Chapter 7: Mission slaughter

chapter:7

After another night of nonstop cultivation David still felt fresh,

there wasn't desire to sleep at all.

He could feel himself stronger but it was surprising

that after two day of cultivation he still hadn't broken through the first qi gathering realm.

Talking a walk, he saw the bright faces of the survivors as they moved about.

David's face suddenly hardened, it was already the third day,

He didn't wish to waste anymore time.

They had to eliminate the goblin threat quick or risk extermination.

He walked towards the vice principle had explained his thoughts.

Mr.Larsons face was cold but after thinking about it for a while he finally steeled his heart and nodded.

David knew they couldn't continue hunting the goblins in such a lax manner and wanted to intensifie the clearing of the school.

When everyone heard the plan their eyes lit up.

There wasn't anyone who opposed the idea.

Nowadays it was normal to go out and kill goblins, you even gained levels and became stronger.

Everyone knew in their hearts that the only way to survive ,

was to gain more strength.

Mr.Larson sent scouts to check the area .

There was a silent agreement to finally start the extermination in the left block of the school.

The number of goblins wasn't much and suited the needs of the group to level up before they could handle stronger enemies.

The original three active teams were increased to ten which were to be lead by David.

Looking at the neatly arranged group with iron spears anyone would panick.

Although thirty people seemed small when they walked side by side they blocked the hallway not leaving a sigma crack for a fly to pass. They seemed quite intimidating from afar.

The thirty people were split in half and would constantly replace the other during the who,e campaign.

David lead at the front, like some sort of battle junkie he rushed about mowing down the goblins.

The sight of his back as he killed numerous goblin hordes boosted the morale.

The first battle finally came to an end.

“ He did IT! He finally did it ! ”

He had broken through the first level of qi gathering!

He quietly opened his stats and was delighted by what he saw

Name: David Greycastle

Level:17

Body: 26(6)

Power:20(6)

Mind:15(6)

Free stats points:5

An increase of three stats points wasn't small at all.

It was equivalent to three whole levels worth of stats.

If he continued gaining stats in such a way ...

David grinned from ear to ear. This was just the first level there still eight more.

Thinking of this David could all but get excited.

Like an unstoppable tide they continued the extermination the following day.

The survivors worked together and easily handled all the goblins.

Finally during the third day since the beginning of the hunt they encountered a tough situation.

A goblin horde blocked their path.

There were easily forty goblins in the horde,

A bald goblin leader led the group.

Without any warning David suddenly flew out from the group,

Leaning forward he pushed off the ground propelling himself into the depth of the horde.

With a large shout he swung his giant axe aiming for the goblins head.

With a loud snapping sound a head flew out, the goblin leaders headlessbody fell loudly on to the ground scaring the rest of the goblins.

The goblins shrieked in terror , their eyes were like large watermelons bulging outwards

They scampered backwards with shaking bodies, they willtofight was broken completely.

David was merciless, without giving them a chance he waved his hands,

Next several heads flew upwards, blood spurt up endlesslyfrom the headless bodies.

The hall was filled with an atmosphere of bloodlust and panick.

The goblins retreated rushing to escape, they trampled on each other to run.

The survivors created formation eternallysealing the goblins chance of escape.

The place was filled with screams of terror had a foul stench which drifted about.

Following David's example The Others jumped in to slaughter to slaughter the goblins.

David stood I the clearing filled with the corpses of goblins.

Looking around his eyes shone brightly. If they were able to carry on like this,

They may actually have a chance at survival.

Seeing that all surrounding had been eliminated; the others finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Although they had easily defeated the goblins this time, this was thanks to David.

Since they had cleared the way, they promptly made their way down the hallway,

There was still more goblins to be slain.

The atmosphere was oppressive, everyone walked silently.

The place seemed dark, the light that illuminated it grew deem.

This was the seventh day in the apocalypse; in just seven days everything had gone to hell.

Although most of the survivors had families outside, non dared to venture outside,

Looking at the situation in the school, no one could imagine what it would be like outside.

No one knew what the future held for them; but looking at it from another perspective,

they were all extremely lucky, they had survived!.Out of the thousand inhabitants of the school,

they were the only survivors, this simple fact made them proud.
