Hi there. I'm Fox, the author of Wolf of the Wasteland.
In our last chapter (12, Black Feathers) Wolf enters another state of mind, sort of like activating an ability or going ham/super saiyan. It doesn't really do her much good in the end. The reeling rifles disrupt her fighting style too much for her to combat the men like she usually does, which gets her trapped and desperate for the first time in the series.
What are your opinions of her entering this next-level ability/form? What about that chapter?
Wolf's red-eyed mode is rather brutal. She sort of enters a primal instinct/destroy everything mode by blacking out and surrendering herself to the chaos. What's your opinion on it? What it too gruesome/unappealing for Wolf's character?
Wolf has usually been in control of the situation until now and it made me iffy about some of those sequences. I was sitting there like 'but.. Wolf wouldn't handle the situation like that?!' for some of the scenes in that chapter, but she was left with not many options. She fell into a trap the moment she came into contact with the Mannequin from earlier, possibly it was being carefully watched or hunted.

The reasoning behind her getting caught in the end is that to grow and meet others she sort of has to be forced to. We all know she wouldn't give anyone the time of day in this period of her life- solo has always worked out too well for her, but now that she is a captive we will get to see some growth. She's locked out of her element and there's not much to lose when you're a prisoner.
