Loud chattering filled a classroom, teenagers sitting on desks, some laughing loudly while watching a video on their phone filled a classroom with the smell and sounds of youth. A student with his head lying on his arms on a desk was quietly approached by another student who had just entered the classroom and went straight for the student lying on his desk.  

"Yo X," Said the student as he put his hand on the students head and ruffled his blonde hair with a smile on his face. The student called  X lazily smacked his hand away " Stop calling me that" he said lazily, seemingly used to being called that. "Come on not everyone gets to have such a cool nickname," he said as he grabbed a chair and sat down next to X's desk. "You the only person that calls me that" Said X annoyed by his friend's behaviour, "Yeah, everyone else doesn't dare with your infamous reputation... well look who it is," he said as he was distracted by the girl that just entered the class and looked at his friend with a smirk on his face and whispered " it's your crush Ikegami Haruhi . You going to finally make your move today ?", " I don't have a chance look whose she with again today,"  They both looked at the doorway and saw Ikegami Haruhi wasn’t alone when she walked as she was followed by another boy their age which formed a contrast with Haruhi as when she entered the class everyone eyes were drawn towards her and most of her classmates greeted her and she greeted back with a bright smile on her face, as she could be considered relatively beautiful her looks with her smile helped brighten up the room along with her natural charisma. If Ikegami Haruhi shone like the sun then the student who followed was like her shadow completely ignored by everyone, he kept his head down and had a gloomy surrounding him. The only people that greeted him was a small group of students in the back of the classroom who had their feet on their desks and uniform in disorder "Yo Takashi!" One of them called him over as the rest had smirks on their face. Takashi had a grimace on as he ignored them and just went to sit in his seat, seeing Takashi ignore him the student who called out to him put on an annoyed look and got up to approach Takashi’s seat but before he could get close someone stood in front of him and said “leave him alone  Ryunsuke ” said Haruhi with an unpleasant look on her face. "You going  hide behind a girl again Takashi," Ryunsuke said as he ignored Haruhi and looked straight at Takashi but he ignored him again and just put his head on his arms ."Tsk" Seeing no reaction from Takashi, Ryunsuke walked away back to his seat with an annoyed look on his face. “I honestly don’t get what she sees in him” said X’s friend to him as he start gossiping along with everyone in the class “they childhood friends and live right next to each other, of course we cant compete with him” X said as he shrugged his shoulders seemingly not bothered and looked towards the door as another student entered , who seemed to be as popular as Haruhi when he entered as everyone started greeting him and changed the air in the room to a carefree one once again after that short drama.” even if he Takashi wasn’t there or they weren’t that close there’s still him” said X as he put his head back on his arms “ Man you really unlucky Alex , who would’ve thought Takashi would be so lucky to be childhood friends with 2 of the most popular kids in school” said Alex’s friend as he shook his head “ It cause his so close to those 2 despite not looking as good as them or having their talents that his getting bullied” said Alex plainly ,”hmm you don’t look so bad yourself compared Makoto , you may not be as tall but you easily the most well built out of everyone in school.” said Alex’s friend as he inspected him followed by a sigh “if it wasn’t for your infamous reputation or your anti social personality you could easily become on the most popular guys in this school and stood together with them”

“what do you mean anti-social personality ?" said Alex clearly annoyed by his friend's evaluation of him, his friend patted his back and said "Come on Alex we just started high school there's still plenty of time to change  your personality around and for you to stand next to Haruhi," Alex gave his friend the middle finger and said "If I was to stand together with them there would be no space for you Shohei”, Shohei laughed " I could stand with them any time I wanted after all not only am I more handsome than you, my grades are better as well." Shohei said with his nose held high " if it wasn't cause of me hanging out with you I would be way more popular you know" Shohei said, "then don't hang out with me then" Alex snorted, "Come on how long have we known each other, You don't have any other friends besides me you know, what if I left you alone and they started bullying you like Takashi" Alex ignored his friend and didn't reply he silently decided to ignore this friend of his for the rest of the day. Shohei didn't mind Alex ignoring him and just continued talking about how much of a great friend he was.

The final bell rang for the day signifying the end of the school day, the school hallways were soon filled by students gathering together to go to their clubs or head home, Alex is one of the students who didn't join a club quickly heads escapes from school as he annoys his friend who was trying to convince him to hang out with him. "Come on Alex the midterms are coming up this is going to be one of our last chances to hang out like this for a while, there's going to be other girls from other schools there and I can guarantee they hot, they might not be one of Haruhi's calibre there but the quantity is more than enough," Shohei said expressing himself loudly .” Just go without me, I’m finally allowed back in the gym again and that’s where I’m going to spend my time after school from now on. You can head can go ahead to your mixer without me” Said Alex as he waved his hand at Shohei and walked past him to his destination. After 30 minutes of walking Alex reached his destination, A MMA gym that stood out from the surrounding buildings with its bright red and black paint job and posters on it advertising the MMA classes they were teaching there. Alex took a deep breath and opened the door to a relatively busy gym, a huge boxing ring in the centre with 2 people sparring and a few spectators surrounding it, A couple of people shadow boxing and other various activities. Alex ignored all of them and focused on the slightly older middle-aged man with greying hair currently focuses on the 2 people sparring in the ring. "Your suspension has ended, but you know the rules. You are in charge of cleaning up till you've proved that your behaviour has changed, this week we going to do double your usual routine and sparring will start a month from now. Any problems? " The middle-aged man said to Alex as he noticed him approach him without taking his eyes off the ring, "No coach" Quickly replied Alex as he stiffened up. "Good now go change out of your uniform we start immediately, I'll call your mom and tell her you coming home late this month cause you spending your time at my gym" Alex nodded and walked off to the changing room to change out of his uniform.

A few hours later and only 2 people are left at the gym locking up. "Good work today, keep it up," The middle-aged man said as patted Alex's back with a smile on his face clearly in a good mood," thanks coach," Alex said in an abated breath as he struggled to catch his breath and pull on his shirt that was soaked in sweat. "To end of today you going to jog home maintaining your pace, don't forget to follow your diet plan. Make sure you swallow everything and don't vomit any out otherwise it's going to be a tough day for you tomorrow" The coach said as he laughed and walked away. Alex took a deep breath and starting jogging home on the brightly lit streets by himself in absolute silence other than the occasional car passing by, he managed to make it to his apartment building in under 10 minutes. Taking note of his dinner left on the dining table he went straight for the bathroom to take a quick shower. Another nightly ritual finished as Alex finished his dinner, cleaned up his dishes, switched off the lights around the house, locked the door and passed out straight on his bed. Alex quickly slipped off to sleep as he was extremely exhausted from the training the coach put him through today.

Feeling himself being shaken by someone Alex groggily opened his eyes to his shock and seeing no one in his room, the light was on and it still seemed to be nighttime. Alex grabbed his phone off his nightstand and tried to check the time but to his dismay, his phone seemed dead "Fuck did I forget to charge it," Alex searched for his charger but couldn't find it, annoyed Alex shouted "Mom!" As he approached and opened his door causing Alex's next words to be stuck in his throat as he couldn't believe what he was seeing. A strong stench of iron filled his room from his open door as what lying beneath Alex was a huge ocean of blood with turbulent and chaotic waves, a huge red sky with no clouds in sight except for a huge eerie bloodshot eye in the sky with red pupils that was staring at Alex. As Alex looked up from the mind-shattering sight of an ocean of blood to see the huge eye staring at him Alex heard something break from within him and then everything slowly went dark as the eye stopped looking at him seemingly uninterested and looked off in the distance which was the last sight Alex saw as everything went dark.
