A machine of remarkable size, has a shape almost identical to a donut. It has a number of complex looking wiring coming out of it. They all connected to various control terminals. But among them the one fat wire which catches anyones eyes is connected to a small box with a glass casing. Inside it there is a small stone which has a faint glow as of the radium in a watch. As the machine powers on the stone starts to glow brighter and brighter.

The machines initializing phase is done. Now we should enter the mana transferring phase. But before that we have to stabilize the matter transfer drive or “mt-Drive”. I really hope this is a success. I guess I have done all I could and so have these guys. I should be happy with whatever the results are. I tried my best is all that matters. But to think my hobby would make me into a scientist is really a funny story. Well I guess I should start stabilizing the mt-Driver.

Hiragi lets go on Yuna’s hand and moves to the main control panel while saying, “ Yuna, let me go to the control panel and work on the mt-drive. After I am done tell everyone to start the mana transfer and open the gate. “

Yuna’s face gets red and she lets goes of Hiragi’s hand. But almost instantly recovers her usual attitude. After hiragi goes to the gates or the machines main control panel which is right in front of the machine Yuna tells everyone, “ Everyone, after Hiragi-san has stabilized the mt-Drive, start the final phase along with the mana transfer. Remember to be cautious of any abnormality or unstable flow. In a case of any unstable mana flow we shall put a halt on the experiment. Even if the experiment fails. ”

The other scientist follow the instruction and do as they are told.

“ mt-Drive stabilization complete. Starting mana flow, no anomality detected. Flow is stable and constant. Starting gates final phase. opening the gate to another world. ”

The machine starts to glow creating an almost light like barrier. Flat and stable.

The room is filled with an awkward silence. Everyone has a slightly happy and serious look on their faces. To break the silence Hiragi say, “ Hey, guys I think the link has been established?! What are the monitors saying?”

“ No problem have been detected sir. The gate has a very stable link with 0.009 to 0.01 error margin. So we can move in to inter-dimensional transfer phase. ” , says one of the assistant scientists with a happy tone with slight excitement.

Alright I guess we can safely move on to the next phase. “ Please bring the atmosphere detector and test subject one. Codename- Mr. hamster. ” Now that I think about it I shouldn’t have named that hamster “Mr. Hamster” it’s super embarrassing. And I thinks these guys are also laughing at me.

“ The other dimension seems to have an atmosphere similar to earth. So we can procced with send first living organism code name- Mr. hamster. *slight giggle* ” says the assistant scientist.

Oh boy he just laughed a little didn’t he? Hmmm… I shouldn’t have named that thing. But think about it. Naming it “Specimen A” or “Organism A” , isn’t that kinda sad. But this embarrassment!! Well let’s forget this and move on. This the only thing I can do. Yeah the only thing I can do now.

The scientists put the hamster in a hamster ball and pushes him in to the wall of light. The hamster as if it was an illusion vanishes into the light. The scientists start monitoring the hamsters vitals and sees no visible changes.

After a few hours of monitoring Yuna checks the results and say, “ I think the experiment is an success what do you think Hiragi-san? ” and turns to see Hiragi.

Hiragi has a very creepy smile on his face and is almost too happy to control himself it’s as if he would jump into the gate right now if he could. Seeing this Yuna approaches Hiragi and hit him on the head saying, “What’s with that creepy face. I don’t care how much of a otaku you are control yourself. ”

“Yes miss. I am sorry. ”

Whoa, that was close I almost got lost in my own world.

With a cheerful voice Hiragi says to everyone, “I think the experiment is a success. So let’s move one to the next phase. Let me go to through the gate next. *Very very excitedly*. ”

Seeing Hiragi’s excitement Yuna says, “ Is this how a scientist acts? What are you a grade schooler? But since this is the work of your life we are gonna allow you to go first. But before that you have to put on this safety suit. And also the other who were selected to go with us please get ready. “

Finally the moment has come for me to live my dream. I am gonna be a hero in the new world no matter what!! “Alright let’s go everyone.”
