Ashran stood before the council drenched in water from the storm "She will bring it to me tonight." He stated with regret coating his words. "Very good!" Langton, dressed in the deep purple and gold of the military formals, praised as if it was something to boast about. As Ashran was about to speak he was cut short by council member noel, she to was in military formals, "is the transition chamber adequately prepared?" "Yes the glyphs and circuits have been adjusted as best as one can with regards to what we are working with" stated matter of factly from Aihacz. "There has to be another way! If we make demands surly they will ..." Ashran was cut short by Langston "you know full well what will happen if even a word of this was brought to there attention, and the only reason they don't know about this now is because of Jasera warding our discussions and work from there sight. No there is no other way we either leave, fight or be destroyed and even with all that we prepared i still doubt it will be enough." With that Ashran fell silent knowing it was fruitless to argue. A great quiet fell apon the room then in a voice so faint it was almost missed " With this the day of escape is near, freedom from the chains the deceivers have brought upon us." It was Rad who spoke this time but as he spoke a great BANG was heard and for a brief moment the energy that powered the glyphs responsible for lighting the room flickered and for the briefest of moments all you could see this room were the 5 pairs of glowing silver eyes that adorned all the council member.
After the meeting, Ashran departed, compelled to etch the final glyphs onto the test experiments. He walked through the city glancing all around paranoid that he would be killed at any moment, hoping that the clergy doesn't know what's going to take place tonight, but as he walked and gazed at all the ebon steel that flowed faintly with the glyphs that ran through and made up their city all he heard were the echos of thunder from the storm. Finally after walking for awhile he made it his lab and began finishing preparations. To keep his mind from wandering he wrote a glyph of calmness in a book, watching the magic of the glyph glow and surround his desk then he began to work. Each stroke of his quill was a deliberate attempt to distract himself from the impending turmoil, from the daunting task that lay ahead, from thoughts of her, and from what he knew he had to do to her. As he toiled, the lightning outside intensified, the wind howling its warning. Looking up, he noticed the absence of the moon, a cruel irony that seemed to mock his anticipation. "Of course, there is no moon; she is coming to me," he muttered to himself, a bitter smile playing on his lips.

Immersed in his labor, Ashran toiled relentlessly until Jasera materialized before him. A soft, golden glow radiated from her ethereal, dark skin as she presented a small wooden box. "I have returned with the final song." she whispered. Ashran stood up quickly so quickly that he dropped his quill. As he moved forward he was so nervous that his skin shimmering, like a starry night sky, with tiny freckles resembling distant constellations, and a subtle glow reminiscent of the soft light of a distant nebula. Jasera saw this and moved to meet him her golden eyes never breaking. She cupped his face "be at peace my love." Then opened the box and brought out a blade adorned with intricate glyphs that seemed to mirror the very essence of the cosmos, the blade was filled with a ever moving galaxy like it was carved out of Jasera herself. As Ashran peered into the blade, he caught a glimpse of the profound connection he had forged with Jasera. Yet, before he could delve deeper, she intervened with solemn words. "I know what you must do."
Taken aback, he stared at her, his voice quivering. "What!, how?" He fell to his knees. Jasera's countenance softened, her aura intensifying with a golden brilliance. "No apologies are necessary. I have long foreseen this moment since the instant I revealed the truth to you. Did you truly believe I couldn't hear your deliberations within my protective wards?"
"I-I-I don't?" Bewilderment mingled with sorrow in Ashran's eyes as he questioned her, his voice filled with anguish. "Then why have you brought this? Why do you calm my heart? Why don't you kill me? IT SHOULD ME!" Jasera's radiant aura glowed even brighter she to went to her knees her forehead meeting his she replied, her voice filled with unshakable conviction. "Because I am a foolish being, and have fallen like a comet. The moment I kissed you I knew you had to know the truth and once spoken I knew what would happen now get up my love fulfill your duty. I will always be here for one such as I can't truly die." She softly kissed him. "I can't" "you must" "there has to be another way" "there are but that isn't your path" With a swift motion, she clasped his hands around the blade and in a blur too swift for Ashran to react she sung the final song. The glyphs in the room ignited, their initial silver luminescence transforming into a radiant gold. Jasera's ethereal skin paled, the light in her eyes dimming until it faded into nothingness, yet her smile remained unwavering. Then, with a resounding hum, glyphs throughout the city blazed with an intense brilliance, as if awakening from a profound slumber. The world seemed to stir with newfound vitality. "NO!" Ashran roared as the body of Jasera turned to star dust and disappeared her radiance absorbed through the glyphs empowering there city, country, machines, people, and their war. Overwhelmed by a torrent of emotions, Ashran wept.
