Chapter 2 Journey from Xioayu Village
Mei Hua riding a white horse down a road heading toward rainburrow. Starts to think about her family.
Mei Hua mubbles out loud to herself saying.
“I wonder what dad is up too? He may have been strict but I can tell that he deeply cared for me and Lier.. I remember when he brought me and mom back silk dresses they where so beautiful. Despite not wanting my brother to practice martial arts he would always buy expensive medicines to treat the injuries that he had gotten.”
Mei Hua hears the sound of twigs breaking from under the hooves of Philip breaking her out of her self reflection
“I need to keep my attention on safley getting to Rainburrow.”.

Mei Hua travels by horse by day, by night she would start a fire by the road and allow her horse to rest
and like that 6 Days and nights pass by.
Mei Hua awakes to the sound of Philip Shrieking. A arrow had shot Philip on his right front leg. Mei Hua looks around for the perpetrator who harmed Philip. She sees a Short man with blond hair holding a cross bow that he has pointed at Mei Hua He says
“This part of the road belongs to me if you want passage pay me 5 Gold coins if you do not have the money leave and never return.”
Mei Hua replies saying
“why did you shoot my horse do you not find that unnecessary.”
The short tempered man says. As he approaches Mei Hua with his cross bow pointed at Mei Hua.
“Are you going to pay or am I going to shoot you.”
Mei Hua slowly brings her hand to her coin pouch and gets up. She get behind Philip for cover. He fires another shot from his cross bow hitting Philip on his side. Philip charge toward the man enraged by him. The man blocks Philip and starts to wrestle Philip to the ground. Mei Hua throws her money pouch at the man draws her dagger and charges at him while the blond haired man is trying to wrestle Philip.

Philip valiantly tries to resist the man but start to get crushed by the blond haired mans incredible strength. Mei Hua stabs the man repeatability from the side hoping that her feeble strength may be able to harm the man. The man bleeds heavily from the stab wounds but he crushes Philips head in before falling unconscious due to blood loss.
Mei Hua thinks to herself “This feels horrible I never thought I would have to kill a human being. And Philips died trying to protect me he was a brave horse.”
Mei Hua breaks into tears and cried for quite some time.

Mei Hua digs a hole with her hands to berry Philip who had died. After she finished berrying the horse night had begun to fall. She rested the night and spent the next morning grieving the loss of Philip before continuing on her journey in the afternoon. She looted the atacker from the day befores corpse he had a crossbow, and a bag with 5 Silver coins in it that she took from his corpse. Because of what happened the day before she decided to treat the rest of her journey with the upmost caution. She Continued her journey with her backpack full of rations, her guzheng, crossbow, knife. After three days of careful movements she arrived at Rou Village. The village was made up of half a dozen cottages, two dozen shacks, and a inn for travelers heading through the village.
Mei Hua thought to herself (I need to find someone to travel with for safety's I don’t want to be attacked by myself again.) She goes into the Inn to talk to the Inn keeper. The Innkeeper was a middle aged red haired blue eyed woman in a green dress who wore a monocle over her left eye.
Innkeeper says to Mei Hua
“My name is Eloise dear, will be staying the night miss?”
Mei Hua says
“ Yes mam.”
“that will be 5 coppers”
Mei Hua gives Eloise 1 silver coin and Eloise returns her 95 copper coins as change
Eloise says
“Thank you for your patronage I wish you a good night sleep.”
Mei Hua asks Eloise
“Do you know if anyone is heading to Rainburrow I wanted to know if I could take a ride their with someone.”
Eloise responds
“ there is a group of farmers who are going to go sell their goods in Rainburrow they are departing in two days, I can help you arrange to travel with them It will be 1 Gold coin can you afford that miss.”
Mei Hua replies to her while pulling out a gold coin that she then puts into Eloise's hand.
“Mei Hua is my name mam here is your gold.”

Mei Hua woke up the next morning spent the day buying supplies for her journey, Including 1 month provisions , old wagon and a old work horse to pull the wagon. Alongside half a dozen crossbow bolts in case they end up fighting. In total Mei Hua was charge 5 Silver and 50 Coppers for all she bought for the trip.

The next morning the farmers meet up out side of the inn and Mei Hua departs with them, With Her Wagon and the rest of her items. The farmers are all equipped with crossbows in case of attack their where 12 farmers headed to Rainburrow with Mei Hua. Three weeks pass by in the company of the farmers from Rou Village. And she safely makes it too the city of Rainburrow.
