Tutorial

The whole world was burning, the bodies of the monsters littering the ground, and their spilled blood forming rivers. Even through this harrowing scene, the people’s cheers and screams didn’t stop. Who could blame them? After five damn years in this hell, they had finally won. They had killed the last boss and could finally return to their world. Adam could finally go back and meet his family. But just then...

**[Coregulation: You Have Completed The Tutorial]**

“What in the fucking hell,” whispered Adam, feeling his legs give way beneath him. The cheers stopped, and the world turned silent. The only sound was the blood oozing from the monsters' bodies.

“This is a joke, right?” said one of the people.

“The system said we could go back after defeating all monsters. We should be sent back,” said another.

The short-lived silence turned into screams of despair, but then the system spoke again.

**[Initiating Transferring]**

Nothing was left on the battlefield but the corpses of the monsters.

---

Somewhere in the ruins of a broken city, a human-sized crystal ball started cracking and shattering, releasing a man with pale, raven-black hair and eyes from within.

“I feel like my head is about to split in two,” groaned the man as he stood up, looking around to see where he was. “Where am I, and what happened? The last thing I remember is the system message, and then I’m here. Did it send me to another world again? It did say 'tutorial.' Damn the fucking system. After all I’ve been through, a fucking tutorial? And if that was actually a tutorial, what’s next? When will I be able to go back to my world? Nah, I’ve got to stop thinking like that. I need to assess the situation and find out where I am.”

Adam started looking around, but all he could see were broken buildings, familiar ones, a design of buildings he knew five years ago.

“No way. Am I actually back on Earth? I mean, how many worlds have the exact same structure I used to live in five years ago? The system told us we would be sent back to our world after defeating the Lord of Terror's army, but for all that to be a tutorial is crazy. And if this is really my city, why is everything in ruins? The buildings could have been demolished in these five years, but the whole city is unlikely. And why am I feeling so weak? Damn, so many questions but no answers.”

**[Congratulations: You Are One Of The Few Chosen Who Have Completed The Tutorial]**

**[You Are Awarded The Right To Be A Player. All Player Access Is Now Available]**

All of a sudden, Adam fell to the ground, feeling pain all over his body while the system message kept bombarding his mind. Then, all of a sudden, all the pain was gone.

“Ah, damn the system. The exact same bullshit as back then. But wait? I was already a player. Is the system bugged? And this feeling of weakness, could it be? Status.”

**[Conquer The Trial Ahead And Rise In Power To Save Your World From Destruction]**

“Yeah, fuck you too, man, son of a bitch. Trial? You must think I’m retarded to trust anything you say. But ‘save your world’—that at least confirms that I’m back on Earth, right? But why is everything in ruins? Well, I won’t get any answers here. I need to find other people.”

Picking himself up, Adam started moving outside of the collapsed building, going through the streets of the ruined city.

“Damn, this place really turned into a shitshow, and there doesn’t seem to be anyone living here. Did the apocalypse hit Earth or something? But where should I go now? If the whole city is in the same state as this section, I’ll have to go to another city, but the closest one is at least 100 miles from here. And I’m just back as a regular human. No point in thinking about it anyway.”

Just then, he glimpsed something moving through a nearby collapsed building. Thinking it might be someone, he went near it, but then out of the rubble emerged a white furball.

“Fuck, it’s just a rabbit. What the hell is a rabbit doing in the middle of the city anyway?”

The rabbit turned its body slowly to face Adam and then lunged at him, trying to headbutt him. But just as the rabbit was about to hit him, Adam's instincts kicked in. He turned his body slightly, avoiding the rabbit, and before the rabbit hit the ground, he kicked it with all his power, sending it colliding with the collapsed wall. Pieces of the wall fell, crushing the rabbit.

**[You killed Horned Rabbit Level 3. You Gained EXP]**

“Shit, man. Is this for real? Why is a horned rabbit even on Earth? What else is here? Wait, did the system send me into a post-apocalyptic version of Earth? And what else is here? The more I keep going, the more I find myself riddled with questions and no answers. But this isn’t the time for questions. If a horned rabbit is here, there could be other monsters from the tutorial, and I have no weapon. Well, there might be.”

