“Follow me my new trusty steed! TOGETHER, WE WILL BE UNSTOPPABLE! HA HA HA HA.”
A fairy the size of a palm declared and laughed haughtily.
She had a violet dress that looked like an upside-down tulip, and dragonfly wings. She had a violet flower in her black short hair, with her bangs cut diagonally.
I-is that a fairy? She is so cute and is so pretty, but why is she calling me a mount?
Tokki stared at the fairy with curiosity.
“A BRAVE ONE I SEE, HA HA HA HA, usually the rest run away when I pop up. You are perfect, now don’t make any sudden movements or it will sting a little. [paralyze cage]” Saying that the fairy summoned violet bolts of electricity that surrounded Tokki and wrapped tightly like a net.
Seeing this, Tokki panicked and began struggling, however it was futile as she struggled too much, the net paralyzed her and made her go limp.
“Good girl! He he.” making Tokki hover midair trapped. “I’ll feed you lots of karots later so you can grow big and strong to carry me to victory! Let’s go!”
The fairy started flying deep into the woods. Tokki knew she was completely outmatched and gave up. She went to see what was the stats of her kidnapper.

[A mystical fairy, rarely founded in forests across the continent, born from nature and harnesses nature, don’t let their small size fool you.]
---
Oh my god, she is so OP, I can never run away from her god.
The fairy flew very fast, she made turns at random, ducking into hollow and fallen trunks, through a waterfall, around one specific rock 5 times, and eventually finding a very muddy pond that smelt weird that she surprisingly dived into.
As if the earth was flat and she dug her way to China, the world flipped and she was suddenly in a new environment. She saw a forest with trees hundreds of meters tall. She couldn’t even see the leaves as a dense mist covered the tops. Many glowing mushrooms with all colors of the rainbow were spread all over the place, lighting the area up.
“Welcome to your new home!” The fairy gleefully shouted. “I’ll introduce you to my friends and the competition later, right now lets get you settled in the stables.”
The fairy carried Tokki into one of the wider trees, where she was met with a room that definitely did not fit in the tree. A large room, roughly 100 Tokkis wide, was filled with all sorts of fairies and pets talking to each other. From orange butterfly wings to blue feathers, there were so many different fairies. Another thing is, there were different animals too. A blue frog, a dire wolf, lightning squirrels, and even a unicorn that has most of the attention.
A fairy flew up to the kidnapper as soon as they entered the place
“Hey Noel! Let me guess… new ride?” A smug yellow fairy with white feathers asked.
“Yep! Found this beauty while looking for a chipmunk, isn’t her fur pretty?”
“Indeed indeed, but. Is she fast?”
“Not sure, that’s why I’m here, going to check how many meters per minute she can go before she settles in.”
“Hope she is at least as fast as you, you think all the fast ones are too slow for your liking.”
“If she’s even a fourth of my speed, she’d be worth training, anyhow I need to get her tested now.”
“Alright I’ll see you later for dinner!”
“Tell your brother I said hi~.”
“No.”
Noel flew upwards with Tokki through the hole in the center of the room, passing twos, threes, tens of rooms before she found the stable. Releasing Tokki from the net onto a pile of golden hay, Noel rummaged in a bin nearby.
“Ah, here it is, now here is a gift from you to me! Wait from me to you I mean.”
Tying around Tokki’s neck was a grass ribbon with a wooden medal with the word ‘Gale’ on it.
“From now on you are Gale, because you WILL be faster than wind, quicker than lightning, and leave after images every step. Once you past my test of course, and not because I just had this lying around or anything.”
“Now eat this karot, its good for you.” Noel stabbed Tokki’s mouth with a crystal blue carrot.
[Exp +3] [Exp +6] [Level 2->3] [Exp +5] [Exp +3]
Wow! This karot gave me exp, what is this stuff?
Sliding a harness onto her, the fairy grinned.
“Good girl, now. Let’s see your speed!”
Grasping the harness, Noel led Tokki into a new room on the same floor.
…
THAT’S JUST A GIANT HAMSTER WHEEL!
“Alright Gale go into the testing machine and ill measure your meters per minute so start running, ill tell you when to stop.”
Although hesitant, Tokki climbed into the wheel and noticed 3 red lines and one green line, each spaced similarly from each other on the wheel. Prior to starting the test Tokki decided to spend 5 of her stat points on agility as her agility was nearly a fourth of the fairy’s speed anyway.

