Inception of the Journey: Escaping the Darkness

Before the Battle of Marathon by 16 years, the Persian kings dominated the world and neighboring civilizations. The Persians would recruit young people from the colonies into the immortal army to invade neighboring civilizations. Babylon was under the rule of the Persian emperor. He sent his battalions to recruit and select the best young soldiers. The city of Baron was one of the most important places to recruit soldiers because of the intelligence of its children. They learned sword fighting, horse riding, and hunting from a young age. This matter preoccupied the people of Baron, including Baru's father, who harbored hatred for the Persians and their despotic treatment of their people. Since the fall of the city of Babylon into the hands of the conquering Persians, they killed its people, enslaved them, and treated them with racism, despite being a less civilized and advanced people who worshiped pagan gods, unlike the Babylonians who worshiped one God, the creator of everything. This made Baru's father think about confronting the Persian battalions that would demand his son Baru for conscription. He had to consult the most skilled astrologers in the city of Baron to see his son's fate and help him in the decision. He had to take Baru with him to the astrologer, and that's what actually happened. When they entered the temple, they heard the voice of the astrologer saying that they were fierce, merciless lions. Go to the sea, escape to the sea, for there is no freedom except the freedom of the waves. Baru was terrified as he heard the voice of the astrologer from an unknown source. Then Baru's father approached the source of the voice and said, "My lord priest, they are coming to take him." With that, he heard only one word, "the sea," and then the voice disappeared.
