The Cardiovascular System of the body is made up of the heart, blood vessels, and blood. All creatures have one. Fish, Dogs, humanoids, Dragons. Dragons, like the fire breathing, flying, roaring, angry creatures. Ones that like to burn down towns and cities, like ones called Magis Alkemeye. Of course, the town had defenses against all sorts of enemies. Tall, thick walls for use against small and tall enemies to keep them out. A magic barrier against magic competent raids, and siege fighters. The town even had defenses against dragons too, but they hadn’t manage to deploy them in time to stop some dragon fire from reaching the city below. The magical barrier was up and operating at max capacity to protect the city, the dragon still there, trying to burn away the barrier. It looked to Jeanie like he was making progress too.
The town of Magis Alkemeye was situated on the lower half of a hill. The forest bordered the north-east edge of the city, tree line about half (.49) a mile away. It was a rather sizeable town, large enough to for the wizard’s tower and the town that surrounded it, with over 2000 (2084) citizens. Small houses for the lower and middle class. A few mansions owned by the upper class, and of course, the mayor had a decent sized manor also. Had being the operative word… As it was currently burning. The whole situation looked bad.
“ We should probably not go there today, JeeJee.” John exclaims to his sister, saddened by the prospect of food being taken away.
Silent, angry, hungry, and afraid, Jeanie did the second bravest thing she’d ever... done…?
“Good Idea.” she says, fake smiling as she briskly walks to her left going south, following the tree line, around the town to another place she thinks may have food.
*RRRRROOOOOOAAAAAAAAAARNNRRRRRRR*
“Little faster, bud.” Jeanie tells him to hurry him along.
Jeanie and John walked for what seemed like three (2:54) hours before they reached the place Jeanie was heading. It was a small clearing in the middle of the dense forest. A small maybe 20 ( 18) ft circle clearing, ripe with fish in the small pond, deer eating foliage, and birds of all shapes and sizes. This place was amply named Little Vana, after the fact that all the animal here were non-violent towards each other and travelers. Something made all the animals there that way. Wolves, phase hounds, and Spearfang Cats. Carnivores and herbivores, hunters and prey, friend and foe. It was truly peaceful. The only reason that people didn’t stay for long is that after being there for longer than 20 minutes, all the animals would disappear back into the forest and not come back until whoever was there, left.

Jeanie listened to the sounds of the animals, the tweeting of birds, panting and yipping of pups and hounds, screeching and chittering of monkeys, the noises of nature at peace. She decided to step within the clearing and felt the magically border caress her body as she did so. It was a warm and slightly tingly feeling. What wasn’t warm and tingly was that the second she had both feet in, all the animals went silent, and were all staring at her. 34 (33.5) pairs of eyes staring at her, as if to stare at her very soul. Shortly after her was John who noticed the same occurence and they both stood there quietly waiting for what felt like the longest 15 seconds of their lives.
The animals all went back to playing, and making noise again. The herbivores eating grass, and the carnivores yipping and playfully snarling and running around. Fawn deer stumbling around with wolf pups. It was truly beautiful. She missed this place, but the silence all ways weirded her out. She had been here with John a few times when they were wondering after being forcefully removed from their home. The first time here, John teared up a bit because of how much it scared him.
J: Hey, I really like Little Vana by the way, it’s beautiful.

Oh well, She can ignore me all she wants.
After finishing sending the message, Jeanie walks towards the pond and sits down at the edge. Toes in the water, she opens here bag and rummages through it for a moment, until she finds a small tube with a cap on one end and a small hood poking of the other side. She opens the tube and then in one motion grabs a small loop of twine and pulls enough for slack and than flicks the tube as to spill the contents. What comes out instead is a folded fishing rod with the tube containing it, as the handle. She put the twine loop around the hook and attaches food scraps to the hook at the end of the line. Jeanie casts the line into the pond and sits for about 40 seconds before she gets a bite. She yanks hard on the rod and successfully hooks a fish. She stands up from her seat and reels in the twine. After about a minute of fighting the fish, she gets him out of the water, and using her thumb nail, stabs the fish in the side of the head, killing it instantly. She proceeds to catch a total of 9 fish in 17 minutes. John decided to play with some of the wolf pups to pass the time. As Jeanie is bagging the last fish in her sack, all the animal stop making noise, and look up in the same direction, to the north, and all proceed to exit. All the animals walk single file the same direction that Jeanie and John entered. Jeanie and John stay still as to not get in their way. The fish all swim the opposite direction and leave the little pond, back to where-ever they came from.
“Okay, our twenty minutes are up.” Jeanie states, nonchalantly.
“ Can we come back later?” John asks with anticipation
“ Maybe, and don’t whine if we don’t.” She quickly adds
“Okay, good enough for me, JeeJee.” John says with a smile
With every creature gone from this little patch of heaven, Jeanie and John proceed the say way the animals did with John in front. As they pass through the border, a raven, as white as fresh snow lands on a branch above their heads, neither of them noticing. The raven stares at them as they continue walking and talking, before it lets out a ‘kaw’ and flies away.
" Do you think Magic Alkemay is safe from the dragon yet?" John asks.
" Magis Alkemeye, bud." Jeanie corrects him. "And I don't know. let's go see."
