"First take these. This should boost your luck, if it really affects which spell effects you get then this should help. They aren't the highest rank but if you suddenly came out with super high ranked or expensive items then it could be suspicious."
Roland made a small bag appear out of thin air before handing it to me. A necklace and a ring.
"The ring gives +80 luck and the necklace gives +30 intelligence and +30 luck."
Firstly I remove the ring that has been giving me 5 extra intelligence and slide the new ring in its place. After throwing the necklace on and inspecting my status, I see it went up the correct amount. These must be C-Ranked accessories that were cheaper because of them increasing luck.
"I've done it, now what should i do?"
"Summon a beast"
Following his command I summon a beast next to me.
'Summoned Creature: Tiger'
The light surges beside me and a tiger appears. It lowers its stance and growls at the hill of sand next to us. Over the hill a creature emerges. It's humanoid and over 10 feet tall with a single large eye and a wooden club drags on the door as it walks.
Upon seeing us it roars in anger and lifts its club, holding the end in its other hand. I command the tiger with my thoughts and it pounces at the cyclops. The creature swings its bat but the tiger is too fast and dodges the club. The tiger reaches the base of the beast pretty quickly and starts swiping its claws at its legs. The monster yells in pain but still swings its club, smacking the tiger and launching it back a dozen meters into the sand.
The tiger struggles to stand as I hear Roland yell beside me.
"Cancel the summon and get another!"
Following his command I apologize in my mind and watch the tiger disappear into motes of blue light.
'Summoned Creature: Rabbit'
The cyclops stomps over to me and raises its club in the air about to strike. Before it can crush me though a sword the size of a car falls from above the creature, impaling it and killing it instantly.
Turning to Roland I can see him smirk at me.
"Don't worry if your ability puts you in harm's way then I will protect you. Now unsummon that pathetic rabbit and try again."
The poor rabbit has the cutest eyes in the world and I'm sad to see it go.
'Summoned Creature: Unicorn'
Huh well that's pretty cool. Doesn't seem useful in a fight but it must be rare, I've never heard of anyone seeing a unicorn. I might be the first… Roland has a perplexed expression but Mera is in glee.
"A real life unicorn! Oh my god i dreamed of having a pet unicorn as a kid. Can I touch it?
"No. Resummon"
Roland shut her down instantly as another cyclops began to appear.
I feel bad but I'm not here for fun.
'Summoned Creature: Basilisk'
The creature bursts out of the cloud of light with shocking speed. Its body is over 7 feet tall but its length must be dozens of meters as it seems to never end as it shoots out of the cloud of light that it was summoned in.
Before the cyclops even gets over the hill of sand its entire body is wrapped up in the body of the basilisk. Within a few moments its body goes limp.
'Experience has reached the required level. Level 12 acquired.'
What a dangerous beast. Roland was taken aback for a moment but quickly composed himself.
"Send the big snake as far as you can, have it kill any cyclops it finds on the way."
A moment later the basilisk begins to slither away through the sand, leaving a trail as it goes.
"While we test the limit on how far your control goes let me go over a few things. Every time you summon a creature it costs the same, rabbit or basilisk, it costs the same mana."
I nod along. I already thought this was the case as my other skills act the same so I shared that with Roland and Mera who seems to have set up a kind of picnic blanket and is enjoying a cold beverage.

"And you get 20 points per level which is the most I've ever seen. Only rare classes get more than 10 with the best classes getting almost 20. To be getting 20 points per level means your class is of the highest rank."
I knew the amount of points differed from person to person based on how rare their class is but I didn't realize that 20 was the best.
'Experience has reached the required level. Level 13 acquired.'
It seems my basilisk is running into some cyclops.
After another minute or so I can feel the connection to the Basilisk reach its limit.
"I think my basilisk is at the limit of its range now."
Hearing this Mera gets to her feet and looks in the direction of my basilisk. Her eyes gloss over as she activates some kind of skill.
"250 meters."
"Interesting. It doesn't seem to cost any mana to keep the summon active either."
After unsummoning the beast at Roland's command, I followed Mera away from her picnic spot.
"Buff me."
I do as she says.
'Buff activated: +10 All stats'
"Do it again"
Not even 2 seconds passed after I placed the buff of Mera before she requested another one.
'Buff activated: Regenerate 50 Mana per minute'
"Again"
This went on for 10 minutes. I must have buffed her over 50 times.
"Do it again."
'Lucky effect triggered. You will receive the desired effect.'
'Buff activated: +250 Strength'
'Title Unlocked: Strength Saint'
'Using a buff, Increase the targets strength by 250 or more'
'Reward: +50 Strength permanently'
Another title? I look at Mera who had access to see my status window and she smirks at me.
"That took a bit longer than expected but I hope you see what I'm trying to do here. Now we need to continue until we get the title for each stat."
That's 5 titles… Holy shit. But I'm already seeing a big dent in my mana pool.
"But I think I'm going to run out of mana before I get the next one."
Roland places a hand on my shoulder to get my attention from behind. He holds his other hand out, a single ring on his finger emits a glow before a blue potion appears in his palm.
"Drink this, it will help you regenerate your mana instantly."
"A mana potion?! Those cost like 100,000 credits each, I couldn't possibly take such a precious gift after you've given me so much already."
Roland smiles before his ring glows again. A large crate, about half a meter in each direction pops out and slams onto the floor. Like a mountain, Vials of mana potions fill the crate.
My jaw is starting to hurt from all the things that are happening when I'm with these 2.
******
It took about 2 hours to get the other 4 titles but it was definitely worth it. Each gave me a +50 stat boost in their respective stats.
"Okay that should be all the titles you can get from buffing right now. There might be more but I haven't discovered them yet so if you find any make sure you let me know!"
Giving my thanks is all I can do right now but I made a mental note to repay her kindness in the future once I become stronger.
"Now you're back with me."
Roland had a grin from ear to ear, clearly sitting and watching the buff training wasn't very fun for him.
We spent some time firing random spells. Fireballs, earthen spikes and lightning bolts shot into the distance. Occasionally a cyclops would find its way to our training spot and I would lay into it with spells until it died.
Roland had me fire spells as quickly as I could, tested how far they could go which seemed to vary from spell to spell but the shortest range we got was 50 meters. The longest seemed to go until it hit a wall of the gate which had to be over 3km away.
I gained another title from our testing which seemed to be a surprise to Roland to so he quickly imitated what i did to get the title for himself, as did Mera.
'Title Unlocked: Quick Thinker'
'Cast over 100 spells within 1 minute'
'Reward: Mana cost for all abilities reduced by 50%'
"Perfect, now let's get onto the real fun."
Rolands ring shines again as a book poofs into his hands.
Time to learn some more skills i guess
