Extra Chapter 2

A day after we visited Maya’s parents, the three of us were in the fields. Emori received detailed lessons from my dad on how to plant paddies.

Looking at the princess herself getting down and dirty was an interesting sight. She herself went up to her parents to ask for a leave right before the vacation started. Her parents, rarely hearing such requests, immediately granted her wishes. They contacted the baron to ask for help.

Emori herself said that she didn’t need guards, and considering my level and skills, I was more than enough. Still surprised me how willing they were to send their daughter off, though.

“That's it for today. Thank you very much!” Dad said with a wide grin. Emori cleaned herself with some water and we made our way back home.

“How do you like the country life, princess?” Maya asked on our walk home.

“It's… different from the capital.”

The calm winds, quiet streets, and beautiful scenery. Emori seemed to be enjoying her time out here. I was glad she could enjoy her time out here. I just hope she didn’t get too attached and refused to return. That would mean quite some trouble.

Maya stopped all of a sudden. “Hold on.”

I and Emori waited for her. Once she finished, she returned to us. “Solicea invited us to visit her domain.”

Solicea’s family managed a land to the southeast, far away from the capital, on the country’s eastern border.

“Is something up?” I asked. The only one maintaining communication with Solicea throughout the vacation was Maya. Neither I nor Emori had contacted her.

“She was asking if we wanted to visit, maybe have a bit of fun. I think she lives near the beach.”

Is it… is it finally time for the beach episode?

I shook my head, shooing the thoughts off my head.

“I’m going. How about you two?”

“Are we invited?”

Maya nodded. “Of course.”

“Alright, I’m going. You’re coming with us, Emori?”

“Sure. That sounds fun.”

We headed home and began prepping our bags.

The flight east took about eight hours, a bit longer than the journey to the capital. Flying on dragons was faster compared to riding on a carriage, and I could only imagine how painfully long the journey would have taken had we not had Maya with us.

We departed from our village in the afternoon, taking a night rest at a village around the halfway point. After that, we continued on east, toward Solicea’s home.

The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

“It’s so beautiful…” We approached the lovely city. The city of Lasiona was located in the Misyonoer province. It acted as the capital of the province, where Solicea’s family governed. We landed not far from the city, hiding in the nearby forest as Maya got changed into her human form.

Once she finished, we made our way into the city. The city wasn’t as big as the capital, but its size was incomparable to the small village we lived in. Many people wearing lighter clothes made their way through the streets, the weather a bit hotter compared to back in the capital.

“We need some summer clothes,” Emori commented.

“I prefer no clothes.”

“Maya, shut up.”

She still had her horns, so people knew that she was a dragon, but I would prefer her to not spout nonsense in the middle of the city. Even if it was dragon logic, people would still see us as weirdos.

“Can you Connect with Solicea?”

Maya nodded, a symbol appearing in her right eye. Unlike phone calls, the spell Connect connected you directly into the person’s mind, so you didn’t need to speak when using it. Maya nodded a couple of times, then the symbol disappeared.

“She asked us to wait in that cafe.” Maya pointed toward a nearby building. We headed there and bought ourselves some snacks as we waited.

“Are these… coconuts?” Emori examined the food in front of her. The coconuts in front of us have been cut open, with a straw and a little beach umbrella on the openings. I took a sip out of its water.

“It's delicious.”

“I think they have a lot of coconut farms around this region. Solicea mentioned it before,” Maya said. One thing I found interesting was the fact that this cafe, in particular, survived all the years. From what I heard, the restaurant business is tough. The interior had changed a bit, but for the most part, the cafe remained just like it was in the game.

Well, the price didn't, I guess. It was cheaper in the game. Guess even a fantasy world had inflation.

Not long after, a familiar blue-haired girl entered the cafe, a wide grin on her face.

“Hello everyone, it's been a while.” She waved and approached us.

“Lady Misyonoer, welcome. Would you like to have a drink?” one of the staff offered.

“Sorry, but not today. I'm here to pick them up.” She pointed toward us.

“Let me finish this.”

The three of us finished our coconuts, paid for it, then headed out. We walked underneath the warm sun toward Solicea’s home, a mansion located at the east end of the city, near the beach.

“It's huge.” I exclaimed once l saw the building.

“Didn't you visit the Royal Castle before?” Solicea asked. I did, but they're the royal family, the most important family in this country. Solicea's family weren't as powerful as other noble families, but she certainly held her own.

Although, to be fair, from my eyes as a commoner, everyone is powerful.

A number of maids and servants assisted us as we settled into our rooms. Solicea lent me a room with a nice view out to the sea. It was the first time in this life that I saw an ocean. I headed out to the balcony, leaning on the railing and enjoying the view. Who would have expected that me playing games for most of my life would lead to this moment.

Thank Goodness I could be here.

I couldn’t help but smile a little. Luckily, there was no one else in the garden beneath me. It would be embarrassing if someone saw me smiling like this from up close.

A sudden knock came from the door. I walked back back from the balcony to open it.

“Hello,” Solicea greeted from behind the door. “How are you settling in? Anything you need?”

“I’m fine. Thank you for inviting us.”

“Good to know. Just tell me if you need anything,” Solicea said before disappearing down the hallway. I assumed she went to check on the others, so I closed the door and lay on the bed, wanting to get some rest.
