'You know things have gone tits up when you find that your entire village/sub division somehow got transported into another world... with you. Has anyone ever had this issue before or is it just me still?' - Wayward Wizard
----------------------------------------
Bright blaring light shining all over as the surrounding area is swallowed whole by some unknown light of sorts.
People scream and shout, dogs yelp and whine, cats and cars screech all the same as the world around them seemingly came to an end.
Only that it doesn't feel like it has
When the light went down a couple notches in brightness the world seemed a whole lot greener. As in covered in trees and looking plenty cleaner, comparable to those heartwarmingly enticing panoramic photos of natural scenery.
Ve-Wayward, they internalized, had not at all calmed down even after a couple of minutes pass, even as the loud noises quieted down.
No. They were ecstatic at the implications of what had just happened. They were grinning from ear-to-ear, madly so were their villain-esque laughter bellowing out slowly from their mouth.
Their muscles tensed as they sprinted into their house and up the stairs to their room. They looked around and found their phone next to an untouched, newly bought book.
They swiped open their phone lock and looked for various details from a certain deckbuilder game in their files, along with a document detailing the features and abilities of a particularly flashy OC.
They wrote like mad for the following moments, never stopping until they managed to write down the base components for their arcane build.
so basically this is a thing that's happened, wayward pondered, that it actually happens on a wish is quite terrifically hillarious.
By the end of the zealous scribbling and scritching of pens the book was transformed into a much older, more prominent tome of sorts.
leather-bound and embedded with multicolored gemstones, the Infinity Tome has come to be and it is glorious!
They opened the Tome with a flick of the wrist, quickly flipping through pages brimming with white light not too disimilar to the light from minutes ago.
Wayward raised a tense right hand, the left holding the Tome as they wordlessly cast a spell.
The Tome flipped through pages on it's own and shined blindingly blight until it slowed down to a single page.
It had the image of the Original Character written beforehand, albeit more beautifully illustrated and with many words and numbers.
Wayward shimmered under an array of white, gold, and violet lights dancing in symmetrical patterns up and down their person.
At that moment they wore an entirely bright yellow ensemble.
A cloak with a cowl shaped like a bowl with little slithering, white snakes near the edge of the cowl meeting where the wearer's mouth would've been. Long yellow sleves and short pants followed by yellow socks and gloves. The shoes looked fairly similar to the ones Sora from Kingdom Hearts originally wore.
all top quality silk baby!
They then closed their right hand to a fist and willed themself elsewhere. The house they were in sitting fairly quiet despite the latest commotion.
----------------------------------------
Elsewhere in the skies above~
Wayward narrated with a snicker as they stood aloft an invisible platform observing the entirety of the village, overlooking the area it is now stationed in.
The area was fairly peaceful looking, if a bit too serene in how it almost looked picturesque.
The place was just so unimaginably clean and fresh that it made Wayward's stomach turn in on itself and rumble, unease visible on their lips as the signs of queasiness became more apparent.
this is way too good to not have some sort of caveat-!
And just like that fate seemed to be eagre on making Wayward actually work for their wish granted. A small cluster of what looked to be i am not calling those uglies trolls nope not gonna disgrace my favorite kids Hill Giants.
If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
They held large tree branches like clubs and their mouths showed snarls. And one of them raised its nose in the general direction of the village, the others following suit and began charging with deep roars that induced a few screams in return.
yeah this is about as i expected, damn good practice session though not gonna lie
Wayward teleported back to the ground, now wearing a pointed wizards hat and wearing a new pair of round glasses with a smirk behind their cowl.
Wayward narrated their actions like a dweeb and looked at the slowly coalescing group of bystanders who saw them appear in front of the village entrance in their yellow Gtier Jammies!
They slowly spun around and made their voice boom louder, androgynous in nature as it spoke their words to the upcoming hoard of hill giants.
"Welcome to Wellington Village. Let this Wayward Wizard welcome you with a spectacular display of the almighty arcane arts!"
Lights similar to the rapture yes im calling it that might as well be the harbinger of ragnarok and all that shone as the book flickered through pages on its own, leaves of pages glowing white as they flew through the air and manifested a whole host of spectral entities floating in pairs.
After they appeared the air grew thinner with each one seemingly sucking in air and vibrating with energy.
Wayward picked up a page as it flew up from the Tome, the page dimming slightly to show its contents.
Within the page was a swirl of various colors that interwove into ✷vibrant lights✷, blades, beams, and apparently cartoon sketches of natural disasters.
The bystanders murmurs quieted down as they watched on. Each one growing more worried than the last with whats to come next, waiting with labored breaths.
oops i think that was my fault... yikes
Wayward winced at the lack of thought that went into planning the showcase and simply threw the page towards the hill giants.
What came next was a flurry of isolated storm clouds and hail that rained spikes of ice which tore through flesh and bones.
Blood drenched the giants, blood that reflected the multi-colored lightning barrage that struck branched out from the low clouds.
The lightning strikes that followed inflicted all sorts of afflictions, most of which can be listed as: Fire, Poison, Frost, Weakness, Fear, Rage, Confusion, and lastly receiving a flurry of black cards that read "Virginity Revoked".
The light show stopped before a series of isolated natural disaster occured where they stood. A tornado ripping through their numbers, the nearby river yo i just noticed that overflowed and sent a small but impactful wave that flattened the giants before the earth shook and opened up to swallow the now coooked mincemeat giants, never to be heard from again.
"That was a lot more overkill than I expected it to be. When the card description said 'unleash a series of spell effects enhanced per spell boost' I didn't think it'd be this brutal. Jegus grist what have I done."
In a couple moments that whole event would get written down as part of the village's new timeline. It would also mark the start of a new civilization more advanced than any other in terms of technology and capability.
But for now what happens next is that Wayward had to go re-introduce themself to everybody, coerce the home owners association to acknowledge the power held by the self imposed "Wayward Wizard of Wellington", and start negotiations on how Wayward can make use of their nigh unparalleled power to rework the village architecture into resembling something more akin to an urbanized suburbs.
It was basically an excuse to practice their use of magic while gaining everyones trust by making their homes better in general. Along with upgrading the village entirely.

A/N:
Overall the story is yet to start and our Wizardly protagonist has yet to achieve mastery over their powers. Of course, the moment I write the actual story welli-ahem- Wellington Village and its Wizard we would have already skipped ahead to about a year or two.
The story I had in mind when I came up with this idea was that I would make an overpowered self-insert character become the mentor to a bunch of "wayward" kids and teens who go through Persona 5-esque scenarios and gain superpowers and whatnot.
But this is not that story.
Or at least, not yet anyways.
As the one in charge of overseeing this World and its inhabitants, placing plots and challenges and characters down for the main cast to cross paths with, I am taking my full metanarrative powers and manifesting an input box for you the reader to enter your suggestions into.
Its called the comment section lmao high five me!
*clap!*
In any case, this is about as good as where to drop this off. I would genuinely appreciate any readers who have ideas on what they'd like to see. Maybe I'll implement it, maybe I wont. But I really just wanted to interact with people and my sleep deprived brain thought that writing a fic would help me do just that.
Audience iteraction has always been my favorite part of stories. And I truly hope that I do good in that one when I finally get to writig the actual story.
Take care of yourselves and I wish you all a great day/week/month/year!
