It has never been so precious. I could hear the people cheering, this feeling of happiness was just for that time, this feeling… no…the cheers, they were becoming a part of me. It was in that moment, never had I felt so loved. I was the light for them, it was all calm, it was all…there!
I was ME! I was alive!
“Felix! Felix! Felix!”
The cheers of the crowd growled louder as I entered the field and answered the people cheering for me. It was all I could hear. Whatever it was, it was peaceful.
“How do you describe this love of the crowd, I mean, people support you! There must be something that you want to say to them?”
“Well, it’s not that I deserve the love, but what can I say, I’m all for them! They live in me!
“Is there anything special you want to say to them”
“Keep supporting me this way and I’ll always win big” I smiled and looked away!
It was a similar face, I knew something, someone watching me from the distance. The discomfort inside the rose and I couldn’t get out of it. I rushed away from there, trying to approach the cause. All I ended with was the image of myself.
The game was just a distraction! It was all I could think for, the adrenaline numbed my body and I could feel it all. As the hormones gushed my brain and I was not me anymore.
It’s all numbed! I floated in the midst of nothingness and a voice came.
“Hey, Felix! You going home?”
“Do me this favour! I haven’t seen her for some time and Professor Williams handed me these papers to send to Beth, but I have somewhere to be. Please give this to her on your way home! Bye!!” she handed me an envelope of papers and rushed away.

It was the uncertainty of the moment that rushed through my mind. It was at this moment, I knew, it was all going to come back. This darkness in me was rushing through it again, it was in there asleep for some time.
“Beth! Hey, Beth! It's Felix!” I knocked on the door that was always open for me! All I could hear was the smashing of dishes and hushed voices, like a struggling person, calling for help. The door opened. A man in his mid-thirties came out.
“What do you want!”
The darkness was somewhat familiar! It was the familiarity of the voice, that I knew was telling me to go inside! I knew not this man, but I knew something was to be done.
“Felix?” the loud knock on the door woke me up. My eyes searched through the emptiness of the room. Trying my best to remember the day earlier, as I crawled through the wet bathroom floor to get to the door. There was blood on my knuckles and my legs were numb. There was pain in my body.
The knock came again.
“Felix, Open the door,” it was Mr Lee calling out to me. I knew something was wrong. As I opened the door, he slandered me against the wall with a questioning face? My heart dropped as I realized; it wasn’t me that lived that day. But my worst nightmare was coming back to life.
“Who are you?” asked Mr Lee.
There was nothing that I could say. I don’t know who it was and what happened. All I knew, was this excruciating headache, and I broke. Tears filled my eyes and I begged him to put an end to it.
“What happened?” Asked Mr Lee.
I couldn’t answer his question. All I remembered was entering Beth’s house and the overcoming shadow, the darkness that lingered inside.
“It’s all a blank that I can’t fill!”
It was this terrible, dark feeling, that made me realize that I did something wrong. It was this emptiness that was making me question my every move. I may not have been myself ever since I came from Beth’s home.
“there’s this news of a possible robbery, but the girl testifies that the person who came in saved her from her husband and the violence he committed against her. The person is said to be beaten near death!”
A chill went down my spine. The certainty of the sin I thought I committed was now becoming my truth! I need to get out of here!
“You need to go back! The cops are sceptical of you! They always were. Besides, your mother wants you back. This is a good time to take over what was yours for good.”
This threatening feeling was taking over my body and everything was a blur. Everything was pointing only at a single thing: Lucas was back!