Alright let’s go!
Tokki began hopping in the hamster wheel. She felt as though it was flat ground, and every hop gave her a lot of momentum.
After waiting for the bunny to run for a bit, the fairy began counting how many times the green line passed beneath the bunny as the wheel turned.
“8… 68… 124… 256… 296, 300 and 1 meter, stop. Not bad, not bad, I myself personally can fly 4855 meters a minute.”
After running her hardest for a minute straight, Tokki was lying down, out of breath and exhausted.
“Hmm, we got to work on your stamina too.”
~
“Annnnnnd this is the track field!” Noel cheerfully exclaimed with her arms wide open. They were outside overlooking a mountain appropriate for their sizes. The track weaving in and out from the forest to the mountain paths.
“We start on the road to the mountain and see who can race to the top the fastest. I made a bet with my friends saying I can beat them with a mount I find only training for a week so make sure to work hard otherwise…”
Noel started glowing ominously
Tokki fearfully looked at the little fairy who was surrounded by purple lightning and nodded her head.
“Let me take you through the course to get you familiar with it, follow me. Here-” pointing to a dirt road facing the mountain “is the starting line, from here we go at a steady pace forward until we reach this river.”
Tokki looked at the river nearly 10 meters wide.
“You must be able to cross this river in one shot whether by swimming quickly or jumping it. Next, we entered the forest at the base of the mountain. The racing area is much bigger so you can run around the forest, but we have to find the exit of the place properly otherwise we would run in circles. One we exit the forest we run up the mountain, following the path, there are many traps like spike pits and falling boulders, but you just need to avoid them.”
Guiding Tokki through the staff path to avoid the traps, Noel brought her to the top. “And here is the finish line, any questions?”
There is SO much information you glossed over, you didn’t mention the crocodiles in the river, the poisonous bugs in the forest, and snow beavers on the mountain, this is a death race!
Nodding her head, Tokki vigorously wanted to know if she could just not participate in the first place.
“Alright tell me what you want.”
…
“I’m listening.”
Bruh I cant talk I’m a bunny.
“Now that I think about it you are an awfully quiet bunny, usually the others immediately shout or begged to be free, but you have not said a single word to me, nice and obedient but it’s like I’m talking to a rock.”
“I can talk?” Tokki carefully asked. “OH my god I CAN talk, I didn’t know I could talk.”
“Of course, you can talk silly, all animals can talk, the only ones who don’t know what you say are humans as they just don’t understand the language of nature but luckily us fairies know all the languages, even demonic.”
…
The fairy stared suspiciously at Tokki
“Don’t tell me you never talked to another animal, don’t you have parents and stuff? Were you abandoned?”
“I was um… kidnapped at a young age and I recently escaped, I never made a sound in fear so you can understand why I never talked.”
“Strange, you talk so fluently though, meh you are now my mount, and I am going to train you in speeeeeed. Let go back.”
~
“So, when will you free me?”
“When you win the big race of course! If not, we are training another 5 years to win.”
“That’s so long.”
“Just work hard, kay?”
“How am I supposed to win? I cannot jump over that river and there are giant crocodiles, I will die if I try.
“Just work hard, kay?”
“I’m only level 3, I am not going to achieve that at all, and I don’t want to stay here for another 5 years.”
“I don’t know what level 3 means but just work hard, kay?”
Giving up, Tokki knew she could never escape from this fairy.
At least this meant that the inhabitants of this world doesn’t know about the system and its level ups.
Bringing Tokki to another field, this time a flat meadow, Noel began training her.
“So, the first step to be the fastest is to adapt yourself to the terrain.”
“Adapt?”
“Yep, so when you suddenly change places in all sorts of terrain you will never lose your grip on the floor. Such as when you are running on sand, the ground cannot support you so you need balance your feet perfectly to get the maximum worth out of each step. If you were to be in a forest, you would have to be careful not to trip over roots, luckily this place has all sort of artificial terrain to train new mounts.”
Placing a saddle on Tokki, the fairy began to ride her and pointed to the direction of the forest area.
“I want you to run full speed into that forest and make it out on the other side.”
[Quest: successfully complete the training on your first try, Reward: 20 exp, 10 agility points]
Oh? A quest, ooo and I get 10 free points, I got to do my best!
“Ready, set, GO!”
