Chapter - 1

After five years of hard enough study to damage his already damaged mental health, he though words would become something he would hate it. His nature however discarded his yearnings, for he was and forever would be, a bookworm.

Now he was part of the most recent group of graduates in the prestigious Taiso Federal University. Skeptical at first, he, an orphan from the shittiest birth possible, now stood alongside the most promising minds in the nation. The young man was now able to teach in virtually any educational institution of the nation.

He had to put up with incompetent bourgeois and sons of arrogant bureaucrats. Who would have imagined that now he would teach for those he hated. Fortunately, he now held a hood that could deceive and please even a minister.

Looking into the bathroom mirror, his handsome face was marked by a decisive expression. It wasn't as pretty as it was mesmerizing. Thick and strong eyebrows along with not so deep eyes. Most woman would say that prominent jaw and well-defined cheeks were Ariel's unique features. They would also agree that along with his shoulder height hair, he had a rebellious and undisciplined appearance, not the it made him less attractive, quite the contrary.

Nodding to himself, he came to a conclusion. He knew that from now on, he couldn't reveal the bitterness that had accompanied him for a long time. His enemies would make use of it and he wasn't willing to take risks. He would show the typical enthusiasm of the beginning of a career.

Because innocent blood had been shed, and he wondered every day why he wasn't among them.

Tying his hair, he gave a long sigh before getting ready.

A simple white shirt under a brown vest with a simple necktie. His pants were part of the mandatory dress code of the school that he would teach.

It would probably be his most frequent visual, as he didn't have the habit of changing his wardrobe.

"Did I forgot something?" he looked around his small apartment as he rubbed his hair.

Lucky to him, his clean-looking leather bag, was always in sight on the couch.

Giving a wry smile before closing the door, he said looking up: "Wish me luck ... maybe I'll need it."

The school was just a few kilometers from his home, so the young teacher decided to go on foot.

It would be more appropriate to say that instead of a simple school, it was a private educational and heavily research focused institute going from high school to college. And so, as this was his first year teaching, he didn't even tried applying for the college professor position instead setting for the high school teacher job.

Except students with scholarship(which currently amounts to an almost negligibe number), all the other students come from very wealthy families whose fathers spend fortunes for the sake of their daughters and sons having the best possible structure and atmosphere in a school.

Walking at a slightly accelerated pace, the teacher took about 40 minutes to reach the institute.

The entrance was composed of an imposing 10 meters gate. A tangle of concrete in classical architectural patterns gave (or erased) life to the place with the greatest concentration of wealthy people per square meter.

On each side one guardhouse was indwelt by security guards in an outfit that would hardly be recognized as an uniform.

Looking at his watch, the young man realized that he had been late on his first day of work. Not that it was his fault, he was new to town and had no notion of distance from the place where he had moved.

He quickly took his ID card and presented it to the doorman.

Taking a second look toward the teacher, the porter made a positive wave with his hands.

With an apologetic smile, he rushed trying to find the director room.

His appearance certainly attracted some stares, perhaps his clothes or the way he tidied his hair, all very unusual for a student.

One blonde looking girl in school uniform secretly took a long glance at him, and disappeared from his view with an enigmatic smile.

Almost mistaking her for someone else, Ariel was puzzled for a moment and thought the tension was making him see things.

Walking through the corridors he wondered how many times he would get lost in the immensity and labirinth aspect of the place until he got used to it. Why can't rich people construct linear and direct buildings? He wondered.

"Is he a new student? I've never seen him here, he dresses like my father!"Some female students began to act as if he was an attraction in a circus, some laughing at him, some flirting for fun, but the young teacher countenace did not change one bit, continuing the same until he found the directors room.

With a knock on the door, he stepped forward.

"Excuse me."

"Please come in." A gentle voice of an elderly lady received him. Short and curly hair, the lady held a clean aspect, as should be someone on her occupation.

Closing the door, the young man introduced himself.

"I am the new teacher of both international security and regional integration disciplines. Nice to meet you."

The old woman who appeared to be in her seventies years rose from her chair and shook the outstretched hand of the young teacher.

"Oh, nice to meet you too, you know... I heard a lot about you, Ariel Faelin."

"The most promising teacher of the year." She said laughing.

With an insincere embarassed smile, he said: "Please, rumors are just rumors."

"They would be rumours had they come from some drunk beggar that couldn't even stand on his feet. But coming from the people that told me, they are anything but a rumour." She said with a smile.

Giving up the false humility, he confirmed, "Most promising I do not know, since promises are often broken. I am however, able to devote myself fully to my work."

After a short conversation about his new schedule and instructions on where he would start his classes, he leaved.

...

When he entered the classroom, and utter silence filled the air, followed by whispers, questions and giggles.

Before saying something, the teacher went to the blackboard, and wrote something.

"INTERNACIONAL SECURITY AND REGIONAL INTEGRATION DISCIPLINES -  ARIEL FAELIN."

"He is a t-teacher..."

"Shit! Do you think he saw us laughing at him?"

"I saw him earlier, but I never thought he would be the new teacher."

"But he is so young!"

Waiting the students calm down, He formally introduced himself.

"My name is Ariel, I am your new teacher in the school subjects already mentioned on the blackboard.

Since the two disciplines are elective and therefore chosen through the free will of those present, I expect full cooperation and effort from yourselves for the comprehension of the themes that will be developed during the semester. I will not tolerate shenanigans and distractions while my voice is echoing on the walls of this room, understood? I hope to have a great year with all of you. "

Already expecting to be labeled as a boring and outdated teacher, Ariel sighs inwardly.

Without even finishing his sentence he thought to himself.

I hope this year goes as planned.

But unfortunately, his hopes were in vain.
