After taking some aspirin for the headache so I could thank straight the reality of the situation hit me. Most likely I wasn’t in my home universe after all pretty much every story I've ever read has the main character for some reason thrown out of there universe and they are not able to find it again.

So while I was hoping that I hadn’t ended up in some fuck off universe like highschool dxd were beings that can destroy continents are only slightly uncommon I also hope I didn’t end up on some contemporary earth were the only difference between my world and this one is how much mildew was on the grass that morning.

After all while I love my family and life I also don’t want them seeing me going full Emperor and conquering earth. Not just because my mother would yell my ear for such a thing.

Anyways I got to say while the hot burning pain of having it installed was something I would not recommend and hell I still would take having no powers in the arcane over never having felt that pain. I got to say suddenly being able to perform real magic is pretty dope.

Not just because one of the first and most simple things to do by Ulmish magic is telekinesis, but also because the sheer amount of power I can feel flooding through me. Oh sure I know I wouldn’t be able to go up agaisn’t someone of the weakest power by their standards, but considering that a Master mage by their standards could fist fight cthulhu or at least his lesser cousin well lets just say I'm not too put off.

One of the first things I did after playing around with my new magic is start creating an Ulmish rifle. You see unlike the rifles of modern day these things don’t use gunpowder of anything of the sort.

No these things use a magi-tech railgun system that uses a special brand of bullet. The gun itself can send a bullet flying at about six and a half times the speed of sound with almost no recoil. Now you may be wondering how they don’t blow their ears out with each shot. It's Actually quite simple, they just add variable silencing charms along the rifle barrel and bam almost no noise.

Of course if that was all then they wouldn’t be nearly as strong as they were, see the speed of the bullet is only half the battle. The other half is the bullet itself, the Ammunition of the standard Ulmish battle rifle is the size of the average 5.56 nato round but it comes in a black steel casing with multiple enchantments to increase penetration as well as durability.

Now you may also be wondering what black steel is, well that's simple. Through a process of mundane and magical engineering they create a steel of black coloring that is about a quarter lighter than average steel while being about two-hundred and fifty times tougher. Of course I don't have nearly enough materials to make it at the moment thus I'm using simpler Ulmish sourced steel.

Which is about the same weight while being about thirty times tougher. Of course with the amount of extra enchantments I'm putting on it than normal I should be able to get it up to thirty-six times tougher, but that's neither here nor there.

The first step in the process of making just the gun was getting the right materials so for the next three hours I set up a ritual and poured magic and loose materials I wouldn’t need into the circle, and as the third hour came and the ritual energies calmed down I had the materials I needed.

Not only the steel and the like but also the circuitry and processor chips that I needed in making the rifle. Thankfully after a little bit of mental math I figured I would have enough steel to make around Five-hundred bullets.

Anyways four the next hour and a half I worked with magic and the few tools I had around the house to create the weapon, and it was beautiful. While a little crude by Ulmish standards it would serve my purposes well after all it wasn’t for me, and if you thought it was shame on you. If you think I'm going around with a gun I don’t know how to use correctly then your dead wrong.

Oh sure I technically know how to use it but technical info and actual training and experience are two VERY different things. Hence why I was grabbing up some clothes from around my apartment so when I finished my hopefully first in a long line of summoning's that I could have something for him to wear ready. Wish me luck.
