The story opens with heavy rain, casting a gloomy atmosphere over a small cemetery. Dark clouds loom, symbolic of a life cut short too soon. The scene centers on a young boy, Kai, with a charm strapped onto his neck being cradled by his father as they stand at his mother’s burial. Surrounding them are people Kai has never seen before, their faces stern and cold. His father whispers to him, "Don't cry, son. They can't see us weak. The ones responsible are here."
He remembers the moment, Kai learnt from his father that his mother’s death wasn't an accident—it was a heinous act orchestrated by a mysterious cult, “but how" he asked, according to his father ‘Daichi’ they are experts in dark magic, who use their evil arts to cast a shadow, on those who they despise, those who are successful or happy. According to him this was more than enough to justify her demise.
He proceeds to hold the charm into his hand, remembering that moment, she saved him from the darkness that took hold of him. Saving his life in the process. Right now he feels as if he has failed her . By not repaying the favor to his own mother. Yuuto clenches his fists but holds back his tears as his father instructed. People around him take notice of his cold, emotionless demeanor, unaware that he's holding back his tears at his father’s command including a sinister group lurking in the shadows at a distance, with a grin.

He looked up at his father, standing rigid and cold beside him. There was no sign of grief on his father's face, only a stern expression that seemed carved from stone. Kar's father had always been distant, a man of few words and even fewer emotions. Today was no different. His father hadn't spoken much since the funeral arrangements had been made, and now standing before the grave of his wife, he remained silent.
The priests words are a blur in Kat's ears, drowned out by the rushing wind and the weight of his thoughts. He doesn’t understand the full gravity yet, but he suddenly looks back, as if driven by his own instincts, at two suspicious figures among the mourners,a quiet rage begins to stir within him, as he realizes who they are. His father’s hand landed on his shoulder—firm but not comforting.
“Kai,” his father's voice was stern but low. “It’s time to go. We can't stay here.” Kai nodded but didn’t move. His eyes flickered to the shadows at the edge of the cemetery In the distance, cloaked figures watched, in their faces obscured. There was something ominous about them. Looking closer he noticed that the mysterious beings emit deadly aura. He couldn't believe that even in the real world, not in a parallel world, they still emit a deadly aura. Yuuto didn't fully understand who they were. "Who are they... and why are they doing this?
