In the year 2019 game developers released a deep dive MMORPG that was supposed to revolutionize gaming however things went wrong and three million players were stuck inside the game. Now my part in the whole thing is that I am entering three months after this whole thing went down; my name is Bishop Wells and I am the Number One player in deep dive games, this is why the government hired me to go in and solve this issue. My reward for doing this is very simple really, I want full access to all deep dive games in the world in the future and they accepted without question. The reason they accepted is that when someone dies in the game they die in real life and well it’s a win-win situation for them; if I die then they don’t have to give compensation to me along with millions of other people, if I do succeed they become heroes that rescued the two million players that are still alive.
I have never cared about my real life so dying in the game isn’t that bad and it’s not like it’s anything new, I have a habit of putting my system into the danger zone when playing games so every wound and every near death situation is created when playing video games. This habit has both ruined my body and made it stronger in ways most people couldn’t even imagine, the feeling of fighting for your life is unlike anything you can feel in normal video games. This game that I was going into was called Warlords ambition and would give you a role that influences your peoples future in some way, what made it go further than anything before it was their AI’s that were generated to interact with the players.
I waited in the side of the room reading threw the relevant information about the game which was pretty much trash seeing how they had no control over the skills generated other than the beginning skills that they designed for you in the beginning. As I was finishing up reading the agent that contacted me walked up to me; she wore a suit with a gun holstered to her leg hidden beneath her skirt, black hair and brown eyes with a supermodel look she was the best thing in the room, only thing that needed to be worked on was her attitude towards people.
“The deal still stands; go in and rescue the players inside, your location and race will be randomized but there will be a high possibility that the system will interfere with your spawn so be careful. The tech team has also given you two extra features which will be useful; the first is to communicate with us in safe zones, the second is an in-game store that lets you buy items of this world and other games you’ve played. Items will be doubled in price in the game so be prepared, now don’t fail us Mr. Wells.” (Agent)

“You’re a ball of sunshine aren’t you; if you are so worried about it why don’t you join me I’m sure you’ll get a hang of it if you tried.” (Me)
“My job is to monitor you and provide first aid whenever you get injured in the game, injuries won’t show up on the surface but it might cause a seizure to those not prepared…” (Agent)
“Relax I have done this before, after all who do you think was the Black Listed player in the Beta of the first Deep Dive game? You people never learn from your mistakes but it’s alright seeing how you have others to clean up after you don’t you.” (Me)
Before the agent could even say anything the maintenance crew informed us that the pod was ready for me, I started to undress showing countless scars from my thrill seeking in-game. I ignored the stares as I climbed into the pod, I put the oxygen mask over my face and the tank filled with water followed by the nerve implant activating causing my vision to change into a white room with a login screen.
[You are about to login in to Warlords Ambition, what is your name and gender?]
“Bishop, 20 year old male.” (Me)

The surroundings faded into black and I started falling, this was actually part of the game not the loading screen seeing how the surroundings were cave walls and well I was falling into a pit. I brought my hands and feet together then pointed towards the wall, when I got inches away from it I brought my hands up grabbing the side which started to slow my decent. My hands and feet were riddled with cuts from the decent but I was alive which counted, since I was only a few feet away from the ground I climbed down only to receive my first notification to start my new fucked up life.
[You have entered Exiles Cave]
[This place holds dark secrets and even darker inhabitance which would like nothing more than a new imp snack, players have been restricted from this area but some humans forced their way in so no helping it]
“Well I guess the AI have a ego after all, and it might hold a grudge towards me if I change a lot in its world.” (Me)
