"Buenos días," he said while opening the door with a big smirk. “You ready to rumble, Kei?”. He gave him the usual handshake and let his cousin in. “Since when did you speak French?” Kei asked him. “You’ve got to be kidding me, right?” their cousin Ennosuke, who has some French roots, yells at them. “Chill out. He’s just trying to get a reaction out of us,” said Kosuke coming into the room with a glass of water. He partially shares the same roots as Ennosuke. Enrique claps his hands. “Well, now that everyone’s here, why don’t you guys go ahead and set up the instruments while I’m gonna get ready!” And with that, his cousins went ahead to the garage. Enrique’s parents were the only ones who didn't mind them blasting their music at full capacity and allowed them to use their garage as a practice room. His mom and dad never used it anyway. The only things they kept there are a few letters from his parents, which they had sent to each other back in the olden days right after they got together. While every couple back then would either meet up or talk for hours on the telephone, these two would write letters to each other. “Kinda weird,” he thought. He went up the stairs and into his room. Enrique was still in his Pyjamas. The new practice times were crashing with his sleep schedule, but 'no can do' when everybody else is an early bird. “Why couldn’t Ennosuke take after his father, then it would’ve at least been a two vs two,” he mumbled to himself while he was putting on his jeans. “Aww are we depressed?” his sister suddenly appeared in his room. “Nice timing,” he said with one leg in his jeans and the other one still exposed. She’s his twin sister, they’re practically almost the same person anyway, so they didn’t feel embarrassed about this kind of stuff. “Say, Maria, do you think we’ll make it big?” He would always ask his sister about these types of things because he knew that no matter what, she would always be honest with him. “Time will tell, bro.” He wasn’t satisfied with that answer, but still, he went downstairs.
