17. Monster Hunters.

Screen opens to Jon Butcher shop were Jon talking to Dave who sitting at the counter.

Jon- So your past come back to Haunt you hu.

Dave- Unfortunately yes. I'm still trying to figure out what to do.

That when Ethan walked in.

Jon- Hey Ethan what will you be having today.

Ethan. Nothing today. I was looking for Dave. Also he says hi.

Jon- Ha.

This surprised Jon and Dave.

Dave- How can I help you.

Ethan- I want to know more about the Holly Knights.

Dave- Hm well there a lot to go over. I guess I'll start with the forming of the group. They formed around 16th century were there was an increase of Monster Attacks. It was believed that they were ones that followed Humanity through the gateway before it was closed. There were two Monster hunting groups then The Holly Knights and The Hell-Gates.

Ethan- Wait you family that old Jon?

Jon- Ha. Ya we fought each other over if Monsters were truly sinful. And deserved death.

Dave [Clear Throat]- Anyways over the years the Monsters slowly disappeared from earth. But instead of the group falling apart they became Assassins Mercenary and lenders of money gaining influence in many governments. And through out the years they sought out ancient tombs for there knowledge and power in controlling Aura. Well that was until the gateway war.

Ethan- So that's why there at The Valley of the Dark Kings.

Dave- Yes. They seek more power. But there only find death there.

Ethan- What do mean?

Dave- I mean the Valley is a giant death trap. Filled with traps and monsters they've only seen in ancient books. It would take all the Holly Knight's working together to even secure the outer area. trust me on that from experience being there.

Ethan- Is there any pacific way the Holly Knight's fight.

Jon- I can answer that. There three classes there knights are poot in. The lowest member are called Knights they carry basic weapons ranging from guns to knight weapons they also can't use Aura. While there second group are those who can use Aura but couldn't pass there trials so there forced into only one skill to study under like Swordsmen training or Aura training. There called Royal Guard. And finally there the Lords there trained in both combat and Aura use.

Ethan- So that guy I fought yesterday was a lord but he only study combat from what I could tell.

Dave- Each lord trains different. You lucky you fought a combat specialist. Other wise you might not have done as well as you did.

Ethan- Well at least I now know what to look out for.

Jon- Ha. I must say your smarter then most people Ethan.

Ethan- Hu!?

Dave- I agree most people wouldn't ask for help or information about who there fighting against. I apricate that.

Ethan- Well after almost getting killed I thought I could use the help.

Jon- So how did Ms. Grim and her students reacted when you told them about being attacked by The Holly Knights.

Ethan- Um let just say they were all happy I was alright . But Ms. G is upping our training and know one of the girls have to be with me when I go out and train.

Dave- Wow she wasn't that strict when we were training under her.

Jon- Ha ya those were the days. So is there anything else ya need Ethan.

Ethan- Um just one. I was wondering if any of you could train me a bit. To be able to fight them better.

Jon and Dave looked surprised.

Jon- Well that depends Ethan.

Ethan- Depends on what?

Dave- If your willing to come here every Sunday and go through the most intense training you will ever be put through. Then we will train you.

Ethan- Then lets get started I'm ready.

Jon- Sure thing right after you eat.

Jon pulls out two hands the one with hamburger and fries to Ethan. While Dave had basic special. While Jon had a sandwich and fries.

Ethan- But I don't have any money for this.

Dave- Don't worry this is on me. Take it as a gift for becoming our new student.

Ethan- Well thank you.

Jon- Your always to kind priest.

Dave- It just who I am old friend.

Screen changes to Ethan and Dave in the Dark Forest. Ethan in his training armor.

Ethan- Aright I'm ready.

Jon- Good know attack me with the intent to kill.

Ethan- Hu!? What about the magic circle.

Jon- Don't worry your not strong enough to kill me.

Ethan- Uh if you say so.

Ethan charged at Jon he activates his sword as he get close to Jon but he manages to dodge it with ease.

