“We can go now,” Carvalho stated. His face showed clear irritation, his voice laced with annoyance. “It’s been five minutes. I told you, it was fine to wait until tomorrow morning! Why didn’t you listen? You need to be more careful!” He was yelling as he made his way towards the exit of the laboratory. A couple of assistants followed closely behind him, trying their best to keep up with his quick pace. They were all sweating profusely as they tried to move forward at a steady pace. One of them tripped over his own feet, falling flat on his face. It wasn’t very graceful.
“I’m sorry, Dr. Falcão. We didn’t know that we would get hit with this storm,” one of the lab assistants said apologetically.
He stopped walking, turned around to look at the man who had just spoken. “And how do you know that? This storm is caused by a large amount of radiation. It must have blown in through the ventilator shaft. There’s no other reason for why such weather could come through the ventilator shaft. If you’re so clever, then explain it. How did this happen?”
The assistant swallowed loudly. “Well…it’s like this…the wind picked up and blew us out of the room when you opened the door and we couldn’t see where we were going because we were blinded by the sudden light…but, well…”
“You should have taken your glasses off,” the scientist finished for him.
“Y…yes. We should have,” he responded hesitatingly.
Carvalho took a deep breath and released it slowly. “Look, I understand your frustration. I too am frustrated about what happened. I even feel like I might blow my top right now.but we have to fix the generators before the dinosaurs come out and we start hunting says Carvalho. The generator rooms are next door. I’ll take the first floor while you take the second.”
“Alright, Doctor,” the man answered, nodding his head in agreement. Carvalho went into one of the labs and started working on the generator.but a noise from a giant foot starts to sound in Carvalho's ear. A huge noise that shook the entire building. The sound echoed in the halls and the windows rattled violently. The scientists looked at each other confused and scared. Carvalho grabbed the handle of a nearby toolbox and quickly ran down the hall, shouting that everything was ok. Everyone nodded in response but nobody really believed him. Then suddenly the lights shut down all of a sudden. There was no electricity flowing through the air or running through veins. Everything was dark and silent. All of them began whispering to themselves, asking if they should continue working. Finally, Carvalho decided to call for help, but he got cut off by the sounds of heavy footsteps coming from above him.suddenly an assistant started screaming for help. The rest of them screamed and ran away from Carvalho's lab, not wanting to face whatever was on the ceiling. The loud noises kept getting louder and louder as the lights flickered back on. Eventually, the lights came back to life, but not without some sort of destruction. The hallway was littered with tools, broken glass and blood. The walls were scorched with electrical burns. Some kind of animal had made its home on the roof and was chewing away on the generator room, devouring everything within reach. Carvalho screamed again, hoping to attract the attention of the dinosaur that was still eating.nothing appears, when Carvalho looked back he saw the Velociraptor coming towards him but to attack but Carvalho managed to dodge it in time. As soon as it landed on the ground the dinosaurs began moving faster. The whole group began to panic. They ran everywhere, trying to find any place that they thought was safe. But nothing seemed safe anymore. Suddenly the beast charged towards Carvalho again, but before it could reach him the creature was ripped to shreds by the claws of a raptor. The animal that attacked the Velociraptor fell to the ground, lifeless. It turned its head towards the others who were standing there watching in horror. They all backed away slowly, trying to make as much distance between them as possible. As soon as they were far enough away, the creature turned to chase after them.everyone was running to the exclusive Carvalho exit. They had no choice but to leave. But as soon as they reached the entrance, something flew past them, smashing the exit doors shut.they watched helplessly as the remains of the door began to melt and crack as it disintegrated into tiny pieces and fell to the ground. After another roar, the last of the doors was crushed. The screams continued to echo throughout the facility, making it even worse. No one knew what was happening but somehow they knew that the beast would never stop chasing them. They continued to run, desperately trying to stay ahead of the predator, trying to evade the monster.
but the whole group was cornered by the dinosaur and there was no way out. They all started crying as they held their arms out to block their faces from any potential blows. The monster closed in, preparing to finish the job.but suddenly 100 shots hit the creature all over its body, killing it instantly. The people let out a relieved sigh as they breathed out a sigh of relief.
then the whole group of people looked at who saved them, 3 people who saved the whole group were Vicente, Victoria, Johnny, and Carvalho. They were all smiling brightly and clapping their hands together happily.
