Things which are known as parallel universes, being summoned into different worlds and when stretching, even worlds which are like games, are thoughts which are constantly travelling around inside peoples heads. Yes, these are those things which are considered fantasies, and those trying to escape their own reality are living them out. They have presumptions of what these worlds would be like. However, even with this preconceived notions, what it remains as, is a fantasy. When thrust into such a situation they would not be prepared for it. Remember, these things are just fantasy.
With that line of thought in mind, I'm aware that I am in 'reality' and not 'fantasy'. Such an event having happened to me, would be crazy to think of as it is possible. If it turns out that its true, I'd be ecstatic though. As my reality consists of living on the run, I might finally give up on such a life. Being a teenager on the run would probably have some people questioning my sanity. After all, there's support from the government, family and all that jazz. Don't talk to me about that. If I was able to, don't you think I would?
It may seem like my past was disheartening, but it wasn't really all so bad. I had issues with an abusive father, and a distant mother. Originally, the situation wasn't horrid, but it wasn't what people would call a 'healthy family relationship'. During the early years, both my father and mother were just negligent. They didn't consider my well-being at all, only that I was a hindrance to their lives. They did hire a babysitter for a while, but then when I was old enough to do things by myself, they said it was too expensive and stopped. The ignoring wasn't so bad, although they wouldn't let me go on school excursions.
It was around 2 years ago, when I was 15, that my father started taking out his anger on me. I was just entering into the house when he slammed a fist into my stomach. It hurt like hell. I tried to fight back with a punch, but I did not succeed. I noticed my mother just reading a book, even though their was obviously something going on. Then my father clasped his hands around my throat, and choked me until I fainted. The next day, I woke up on the floor, and my parents were pretending like nothing had even happened.
For the next year and a half I tried to train myself in order to take the hits. More specifically, so I wouldn’t feel a lot of pain and just pretend like my father hurt me. There were a few nights when he didn’t do anything, but mostly, I spent my time getting my arse beat. What was weird though, was the fact that nobody ever commented. I thought perhaps that they didn’t notice. When I went to tell somebody they wouldn’t believe me, though I think that there was something more to it than that. That endeavour got me an extremely bad thrashing from my father.
That’s what caused me to run away, and I never stopped running. Six more months passed since then and I’ve awoken in a strange place.
I am now going to comment over the ridiculous things that I think of.
Firstly.
To the bottom right of my eye, what is visible is a status screen. It’s not like it affects my vision, but what the hell is it doing there?

WHAT THE HELL IS WITH THAT STAMINA? I mean - well yeah, I have more stamina than the average person but that’s just an extremely level of exaggeration. In a word, it’s ridiculous.
Coming third in my retorts, is the fact that instead of being in some sort of house, or motel, such as where I went to sleep, I’ve opened my eyes, I’m in a bloody forest! Why, of all places, was it a forest? This was like a fantasy coming true. Perhaps a summoning by a princess asking for the world to be saved. Is that just too much to ask? Being welcomed by a princess in a large castle? No? Thanks for ruining my expectations of going to a different world. Now, GIVE ME BACK MY DREAMS!
Ahhh… That made me feel much better. Looking backwards, I was quick to assume this was a different world, wasn’t I? Might it have been more reasonable to assume that I’d been sleepwalking, or even kidnapped and abandoned in a forest? Well, maybe not, but still.

That could quite possibly be it. There is a strange creature staring at me. while I’ve been retorting to everything which is irritating me. It wouldn’t be wrong to say it looked like a rabbit, but the fact it had a beak causes me to say without a doubt, it’s not an animal I’ve seen before. Back on Earth, I don’t think there is such a creature in existence - although, it might sell, as it’s kind of cute.

It ran away? That makes me sad, but I guess the creature did help me determine this was definitely not a normal place. Thus, I’m going to assume that this is a completely different world until someone tells me otherwise. Maybe I can have some fun now! Why do I feel like I’m pitiable rather than just free from constraints of society?
There’s surely more to this status thing, right? The sight of it in my field of view is quite peculiar, but it feels like I can find out more… Maybe there’s a stat for attack and defense?! Let’s just imagine them appearing and see what happens.

Uhhh…. Habitat? What the hell sort of skill is that? It sounds either completely useless, or extremely bad for me. I wonder if the reason I was summoned here was to be a laughing stock… Was I even summoned here? I was hoping I was summoned so I’d be a hero! If not’s not like that, then my dreams are ruined again…

Calm down. Let’s just think calmy. About things that are important right now - specifically - the skills. First of all is Language Comprehension. It’s obvious there must be people in this world. It would be extremely unlikely for them to speak English. This means the skill will prove invaluable.

The messages appear in my field of view… Although they could be considered irritating, they don’t take up a lot of space and they only stay for a few seconds. It’s probably possible to hide the level and HP/MP stats as well, but I don’t wish to do that. It’s easier for my like this.
I don’t understand why I would need ‘Language Translation’ when I have ‘Language Comprehension’, but there’s probably a difference between the two. For now though, it does not seem necessary.

I don’t get it anymore. I’ve managed to feel both incredibly weak, and quite important, both within a short time of getting here. The skills are about Heros. I suppose it won’t help until I know what they do, though.

Language Comprehension: Allows you to converse with those who speak other languages. More specifically, it will allow you to learn a language which you hear instantaneously.
Aww hell, that’s awesome! I’ve attempted to learn another language before. The amount of time it took made me give up.

Well that’s it for skills! I may as well check the last thing I wanted to know. It’s been nagging at me, but my status calls me a “Level 1 Strange”. I’m taking a guess, but it’s probably my current job. Which is weird, as it doesn’t really have anything to do with work… Maybe I get money for being unique?! Hopefully I can take on other jobs, which are more useful.
The thing that’s really bugging me though, is if there’s titles? It might be that I have a cool one! The reason I haven’t checked is I’m scared. What if it says something such as ‘Weak Person’. There are probably titles like that!
