===Chapter 2: Beginning of a legend===

As the quiet hush fills over the sound of silence in the bar, everyone starts shivering as the masked man's voice clings into their bones. The Preadam bandits could only stare awkwardly at this seemingly reckless person for trying to provoke them. They shake off their concern and start their attack towards the masked man with their swords drawn. The man however disappeared before their very eyes despite making full eye contact with the sky blue-eyed man.

"What!?"

"Where did he g-"

The first two bandits closest to their target had been smacked in the face where pieces of broken teeth and trickles of blood starts flying across the opposite way of their falling direction. The both of them had no idea how they were suddenly struck by something. Their companions who were further back from the two know of the truth. The masked man sent a straight jab and a backhand fist towards each of them and it was only with his left hand alone.

"Y-you bastard!?"

As the bandit swings his sword down, his momentum was suddenly halted. The masked man is holding his hand that is grasping the sword handle with his left hand. Surprised, the bandit tried to free himself but the iron tight grip made it impossible. He screams in pain as the hold slowly tightens up.

His companions rush in to help but they ended up beaten again but not with a punch. This time the person who has his hand caught ended up being used as a makeshift weapon instead. He got swung around incredibly fast and hard that his elbow joint popped out of their socket. As they get knocked into a body pile, the masked man finally lets his grip go so that the bandit may join his friends on the bar floor.

*whistle* *whistle*

The crowd was shocked that after the display of super Terran prowess he has the gall to whistle in front of the group of armed men. Kite stares at the scene with his thoughts blank at the absurd situation. The leader of the group slowly gets up groggily, clearly in a lot of pain with his expression getting pale.

"D-do-do you think you c-"

Before he has the luxury to finish his sentence, he got struck down again by the masked man's left-hand chop to the top of his skull. The force of the blow causes his jaw to shatter as he hits the floor again. As he groans in pain, the masked man tilts his head to his side with his finger scratching his head looking confused as if such a reaction itself seems strange to him.

"Eh? Why are you trying to scream like that hurts?"

"Wh-what!?"

"W-what non-no-nonsense are you saying!?"

The crowd especially the bandits are completely terrified since they realize the man standing there looking innocently confused is completely insane. Any normal person can tell that should be the respond when having to deal with such major injury.

"Ju-just you wait, you crazy bastard! We will make sure you and this place burns to t-"

*crack*

"GAAHHH!!!?"

The bandit that screamed this time suffered a much more brutal injury. His knee got bent backwards at an angle that it should not be at by the masked man. The left leg that got bent snapped right at the femur near the kneecap where the pain of muscles being torn apart accompanies it. Tears flow as the extreme pain he suffered only gets much worse when the masked man starts chuckling.

If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.

"Hu, hu, hu. Well, don't worry about it. Not like it can't be fixed."

He pushes the leg back violently to a more normal-looking posture which hurts even more. The bandit passes out due to the extreme pain as foam starts frothing in his mouth.

"There isn't that better."

Kite couldn't believe the way the conversation went. That white-haired man is unexpectedly a psychopath which was very unlike during his initial composure asides from being a gluttonous person. The masked man looks at the crowd around, slowly making eye contact with everyone, it is understandable they try to avoid it since the rich bright blue eyes now felt like they will stare right into their soul.

"Don't worry everyone. These guys are harmless. See, I didn't need to move much."

"Y-y-you..."

"Hmmm? Do you want to get beaten up again but as a fellow adult this time?"

The crowd had a sudden realization that he treated a group of armed men as nothing more than children but if that is how he treats a child, won't the adult version be even more horrifying. The bandits start to completely humiliate themselves except for the unconscious bandit. They let their bladder soiled their pants as they could only whine in pain and silence.

"Well, I suppose you guys can just go now since I'm done playing."

Since mercy was given, they scurry their way to stand up and drags their passed out friend towards the exit. Terror got engraved onto their faces instead as the masked man is blocking the exit. He is leaning at the side of the door frame slanting lazily against it with his right arm curled to support his head as the elbow rest against the frame. Despite the mask, they could tell he is smiling towards them.

"Now, now. It wouldn't be fair if you guys don't have a limb broken as well so..."

A couple of bone-breaking and screams later, the commotion finally settles as the bar is now free from the thugs. The crowd involved sticks with the staff of the bar since they know the sort of trouble coming toward this outpost town. After everyone asides from the masked man snap back to reality, they start confronting the mad man, especially Kite because he felt that the bandits would have left much earlier if he didn't step in for Kesh.

"Do you have any idea who those bandits are!?"

"Oh? Those clowns? Yes."

"THEN WHY ARE YOU PICKING A FIGHT WITH THEM!! YOU WILL GET EVERYBODY HERE KILLED!!"

"Don't sweat it, kid. They can't do anything to me nor will they get to do anything anymore."

"Huh!? Are you trying to go after them!"

The man's fish-eye stare only caused Kite to be drawn in by the bright blue eyes until he pulls himself together. Kite could tell the masked man is smiling at him without opening the mask. It is a strange sensation of knowing something to be there while not being able to see it. Kite felt his insides churning with his curiosity getting a hold of him as he strangely got excited.

"Say why don't you come along then. It will be fun."

"WHAT DID YOU SAY!?"

"F.U.N. Fun. Well, you can stay back here instead."

The crowd already have their common sense pressured by the man as they could not help but feel the smile that radiates past the mask. Not only is the masked man aware of the bandit's identity, he intentionally let them escape. Libertas will end up destroyed by the bandits within the day. Even if the bandits that were at the bar are the lowest of the group, they can still get their revenge. The patrons and townfolk would normally move out by then since no matter how powerful he is, even a master class combatant will have difficulty facing hundreds of bandits alone. The conversation however suggests that he is going to subjugate the entire Praedam bandit by himself.

The masked man walks towards Kesh and hands him a sack. As Kesh opens it, he saw it full of money well above the cost of the meals he preordered initially. As the man walks toward the exit, he begins to whistle in a joyful tune. The bar got silent once more when they hear the whistling again, as the rhythm accompanies each step made, the man left the bar. Kite starts dashing after the man while turning around briefly.

"Mr Kesh, Maria, everyone. I will be back!"

"Wait a minute boy!"

"Kite! It's dangerous to go alone!"

Kite rushes out of the bar looking side to side trying to find the masked man. As words from Kesh and Maria fail to get his attention as he got far from them while catching up with the masked man. Kesh grasps his hands together tightly as he looked at the young boy leaving.

"Boy, I hope you come back in one piece."