"How...did you guys do that?" asked one of the assistants, a young man named Jorge.
"That's impossible,” another replied. “There was no way we could have done that!”
Carvalho smiled at the crowd in front of him. "Thank you for saving our lives," he said sincerely. "I cannot thank you enough for what you did."
He then bowed slightly.
"No thanks necessary. We were happy to help. And now...you have to help me fix those broken computers!" replied Vicente cheerfully.
"Wait..what?! We can't fix anything! That thing destroyed everything!" shouted an assistant.suddenly a loud roar of a tyrannosaurus rex was heard throughout the entire facility.
"Come on, hurry up! We don't have much time!" yelled Vicente, grabbing Victoria by her wrist and dragging her away.
"What about the dinosaurs?!" called the assistant frantically.
But Vicente simply ignored him.
"Hurry up! There are still dinosaurs outside!"
After that, the entire team, minus Carvalho, left for the exit.
Chapter 2
It was dark and cold inside the lab when Victoria woke up. She was drenched with sweat, breathing heavily. Her mind was racing from her nightmare. It was so vivid. It felt so real. She shuddered lightly Victoria then looked to the side and saw a giant Tyrannosaurus Rex dominating the room, roaring. Victoria froze and stayed quiet, afraid to make a sound.
She then remembered she was in the lab. But why? Where was everyone else? What was happening? Why did she have such a terrible dream?
A loud rumble shook the entire lab. The Tyrannosaurus rex stopped roaring and roared again, much louder. Victoria could hear screams coming from outside. People were running in the corridors, screaming and screaming.
What was that dinosaur doing? Victoria stood up and rushed to the door. She had no idea what was going on. She couldn't see anyone outside, but she could hear them. There was the sound of gunfire and explosions.then Tyrannosaurus Rex woke up again. Victoria froze and listened carefully. Another roar. Victoria wanted to run outside but she also felt like she needed to protect herself. So instead she moved slowly over to the wall near the window and stared out cautiously, watching as another dinosaur, a Toxodon, appeared from seemingly nowhere, and began tearing apart the facility. Victoria watched in awe and horror as the dinosaur tore through buildings, destroying anything that it could get its mouth around. The entire scene made Victoria shudder. She had never seen anything like it.
Suddenly the sound of a gun being fired echoed through the building. Victoria jumped. She knew exactly who was shooting it and she knew exactly what had happened.Victoria fell to the ground and saw Tyrannosaurus Rex looking at her, so Victoria looked back and saw a grenade, Victoria took the grenade and threw it at Tyrannosaurus Rex. The bomb exploded just inches from the Toxodon. Tyrannosaurus Rex immediately ran away from the explosion but the damage caused by the explosion was not enough to kill him. It looked back at Victoria one last time before fleeing to the west. Victoria ran into one of the offices and hid behind some cabinets. As soon as she got behind the cabinet, she looked down at the floor and noticed a large hole on the floor. It was very wide and long, almost reaching the bottom of the room. She wondered how big the hole was and why there was a hole on the floor. Was it caused by a meteorite or something else?
Victoria then jumped into the hole and saw a helicopter. The helicopter was empty. She climbed in and sat down. Suddenly another explosion rocked the building and Victoria covered her ears. When the shaking subsided, she opened her eyes and looked around. Nothing seemed damaged. Maybe the explosion wasn't meant for the helicopter. But maybe someone wanted to destroy the helicopter, or maybe the building itself.
so Victoria turned on the helicopter started to fly and Victoria promised to rescue all the people on this island.
she didn't know who she was trying to save. But she knew she wouldn't be able to live with herself if she didn't try.
