[Why?]
Take a look at that gold doesn’t he look familiar?
[Now that you mention it sort of does, I wonder who it is]
If you understand then can you go and get it already
[Which one was it again?] Orthus asked me while looking at the contents of my bag
If I remember it correctly it should be the one with a globe of the earth as the cover
[So this one] he says while picking up the correct book from my bag with his right mouth and then proceeds to drop it in front of me
I take another look at gold coin to see if there are other clues to help me identify the person on the carving
And directly under the carving is a small scripture written in a language that I can’t seem to read but at the same time I somehow understand the meaning and it says
“to our first and greatest khan,” I mumble to myself while trying to think
[The only khan related thing I know is Genghis Khan, but the chances of him actually being the one in that carving is pretty low]
Unless!, can you flip the book for me?
[Well that ruined the moment. What page?]
The table of contents
He then proceeds to flip the pages of the book until he reached the table of contents
[Is this it?]
Yeah that’s the one
Oh yeah be on guard for anyone that may come by
[Gotcha]
I scan the table of contents for anything that might be Genghis Khan related, and then I see it “the Mongol Empire” page 164
Turn it to page 164
[Let’s see its this one]he says while turning it to page 164
And the first thing I see is a picture of a man and written directly beneath it is “Genghis khan age 34” and right beside it, is another picture and written beneath it is “Genghis khan age 54”
A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.
[You done yet? Cause the wagon seems to be slowing down]
Not yet gimme a minute
I quickly skim the page for anything that might say anything about his death
[Hurry up! I can’t hear any horses or footsteps around us anymore]
Start putting the coins in my bag
[How the fuck am I suppose to that?!, I don’t have any fucking hands you retard]
I don’t know use your mouth or something we’re running out of time
[I’m gonna pay you back later ya fucking cunt]he says while picking the coins up with his mouth
And then I see it “Genghis Khan Mysteriously disappeared with a handful of soldiers at the age of 65 while fighting on the battlefield”
If He died at 65 years old then why does he look his 34-year-old self in the coin?
[Answer that later! are you done reading that book?] he asked while dropping the last of coins into my bag
Yeah
He then proceeds to swipe it from in front of me and shoves it back into my bag
I then roll towards the right side of the wagon
Put the bag behind me
[I know I know!]he then puts it behind me in such a way that you wouldn’t notice it unless you directly looked at it
Now then get out of here, I then click my tongue with the intention of making him disappear
[Seriously not even a thank you? I did most of the work]
“Yo Gillet! We’ve arrived, please tell me you didn’t do anything to the prisoner?” a goblin shouts while entering the wagon which was big enough that it could be called a room with wheels the only thing it was lacking was a roof
[Fuck!]
Why?
[I forgot to wake the goblin up]
Well That’s easy enough to fix
“Over here! Help!” I shouted trying to sound somewhat distressed
“What’s wrong?” the goblin that just entered the wagon asked while approaching me and the knocked out goblin called Gillet beside me
He then seems to notice his friend Gillet knocked out with face planted on the wooden planks as he asks “what happened to him?”
“I don't know he suddenly just fainted while crying something about his brother, is he going to be ok?” I reply trying to sound genuinely concerned
He then eyes me suspiciously while answering back “he'll probably be ok after he rests for a while but just in case, Uzz!” suddenly what appears to be a goblin foot soldier shows up at the entrance of the wagon
“Yes lieutenant?” the goblin foot soldier called Uzz asks back
“go and take Gillet to the closest clinic and have him rest there until he wakes up and we he does call me” the lieutenant orders Uzz
Uzz then proceeds to call another goblin and together they carry the muscular and larger than average Gillet away
The lieutenant then faces me claps his hands and says “I just remembered that I still haven’t introduced myself I am Veerx and as you may have previously heard I’m a lieutenant and, I’ll be the in charge of you due to some unforeseen events which may or may not be due to your actions” he says jokingly but with eyes still full of suspicion
Suddenly I hear the sounds of mourning and rain outside the wagon
“looks like to time for your big debut,” Veerx says half-jokingly and half interested at what’s going to happen to me
“Debut as what?” I ask back curiously
“What else of course but a mass murdering psychopath capable of slaying a mythical beast and wiping out an entire legion all on his own” Veerx answers back while looking for the long end of my rope bind
Suddenly I hear wailing filled with despair and anger “Bring it out! Bring it out! Bring it out! Bring it out!”
[They’re not even referring to us as human]
Veerx then finds the long end and proceeds to pull me outside whilst saying “I wouldn’t expect any less of a crowd from the death of the third Khanzadeh”
[The third what?]