Jon- Hm Impressive from what you've learned from Ms. Grim and your mother. But.

Jon grabs his sword with his hand and yanks it away and force Ethan to go hand to hand. Ethan tried to use pressure points and CQC but just like his fight last time Jon easily beats him up. Then slams him on the ground. Ethan grip his sword with telekinesis and try's to impale Jon who easily stops his sword from hitting him using telekinesis. Ethan try's to yank his sword back to him but Jon manages to easily grab his sword and deactivate it.

Jon- You still have a lot to learn. Ha Ha Ha.

Jon tossed back Ethan sword and they continued training but each time Ethan was disarmed.

Ethan [Thoughts]- Dam It. Why can't I get a hit on him? UH!!

Until Jon uppercut him and launched him a few feet away from him.. As Ethan got back up he deactivate his sword and puts it on his belt.

Jon- Good that was what I was trying to teach you to fight hand to hand. You wont always have your weapons to use.

Ethan charged in trying to punch Jon who kept his guard up. So Ethan tried use telekinesis push to off-balance him but he stood firm. As the fight continue Dave watched.

Dave [Thoughts]- Ha I can see why Ms. Grim allowed him to attend her school. He's strong and smarter then the average student. Ethan not just mixing physical strikes but Aura attacks as well. Given time he can become a very deadly combatant.

As Jon launched Ethan back with a punch. He then charged [Dark Blue] Lightning through his hands that surprised Jon and Dave. He then charged back at Jon who had [Dark Red] Fire through his own hands. When they collided Ethan was launched back and through a tree. As Ethan got back up he was getting ready ton attack again. But Jon placed up his hand.

Jon- Alright that's enough.

Ethan [Confused]- Hu but I can still fight?!

Dave- That wasn't the point of this training session Ethan. It was to gage on how strong you are with Aura. And see what we can teach you.

Ethan- So what can you teach me.

Dave- Hm well Ms. Grim has taught you well. There not much we can teach you. But we can teach you to better control your Aura.

Ethan- Then lets get started I'm ready to learn when you are.

Dave- Then right this way this training will take both Mind, Body, and Aura to use. So it might take sometime to get right.

Ethan- Ha I'm Always up to learn more so let's go.

As they left the screen changes to Ms. Grim girls waiting for Ethan at the front gate of there school.

Sibella- Uh What's taking him so long.

Phara- Ow come on Sibella you still can't be mad at him for The Holly Knight's being here.

Tanis- Ya it's not his fault.

Sibella- I'm not mad at him for that . I'm mad at him for being 30 minutes late again dear.

Winnie- Come on Bella cut him some slack he's been training his but off.

Elean- Winnie got you there. He's been training with Jon on his day off as well.

Sibella- He's been training with who!?

Everyone look at Elean surprised.

Elean- What none of you knew.

Sibella- Of course not. Now I have to inform the magic court about this. Uh this week couldn't get any worse.

Ethan- Sorry I'm late today. I had to retake a test at school. I'm verry sorry girls.

Sibella- Uh speak of the devil.

Phara- Ha Ha. It's alright Ethie!

Tanis- Ya we got a special ability to teach you today.

Ethan- Uh what would that be Tanis.

The girls smiled creepily that creeps Ethan out then the screen changes to Ethan being blindfolded and in the school front yard. Ethan in his training armor.

Ethan- Ok what up with the blindfold?

Tanis- Well today your going to learn to fight without using your eye sight. This is called Aura Sight. You can see others Aura it also can allow you to predict others movement and attacks. Along with spot invisible enemy's.

Phara- Ha Ha. So it will take some time for you to get the hang of it.

Ethan- So what I'm suppose to do?

Winnie- I got this girls. First close your eyes then in your mind reach out. Can you hear my breathing.

Ethan has a flash back to Dave and him meditating inside the church garden.

Dave- That's It focus on your breathing feel everything around you that has Aura. And how it flows through all things. Know stand and keep focus on your breathing.