Turning to face the collapsed wall that crushed the horned rabbit, Adam looked around to see if there was another horned menace around, but there seemed to be none. So he went to the collapsed wall and started removing the rubble until he saw the body of the rabbit.

“Well, if there was any doubt in my heart before, then there is none now. Those retarded rabbits really are on Earth now. Look at you, dumb fuck, dead. You thought it was going to be like the tutorial, right? Stabbing me and running away, but that was five years ago. I’m much stronger now. Well, not really, since my status has been reset and all that, but hey, you’re still dead, and I’m alive. Now, let’s turn you into a weapon and hopefully kill your family with it.”

Picking up the rabbit’s body and a huge rock, Adam started to smash the rock at the base of the horn until it broke from the rabbit’s skull.

**[You Have Obtained Horned Rabbit Horn]**

**Name:** Rabbit Horn

**Type:** Material/Weapon

**Rarity:** Common

**Description:** One day a unicorn raped a rabbit, or maybe it was the other way around, who knows? But what you need to know is that the unholy union brought to life one of the biggest menaces in existence. Just like their rapist father, they like to stick their horn into unwilling participants. Oh, right, the horn is not magical, but you can use it to stab people.

“Whoever writes these descriptions needs help. Well, anyway, now that I have a weapon, it’s time to move and kill some rabbits, hopefully.”

Armed with a new weapon, Adam went through the ruins of the city, hoping to find anything that could help him locate people. After about an hour, in the far distance beside a street junction, he saw the figures of two humans.

“Finally, people. It’s time to get some answers. But what should I say or how? The last time I had a conversation with someone normal, who I wasn’t trying to kill or be killed by, was two years ago. Well, my social skills can’t be that bad, right? I’ll just go to them and be like, ‘Where the fuck are we?’ That should be good.”

Feeling confident about his social skills, he started moving toward the two figures, but before he got too close to them, he realized the two humanoid figures weren’t actually humans but green-looking kids. Recognizing what the green-looking kids were, he hid behind the rubble of a nearby building.

“Well, horned rabbit and now goblins. It’s the tutorial all over again. What’s next, dire wolves? Well, at least it isn’t a demon or any high-level monster. Should I kill them or ignore them? I can take the two of them easily, even with my current stats, but these fuckers always move in big numbers. If more of them are hidden somewhere else, it could get messy. Maybe I can sneak up on them and surprise them, but who am I kidding? I was never the rogue type. Well, the old way never failed me, so why change it?”

Sure, here is the passage with the grammar errors fixed:

---

Steadying his resolve, Adam got up from behind the rubble and started moving toward the goblins. When there were about five meters between them, the goblins saw him, froze for a moment, and then rushed him. Matching their energy, he lunged at them. As they closed in, one of the goblins slowed down to try and get behind him while the other blocked his way, thinking he would slow down and they could attack from two directions simultaneously. Goblins, after all, have some intelligence. But they made a mistake: Adam wasn’t the type to stop when met with a wall; he was the type who would headbutt the wall until it broke.

The goblin facing Adam realized he hadn’t slowed down and panicked, trying to get out of his way, but it was too slow. With all his momentum, Adam dropkicked the goblin in the chest, breaking it. The other goblin, seeing what happened to its friend, tried to lunge at him before he could stand up. But Adam, predicting the goblin’s action, rolled over and stood up, using his higher reach to stab the goblin in the neck with the rabbit horn, ending its life.

“Well, that was easy. I mean, it should be easy; they’re only level 5 goblins. Maybe I’m just used to getting beaten to within an inch of my life before winning. Well, any easy win is a good win. But wait, I only got one kill notification.”

Turning to the first goblin he had hit, he saw it trying to crawl away while breathing heavily.

“Damn, you’re still alive? I’m sure if I dropkicked a human kid like that, he would die on the spot. But you little shits are kind of sturdy for your small size. You seem to be in pain; let me help you really quick.”

Moving toward the crawling goblin, he lifted the horn and stabbed it.

“Another level up. Nice, and I got 2 skills. But level 10 from the get-go is kind of broken. And this level limitation! Does that mean all my skills are still there, and I just need to perform a feat related to them and be of the appropriate level? Well, I hope so. But it must be; I mean, I didn’t forget how to fight. Well, it is what it is. Most importantly, let’s distribute the stat points. Status.”
