"Have you read this, 'Mana Qark' by Alfred Trona. He talked about his theory regarding magic circuits and how can it affects one's magic" Clar asked Rey as they were having fun in her room. "Well I have only read the basics of magic and the levels," Rey said. "Is that so? Then tell me the levels of mana core" Clar asked. "Well, mana core is divided on the bases of color and has a total of five stages. Red, Yellow, Orange, Green, Blue and are further divided into their Dark and Light shades. The lowest is Red, while Blue is the highest. Only the Great Priest of Mithos and Current Duke Sole are the ones on the Dark Blue stage" Rey said. "Yeah, you are right," Clark said. "Clar, take Rey and show him around the town. Both of you will be bored if you are always stuck in books" Ellen said. "Okay, mom then we are going out" Clar said and took Rey with her to the entrance. "Don't run in the hall and take care of yourself both of you" Ellen said.
"Mom should have let us read books in my room. It was so much fun" Clar said with an annoying face while facing outside of the window. "I think she is kind of introvert. Thanks to my aunt, I came out of that horrible situation otherwise I would have been reading books till it was time for dinner. What a sight, It's just like a grand festival that is held in the capital every 3 years" Rey thought to himself. "What is that, that tent at the center of the square?" Rey asked Clar. "Oh that, it's the magic circus. It's stunning. Do you want to see it with me?" Clar asked with excitement. "Absolutely I will" Rey Replied. "But we can't watch it on the day of 'Night of Crux' because we will be attending the banquet at my mansion" Clar said. Rey felt down after listening to Clar. "Don't worry though, we will watch it the next day" Clar said. "Okay" Rey said with excitement. "Should we explore the town?" Clark asked. "Yes, let's go!" Rey replied and both of them wandered around the town exploring the shops and meeting new people.
" Is it really mandatory to start dressing this early, even if there are 3 hours to the start of the banquet?" Rey asked Diona with an irritating face. "But as Duke's family is the one hosting the banquet and we are the guests of them, then we have to appear at the banquet with them" Diona replied. "Okay, but what is this flashy outfit? Can't I wear any decent one?" Rey asked. "This is the outfit which you wear at the tea party of Marchioness Trona" Diona replied. "Hahaha.... Please Don't remind me of those embarrassing days" Rey said with a face as if his soul was leaving his body. "Rey, are you ready" Jeannette asked as she opened the door. "Oh my, is it the same outfit which you wore at the tea party of Marchioness Trona" Jeannette said. "Mom please!" Rey said with an embarrassing face. "Wait for a bit, I will change into something decent" Rey said and changed into a black formal tuxedo. "How is it?" Rey asked. "It looks great on you Rey" Jeannette said and hugged Rey. "Yes, it looks great on you, Young Master" Diona said. "Then let's go to the banquet" Rey said as he stepped outside his room.
"I, Claude Seren, and the Seren family welcome you all at the banquet. Please enjoy yourself" Duke Seren greeted everyone and the banquet started. "Such a grand banquet. It seems like the whole dukedom is present in the mansion" Rey thought to himself. "Rey, let's go and eat something" Clar said and pulled Rey and took him to the corner table. "Now we can eat with peace" Clar said. "Yes" Rey said. "True enough that we could not have enjoyed the banquet if we stayed with our family" Rey thought to himself. "Hello Lady Clarissa Seren" A boy came in front of Clarissa. "I am Andrea Wasser. It's a pleasure to be your acquaintance" Andrea greeted Clarissa. Clarissa was shocked to see someone greeting her so she hid behind Rey and said "I-I am Clarissa Seren. Nice to meet you" Clar said. "Ah... Now she is feeling awkward. What a silly girl" Rey thought to himself. "Hello, I am Andrea Wasser. Can I know your name please?" Andrea said. "Oh. Nice to meet you, Sir Andrea Wasser. I am Reynard Spada" Rey greeted him. "Oh, So you are the grandson of Sir William Spada, the hero of the Empire" Andrea said with a grin on his face. "Let's have a spare match. I want to see if the swordsmanship of Spada's really lives up to its name or the rumors are just rumors" Andrea said sarcastically. "It would have been alright if he talked bad about my swordsmanship but he brought our family's swordsmanship in our conversation. I won't end it with just a little spare match" Rey thought to himself with rage towards Andrea. "Okay, then let's go to the training ground but before that, I will inform my family regarding this match" Rey said. "then let's meet at the training ground after twenty minutes" Andrea said and both of them walked towards their family.

" Nice to meet you, Viscount Spada" Marquis Richard Wasser greeted Henry. "Same here, Marquis Wasser. So both of our children are going to have a spare match right now. I can't see why they want a match at night and when Duke is holding a banquet" Henry said. "Sorry Viscount Spada, my child is a bit eccentric and proud so on a whim, he challenged your son" Richard said. "Take it easy Richard, we are friends so you don't have to use horrifics" Henry said. "Okay then, Andrea is so proud of himself that he doesn't even listen to me or my wife. I hope your son can destroy his pride so that he could listen to what others have to say" Richard said. "Don't worry, Rey won't lose to your son. Let's go and see what happens" Henry said and they both walked towards the training ground.
"So Reynard Spada, are you ready?" Andrea asked. "Always" Rey replied. "Then let's start" Andrea said and Rey instantly approached him to land a strike. First Andrea panicked but he held his ground and defended the attack. "How can he be so fast!? I didn't saw him coming. I didn't even thought that I would use magic this early" Andrea thought to himself and casted a spell. "Water Shield" Andrea said and a shield of water came in front of him Rey couldn't penetrate the shield so he backed off. "I knew, this is the property of 'Water Shield' it's almost impossible to penetrate" Andrea thought to himself as he felt satisfied. In a split second Rey came in front of him and swung his sword. " What is he trying to achieve, can't he see that 'Water Shield' is still acti-" his shield and sword broke into two as he was trying to figure out what was happening. As Rey slashed his shield Andrea fell to the ground and he was confused. "Now you know our family's swordsmanship lives up to its name. Do you surrender?" Rey asked Andrea. "I can't win. He is on a different scale. He-He is a monster!" Andrea thought to himself as he was terrified by the aura of Rey. "I-I-I Surrender" Andrea said. "Okay, stand up" Rey said as he extended his hand to help him. Andrea got up and said "I am sorry, I was wrong to provoke you by saying bad about your family's swordsmanship". "Okay, it's good that you realised your mistake" Rey said and walked towards his father. "As I said, Rey won't lose to your son" Henry said. "Yes, and for the first time Andrea realised his mistake and asked for forgiveness. It was truly a fruitful match." Richard said.
"Great job Rey, you did will. I can see improvement in your swordsmanship." Henry said. "Thanks Father" Rey said with a smile. As both of them were walking out of the training ground Andrea shouted from a far "I did lose today but I will the win next match, just wait for me Reynard". "Okay" Rey Replied and walked towards the banquet. "What happened Rey, did you get hurt anywhere?" Clark asked with a worried face. "I am absolutely fine and I won with an astronomical advantage" Rey said. "I can't believe, on first meeting he wanted a spare match! If I ever saw him again I will hit him with a thick stick" Clar said. " Well it was a good spare match and I think that he can improve. Next time when we meet, I would like to have a spare match again" Rey thought to himself and enjoyed the banquet.