Ethan stands up as the screen changes back to him listening to Winnie.

Ethan [Deep Breath]- yes I do.

Winnie- Good don't focus on the sound but of the Aura that's around it. Now step back and see what truly there.

Ethan see's Winnie body shape but it has Blue mixed in with light amount of Dark Red Aura around her heart. This surprised Ethan who lost focus and it returned to darkness. Ethan took off the blind fold and see Winnie standing Infront of him smiling happily.

Winnie- Well done Ethan. But you still have to practice with it more to use it naturally.

Ethan- How do you now so much about of this?

Winnie- That simple we Werewolf's are taught this from the day we learn Aura. It helps in combat.

Sibella- Don't forget we Vampires learn it at a young age as well.

Winnie- Ya but we actually use it to Hunt. Unlike you Blood Suckers.

Sibella [Mad and Calm]- Really that would explain why you Werewolf's are always barbaric.

Winnie- What was that fang face.

They both glare at each other.

Elean- Alright that's enough of you two. I don't want to have to brake you two up again.

Winnie and Sibella- Fine!

Ethan- Uh!? What's with them Phara.

Phara- Ow the Vampires and Werewolf's have never gotten along. I thing it because there long bad history with each other.

Ethan- What type of history?

Sibella and Elean looked at Phara with disapproval.

Phara- Uh well just a bunch of broke peace agreements and deals. You now boring politics. Ha Ha.

Ethan- Hm. That sound interesting. What type of agreements.

Tanis [Worried]- Uh Ethan how did you learn to use Aura Sight so well?

Ethan- Ow well I guess it was training with Dave.

Tanis- The towns priest!?

This surprised everyone thinking he was only training with Jon.

Ethan- Ya he's a really cool guy. Ha Ha.

Sibella [Thoughts]- Great more things I need to explain to the Magic Courts.

Phara- Hey don't they take an oath not to kill. Or something like that.

Ethan- Yes but if lives are in danger they can act in self defense to protect themselves or others.

Phara- Ha. That interesting.

Sibella- Alright everyone remember were here to train Ethan not talk about who trains him.

Tanis- But weren't you interested in it a few minutes ago.

Sibella looked at Tanis mad.

Tanis- Um never mind.

Ethan notice this but decided to not say anything.

Ethan [Thoughts]- Ha what with Sibella today. She seems a bit angrier then usually.

Sibella- Good now put back on the blindfold Ethan. Your training far from over today.

Ethan puts back on the blindfold as Sibella takes out a Red Ruby and use it to create a Magic Circle around Ethan.

Sibella- Alright Ethan draw your weapon. You going to learn how to fight without sight. And don't worry your in a Magic Circle.

Ethan- What!? How am I to do that?

Elean- Remember your training with Aura Sight and you'll have nothing to fear.

Ethan- Uh. Alright I'll give it a go.

As Ethan focused he could only see a few feet in a circle around him.

Ethan focus and only can see in a five foot circle around him with Aura Sight. That when Tanis summon a 25 Ancient Egyptian Skull Soldier. They all have Egyptian swords.

Tanis- Seth Army of Bones. . You attack.

Tanis points to one of the Skull soldiers and he charges in to attack. Ethan manages to hear the bones. And faces were the skull soldier was coming from. And when it enter Ethan Aura sight he easily cuts the skull down.

Tanis- Well done Ethan. Uh!?

Ethan looked happy. Sibella lifted up her hand and a Rose Magic Circle appears around the remaining 24 Skeleton.

Sibella- Blood Spell of Silence. . . Now have the rest of them attack.

Tanis- Uh!? Ok. . All remaining Skeleton Soldiers attack!

Ethan hears Tanis asking her remining Skeletons attack but he surprised he couldn't hear them. As they enter his Aura sight he's surprised by this.

Ethan [Thoughts]- What!? Why can't I hear them. Hu!?

Ethan blocks the first few attacks and manages to dodge there strikes and cut down a few.

