscious for a long time.
The game rules are simple: survive or die. Once a player dies in the game, their souls will be sent to the Master Core.
We couldn't provide more information than this. Later, once you reach an advanced stage, you will see for yourself the truth of this world.]
"How am I supposed to accept all of this? I never signed up for something like this! Get me back to my world!"
"I beg you!"
[We're sorry, but this is impossible.]
"I don't want this kind of reality. I love games, but I don't think I could gamble with my own life."
[Even if you insist, you are already dead in your world.]
I was stunned.
"Huh? What did you say? Say it again?"
[You are already dead.]
"You must be joking. I still remember I just finished my drink and then fell asleep. You can't fool me."
Stolen novel; please report.
[-_-]
"Are you being serious? Am I dead?"
[100%]
I felt like my body was slowly losing its strength.
"How did I die, do you know?"
[You fell asleep while holding your phone that was connected to the charger. You were electrocuted.]
"What? That sounds uncool."
[To tell you the truth, you died twice. But even if we tell you, you won't remember.]
"I see, then don't tell me. I feel miserable right now. How could I accept that kind of dying style? I feel like crying right now."
[That's so lame of you.]
"Shut up! You shouldn't say something like that to the deceased."
[But you're still alive here though.]
This system is annoying. I feel like eating these robotic voices.
[Would you like to proceed to the last step?]
I wiped my crocodile tears. To think this system didn't buy it is frustrating.
"There's a last step?"
[Of course, there is. The last step is the most important thing as it will provide you more guidance to understanding the game.]
"Alright then, just go with what you want. I don't feel excited at all."
[You haven't read the rest of the player profiles yet.
Would you like to continue to the last step? /Yes or /Yes]
"Yes."
[Preparation For Departure.... 0,005%]

As the system's voice stopped, the information of the game flooded my brain until it made me unconscious.
This system, what does it mean by wishing me good luck when it sent me to this predicament?
=====
Inside an abandoned factory, Yoon Jaeha and four other survivors woke up from their sleep, their minds in a confused state. Jaeha himself was perplexed about what was going on.
He looked at the four people in the same room as him. There were two females and two males, all seeming just as confused as him. One of the women, dressed in office clothes, spoke in a loud voice.
"Where am I, and who are you guys? Are those bastards also kidnapping people?"
Her voice was furious, but then she broke down, crying as she put her head on the ground, trying to hold back her tears.
The guy with a beard and a low voice came next to her, rubbing her shoulder to calm her down.
"It's okay, it's fine. Don't hold back your tears, let them out."
Feeling comforted, the woman let out her emotions, tears flowing freely from her eyes.
The other woman moved to the corner of the room, seeming anxious. She bit her fingernails and trembled while murmuring something.
The guy who looked like a high schooler had been staring intently at Jaeha. His hair was blonde, and his eyes were blue, making him look like a foreigner compared to the other three.
He stood up from his place and moved next to Jaeha, whispering, "Are you mister pro-gamer Yoon Jaeha?"
His eyes twinkled with curiosity. Upon learning that someone knew his identity, Yoon Jaeha moved away, feeling uncomfortable, but the kid kept following him with his curious eyes.
He sighed and confirmed to the kid that he was indeed Jaeha. The kid suddenly became excited, grabbing Jaeha's hand with his hands and saying,
"I can't believe I'm meeting you for real! I'm a fan of yours, mister pro-gamer Yoon Jaeha."
"I've watched every video of you streaming games and your tournament matches. You are the best!"
The kid kept yapping excitedly, making everyone in the room look at them in disbelief.
Jaeha grabbed the kid and covered his mouth with his hand. The kid was now quiet. After releasing his hand from the kid, he whispered to Jaeha,
"Mister pro-gamer Yoon Jaeha, my name is Noah. I'm your fan from France." Noah smiled excitedly, seeming to forget about their situation.
Jaeha didn't pay much attention as he scanned the surroundings with his eyes.
The room was dirty, with windows covered in thick dust, making it impossible to see outside. There were a few empty lockers; the room seemed to have been a changing room before. The long steel chair beside the door was already rusted.
There were five people in the room, including him. They all seemed to be thinking the same thing as him, except for this unbothered kid. Did he think this was a field trip or something?
Jaeha felt very confused. He looked at his wrist, where there was a scar that looked like a cut. He remembered the memories of ending his own life in the bathroom. He felt ashamed and regretful.
While Jaeha was deep in thought, a growling sound could be heard from outside the room. The sound was vivid but still distant, sounding like an angry dog growling.
Everyone in the room spontaneously looked in the direction of the door, wondering where the sound was coming from. It sent goosebumps down their skin.
