"Osiris!"
The large man lifted himself from his throne, two halberds crossing over the throne, and two guards standing next to them.
"How are you my dearest!"
Osiris ran to her father hugging him like a bear. "Better then ever!"
"Oh, and why's that!"
Osiris looked up to him.
"Cause I get to see you!!"
"You see me everyday girl!"
"I know.." Osiris paused to think.
"But today is special!"
"Oh, OK, why is today special my princess!"
"Just feels special!" That wasn't the truth though. Osiris was really transported back in time! She had no idea her bounds or if she could change the future.... Could she?
"Osiris my dear!"
She Instantly shifted her focus back to her father.
"I have a gift for you."
"Oh, I was told!"
"Oh?" The man glances at Anubis, Anubis just rubs his neck nervously chuckling.
"Did he say what it was?"
Osiris thought for a minute, she already knew what it was but figured it would be best to keep it looking like she was surprised.
"Nope!"
"Oh well that's good!" The man laughed, and motioned a guard to fetch something from the room to the side.
"Take a guess at what it is!"
Osiris acted like she was thinking real hard, pressing her fingers to her chin.
"A puppy!?"
Her father laughed. "No, no puppies yet!"
'Yet!?" Anubis protested.
The man laughed again, motioning the guard over.
"This Osiris."
She looked toward the guards hands, knowing full well what would be there.
"Is The Ring of Our sin."
The ring glowed, flowing between blood red and sky blue. Osiris hadn't seen it in years... Her amazement at the ring was just as genuine as the first time she saw it.
"This object was what-

"Yes Anubis.. Your mother wore this ring, and I am pas-
"With all respect in mind to my sister father, I beg you not give this gift to her!"
Their father stood up from his throne again, reaching his hand out to his son.

"Your sister was as much as her daughter to her as you were her son."
"Bu-but father, surely mother would of wanted it to go to her last born!"
"Isis will be far to strong to wield this ring."
"What?!"
Osiris stuck in the middle, knew she wouldn't win the ring, not because of anubis, but because of-
The doors to the hall slam open.
"FATHER!"
"Set!"
"I won't let you do this!
"You dare to ease drop on us se-
"Shut it Urchin!" Anubis froze in anger.
Their father flung his hand out to point at Set.
"I will NOT have my court disturbed by this Set!"
"But father I must plead!"
"It is not your choice to make Set!" Set turned to his elder brother.
"I am the second strongest caster in this building father!"
"That means nothing when a caster has no head!"
Set turned away from squaring up with his brother.
"At least lord, let me plead my case!"
"Father don't listen to this fo-
"I doesn't deserve to be heard.."
"Yet I will hear his request." The mighty figure sat back in his throne, guards lowering their weapons. Set smirked.
"Father plea-
"Enough Anubis, the children complain enough when it comes to Osiris as is."
Set took his knee in front of his father.
"Lord, I may ask that you grant the ring to the most powerful caster in the Clan."
"Reasoning?"
"Well mother wasn't adapted at combat with magic, but she could summon the weapons of the ring to guide her into battle, why give such power to a lowly orpha-

"Girl with no power, lord."
"Because it would benefit her more then anyone el-
"Not exactly my lord!"
"Hm?"
Osiris realized, isn't that what I was promised by avo? If I make it out of here do I possess that power?
"You see if a young magic caster were to wear the ring, I believe it would meld and form a deeper connection with them, then ever before!"
The king clenched his fist. Launching up from the throne.
"You dare to read my research without permission!"
Set stumbled onto his butt.
"Wha- No lord!"
"That work is top secret and not accessible through any means other then snooping!"
"My lord, I'm sor-
"Guards throw him in the dungeon!"
"Wha- Father no!"
The guards dragged set by his arms, he kicked and struggled his way through the entire ordeal.
"At least consider my advice father!"
One the the guards elbows his face.
"Ow, HEY do you know who I am, the Grand Priest will have your job! The guards laugh and keep dragging him on.
"Keep him there for a week!"
Osiris smirked, serves you right!
The king fell back in his throne. "That boy..."
"It's more so the priest fault father, that man fills all of my siblings with ideals of old!"
"I know Anubis, I know.."
Osiris stood up and walked over to her father.
"It's always why they hate the Orpha- I mean Osiris."
"I know.. Yet the Circle keeps me tied to them."
"Grandfather should of never gotten reinvolved with the church!"
"And I pay for his foolishness everyday."
Osiris stood there and knew now what they spoke of, she knew nothing as a children it turned out!
"Osiris!"
She shoots back up looking to her father.
He smiles at her, his green eyes glowing, as the same with his ring.
"It would appear I cannot give you this gift Osiris, I am sorry."
"Of course father."
"Though I will do something even better!"
Anubis jumped up out of his seat at the long table. "Huh?!"
The king reached into his pocket, ripping his hand out a little knife in his hand.
"Have this instead!"
Osiris took the knife, it was thin and light, very flexible. Osiris knew the knife because she had, had it before, yet it felt different this time. Osiris smiled at it, and took a swing, the knife glowed and stiffened.
"Oh so you know how it works already?" Osiris turned back to her father grinning.
"Actually no I don't!"
"Oh, it seemed like you did!"
He put a hand on her shoulder.
"It is basically rubber until your will to live is actived!"
"Will to live?"
"Yes, your will to live is something we don't fully understand yet, it is a drive in your brain that says 'I want to live!' and can give you amazing strength!"
"Is that your research father?"
"Only a small part my dearest!"
What could the rest of his research be into? Osiris continued to space out.
"I have one more thing Osiris!"
"Yes father?"
He holds his hand out, the ring shines glows and gleems.
"I cannot allow you to use the ring, I am sorry, yet I will allow you to guard it until Isis is of age."
Osiris stood in place frozen by the announcement and the ring itself.
"So you have chosen Isis to be your successor lord?"
"I guess it is to be!"
"We will make the announcement within a week!"
"Father, I must insist you take Isis under your stewardship instead of the churches."
"Of course, I will not have my son raised by a handicap!"
Osiris's father turned back to her.
"Find a place to hide the ring, whether on yourself or in a place no one would look!"
"I will father!"
"Now!!" The king shoots up from his throne.
"We go to watch your siblings train Anubis."
"Yes father."
They both walk towards the doors.
"Come if you want dearest Osiris!"
Osiris looks up to her father.
"I will!"