Tokki took off and raced into the forest, then she immediately tripped and fell on a root prompting the fairy to fly off before Tokki faceplanted.
[Quest failed, New Quest: successfully complete the training on your second try, Reward 18 exp, 9 agility points]
“Ai, this is going to take a while.”
---
Deep in the forest, a phenomenon was occurring. Much of nature’s vitality converged, coagulated, and compressed. A crystal green sphere was formed out of this energy, its inside filled with a red liquid and half full, was hovering in the sky a bit before it descended into the forest. Many animals eyed the orb with hunger. The vitality that they would get from this orb with make them tougher, stronger, and live longer, so it was greatly coveted.
*boom* *boom* *boom*
A black boar, with scars riddling its body, its size the same as two elephants with two tusks the size of a claymore, let out a deep growl.
Many of the weaker animals retreated with their tails between their legs. They cannot compete with this monster.
*AWCK*
A golden giant eagle cawed and soared in the air, salivating at the chance to use the orb for a chance of evolution.
*GROWL*
Mocking the eagle, the boar challenged the bird to a fight. However, the bird was much more intelligent than the boar and sneered with disdain, it would rather use its high speed to steal the orb before the boar had a chance.
*sssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss*
A large boa, the size of a 8 cart train, dramatically made its appearance, and charged toward the orb before it finished compressing nature’s vitality. In an instant, the eagle dived towards the snake, not wanting it to disturb nature’s process. The snake changed its direction and bared its fangs towards the bird. As the eagle dived, it let out several blades of wind towards the snake. Although the snake dodged by bending its body into a weird shape, the resulting blade left deep gashes in the ground.
The boar, slow on the up taking, charged energy into its hindlegs. Like a powerful spring, it charged straight at the snake. Seeing that it was being ganged up on, the snake burrowed into the earth, dodging both the boar.
Emerging from the ground like a rocket, the snake shoots up towards the eagle looking to choke it. Dodging the snake by flying higher the eagle once again shoots out blades of wind towards the snake.
Soon realizing it hit nothing and was breaking nothing but a few dozen trees, the boar stopped and turned around. Steam exhales through its nose and focuses on the flying bird. His eyes glow red with anger, a beam of red energy fires from its snout and aims for the eagle. It was so hot, the nearby tree caught fire.
Sensing the incoming heat, the eagle formed a barrier of wind with the flap of her wings. The red-hot flames crashed and were deflected by the wind before dying off.
Distracted, the snake spat several stone spikes towards the bird then hissed at the boar. Answering its challenge, the boar charged back, however since he wasn’t exactly bright, he fell to the snake’s trap and the snake coiled its body around the boar, trapping him.
After trapping the boar, the snake began spinning slowly and accelerated quickly. Soon it looked as though a jade green and black drill was formed and began descending into the earth.
The eagle agilely dodged the rocks and placed its full alertness in the hole, both of its competitors were gone but the sphere was nearly fully condensed.
*rumble*
Feeling the vibrations in the air, the eagle condensed a hurricane into an orb in preparation for either enemy emerging to attack.
*SSSSSSSSSSHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAA*
The snake burst from the earth covered in stones and whipped its tail towards the bird. She met the attack head on with her orb of hurricanes and had it explode against the tail.
The air blasted both giants away. Sharp stone shrapnel pierced the eagle’s wings, making it crash in the distance. The snake was no better as it was flung away a great distance due to the winds.
As this was happening, the orb, filled to the brim with vitality, gently encased the sole young tree that survived the battle between the beasts. Like flowing liquid, the orb melted all over the tree, not a single leaf or root was not covered in this liquid and soon fused into its bark.
Surprisingly, the tree began to shrink and take a humanoid form, branches fused the bent into limbs, roots lifted from the ground into legs, the bark forming into armor, and long green hair formed from the leaves.
Looking up, the young girl had a wooden mask on her face, and a fiercely cold aura around her as though she was unapproachable. As she looked around, she completely ignored the barren landscape around her then, without hesitation, immediately walked towards the forest that remained.
Weaving into the forest, the girl made a complicated amount of turns and was soon far from the battlefield. Finding a clearing in the forest, the girl sat down in a lotus position and meditated. Her skin slowly corroded into bark, fusing with the food. Soon she was turned into a wooden statue. Although asleep and absorbing the vitality, no animals or monsters noticed her existence, it was as though she was just another tree.
And she waited.
And waited.
And waited.