Sibella- Come now Ethan you need to be able to fight against those you can't hear. There are certain Monsters who are able to mask there presence from your Aura Sight. So you must be vigilant unless you wish to die quick and painful.

Ethan lightly gut from behind but he sees nothing with his Aura Sight. However he keeps moving. Ethan try's to use his Lightning or Telekinesis but they don't work.

Ethan [Thoughts]- What why can't I use my Lightning?

Elean- You really think we would allow you to use your Telekinesis or lightning. This is to improve your sword and Aura Sight skills. Not your other ability's.

Ethan- Wish you would have told me that sooner.

Elean- Ya that's our bad.

Phara- Ha Ha. Sorry Ethan.

As Ethan continued to fight Winnie notice he's struggling.

Winnie [Thoughts]- Come on Ethan I now your better then this.

As the fight continue Ethan manages to kill most of the Skeletons. Only leavening five left but he couldn't see them with Aura Sight.

Ethan [Thoughts]- Dam it think there has to be a way to see them.

Ethan has a flash back to training with Jon. Inside the dark forest training. Ethan using multiple attacks trying to hit Jon but there all missing or being dodged by Jon with ease. That when Jon turns invisible confusing Ethan until he takes two punches to the chest launching him into a tree but not braking it.

Ethan [In Pain]- Ah! You didn't tell me you could turn invisible.

Jon reappeared Infront of him.

Jon- Ha. What type of skills did you think we monster hunters have.

Ethan- I don't now. The basic Warrior skills not stealth.

Jon- Ha from those movies I'm not surprised.

As Jon help Ethan up.

Ethan- So how do I counter someone who's invisible.

Jon- Hm well the fastest way is to focus your Aura around you. Which should allow you to sense the invisible person. However it takes a few seconds to gather your energy to do so.

Ethan- That makes it useless in combat right.

Jon- Not really. After practicing with it for a while you should be able to use it in combat.

Ethan- Well that's relief then.

Jon- You need to stop worrying so much before you kill yourself.

Ethan- Ha I'll keep that in mind.

Screen changes back to Ethan still moving around the Magic Circle.

Ethan [Thoughts]- Dam I knew I should have practice with that skill more. But I guess I have no choice.

Ethan stops running. He put his hands together in a prayer to focus his Aura. He's stabbed in the shoulder and leg.

Tanis [Worried]- Ethie!? What are you doing.

Winnie [Worried and Thoughts]- Dam it Ethan don't just stand there and die!

But gets the location of the remaining five skeletons and with one swift sword strike takes them all down. After that Ethan falls to the ground and looks up at the sky smiling.

Ethan [Happy].-Ya I did it. Ha Ha Ha.

The Magic Circle disappears along with Ethan wounds. Tanis run out and hugs Ethan.

Tanis- Never do that again that looked painful.

Ethan- Don't worry I'll practice to make sure I don't get badly injured again.

Phara- Ha Ha. Nice one Ethan I thought you were doomed.

Winnie- Always waiting to the last moment to show off hu Ethie.

Ethan- Well I say I did a lot better then you though. Also I notice you were worried about me.

Winnie- Uh!? I don't like watching someone just stand there and don't fight back against there attackers. Also don't think this gets you out of todays run with me.

Ethan- Ha. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Winnie- Good you got a one minute head start.

Ethan- What!? One minute.

Winnie- Now 30 seconds you better start running.

Winnie takes out her claws and Ethan was already gone.

Screen goes to Sibella and Elean.

Elean- Ha. That boy doesn't stop impressing us hu.

Sibella- Hm. I agree but as he grows stronger I'm worried the Magic Court might take him as a threat.

Elean- The only way they would see him as a threat if he pisses them off somehow. Which is very unlikely.

Sibella- Perhaps but only time will tell. If that happens.

Elean- Ha. I can agree with that.

Sibella and Elean watch as Winnie chases after Ethan as the screen fades to black.
