There are 4 main kingdoms in the land of Digma, namely;
Artoria to the west, the land of most fertile grounds and known to be the land of wisdom and intellect.
Khan to the north, land of snow and ice, most notable for their limited farming capabilities but iron rich mountains.
Sulta to the south, a hodge podge of biomes of forest, plains, and dessert most notable for having many exotic creatures.
And the Imperio Federation to the east, the smallest of the 4 kingdoms made up of numberous islands but the most culturally diverse and most abundant in marine resource.
Although there are 4 main kingdoms, within these kingdoms lies many lesser kingdoms, and within that many more Demesne.
This story starts at the IF(Imperio Federation) and its many warring lesser kingdoms. One of these kingdoms named Hamzak the most southeastern kingdom in the IF, currently at war with two of its neighboring kingdoms namely; Cruce to the west, and Avade to the north west. Both kingdoms combined are a little larger than twice the size of Hamzak.
Hamzak's war with Cruce has been going on for a little over 10 years now. Although sharing the same island with Hamzak, Cruce suddenly attacked Hamzaks most western villages. This angered the Raja (king) of Hamzak, Abi, but his counsil convinced him to send a messenger to the Lakan (king) of Cruce, Aji, to explain their actions to avoid furthur bloodshed. Instead of a reply the messenger came back missing his dominant hand and visibly beat up, this meant war. Before Raja Abi had any time to mount any type of military action Lakan Aji order all his troops to assault more villages. Although these villages were not totally helpless they could not win against what seem to them as a horde of enemies.
Stolen story; please report.
For the first 2 years Lakan Aji slowly pushed into the heart of the kingdom of Hamzak but suddenly Hamzak countered effectively and efficiently by employing guerilla tactics, targetted duels against Cruce's best Maharlika (freedman/freemen, warrior class) of certain strategic points to weaken their garrisons, surprise raids in the dead of night. What Hamzak lost had been reclaimed and slow but steady repairs and building of defenses was immediately initiated. Small skirmishes happened here and there but not enough to lose significant ground, this stalemate lasted for another 8 years. The trade of Hamzak was not totally damaged since the northern and northwestern trade routes remain unaffected that is until....
On the 10th year of the war, the northwestern kingdom of Avade their Lakan, Bol, suddenly joined the war to assist Cruce in the war sparking much anger from Raja Abi. This made Raja Abi prepare fortifications on the north and northeastern side of Hamzak. Also preparing a raiding force to damage Avade's naval force just enough for the northern trade to still continue to provide supplies for the on going war effort.
This process made countless children into orphans, many of which were adopted by the Datu (village chief) upon the order of Raja Abi to train into warriors but will still be classified as Alipin (debtors able to buy freedom). And this is where a little boy, one of the earliest survivors from the first batch villages raided, is at. Trained to defend and kill any would be threat to Hamzak since the age of 6. His name, Liso, whether it be remember or forgotten we shall see.
