Sam was having a hard time paying attention to his math teacher, Mr. Anderson. Today was a Monday and Sam stayed up late watching a movei. It didn't help that the temperature inside was just high enough to feel warm but not hot.
'I'll just put my head for a little bit.' Sam thought to himself as he put his head on his arm, which was to the very left of the table, to make it look like he was looking down at his notebook. 'And close my eyes for a few seconds.'
If it was any other class, Sam would be too self-conscious about his sleeping face, but he knew about half the class and the other half could go skew themselves.
And that's when disaster struck, which his teacher's voice turning into a valuable and the desk which he was sitting on turning into the softest bed he ever felt, Sam fell asleep.
A few seconds later, Sam woke himself up, but it was too late. In the few seconds that Sam was asleep, he, along with his desk, was taken into an entirely new world. His friends, the other classmates, and Mr. Anderson didn't notice anything. As soon as Sam disappeared, they forgot all about him and the desk, and so did everyone that Sam ever interacted with.

Around the same time:
Xander had to his English essay before school tomorrow. He had been putting it off for a week now and now he didn't have that choice anymore. It was already late and Xander was still on his third paragraph. To at least have a chance at passing, he needs five paragraphs.
'I'll write the last two in the morning.' Even as he told himself this, he knew how unlikely it was. It was already 1:20 am, and he had to head off to his school by 7:30. So if he went to bed now, he would get in total six hours of sleep and, if Xander wanted to finish his essay before school, he would get five hours. Xander wasn't so sure that, even with his alarm, he would get up.
'I'll leave my English essay up to fate. Me waking up or no is now out of my hands.' Xander thought to himself as he climbed into his bed. In a few minutes, he was asleep.
After thirty minutes passed, Xander and his bed disappeared.
----------------------------------------
Sam's eyes sprang open. He quickly realized what happened. As he looked around, he was preparing for the worst. Mr. Anderson looking down at him while standing in front of his desk or maybe an empty classroom. But as he processed what he was seeing, Sam was startled. He wasn't in his math class. He even doubted if he was in school.
He was in a room with no windows. The room itself wasn't small with a width and length of around five meters, but the large bed to his left look up a lot of space and made the room look smaller than it looked. There was a small bulb fixed to the ceiling that provided a soft white light that made Sam able to see.
To his right was a door. Sam got out of his desk walked over to the door. When he grabbed the door handle and tried to push it down, he found that it was locked.
Sam tried to figure out what he should do but he could not come up with anything. 'I guess the beds' for me.' He thought to himself.
He walked over and sat over the blankets. 'I'll figure everything out when I wake up I guess.' He thought to himself as he failed to notice the person that was sleeping on the other side of the bed.
After a few hours of sleep, Sam felt a knee digging into his stomach. Annoyed, Sam pushed against it with his right hand. He was easily able to move it but after a few seconds, Sam jumped out of the bed.
"What the hell?" Sam said as he finally noticed the shape of the other person underneath the blankets. His hands shaking, he grabbed the blankets and threw them off of the bed. Underneath them was a guy.
He looked pretty tall, and Sam estimated that he was around 6'1, around the same height as himself. He had black hair and looked fairly fit. He wasn't scrawny, but he wasn't fat either. He had a fair amount of muscle. He seemed to be around Sam's age, around sixteen or seventeen.
'I slept with a guy.' Sam thought to himself as he grabbed his hair. He looked towards to floor and tried to calm down.
"Five more minutes, Mom." Said the guy on the bed. "Shit. My essay!" He got up looked left, which was where his alarm clock would usually be but even after letting him adjust to the light, he couldn't find his alarm. All he saw was a wall.
"Ahem." Sam cleared his throat to get the attention of the person on the bed. "I don't think you'll find your essay here. I'm Sam, by the way."
"Xander. Where the fuck am I?" Xander said as he looked around the room. He finally noticed that he wasn't in his room and asked Sam, thinking he would know.

"I'm not sure either. I," Sam paused for a few seconds, trying to figure out what to say. "I woke up a few minutes ago from my desk and saw you under the blankets and decided to wake you up."
Xander found the pause really weird but decided to trust Sam for now. Xander got out of his bed and stretched. "What should we do now?" He asked looking at Sam.
Sam had dirty blond hair and brown eyes. He had a small amount of muscle and was thin. Xander also noticed that Sam had a lot of tan. 'Maybe he's a swimmer,' he thought to himself.
"I guess we just wai-" Sam stopped speaking as soon as he heard the door open. "Never mind," he said with a sigh.
As the door opened, Sam and Xander saw a woman standing in the doorway. She was absolutely gorgeous. She had high cheekbones, full lips, and beautiful and long black hair that ended with a bright red color. She was above average height at 5'8. Her larger chest was partially visible from her shirt. Her long slim legs were covered with jeans.
"Done with your beauty rest, boys?" She asked with an equally beautiful voice. "Whenever you're ready, follow me."
She turned around and started to walk away. Sam started to follow her, but Xander stood still watching her walk away.
"I thought that I was dreaming before, but now I think I'm in heaven," said Xander to himself. When he saw how Sam was looking at him he asked, " What?"
"Nothing," said Sam as he turned his head towards the doorway.
Sam and Xander followed the woman out of the door and they found themselves in another room. It was a lot larger than the room that they were just in and a lot brighter as well. The room had a larger window that took up an entire wall. Sam could see a beach through the window. It was truly a beautiful sight, and Sam had to pause for a few seconds to take it all in.
Facing the window were a chair and a couch. The couch was fairly large, being able to hold four people. The woman was sitting on the chair and gestured for Sam and Xander to sit on the couch that was facing her.
As Sam and Xander were sitting down, the woman started to speak. "I know that you two have a few questions and I'm here to clear everything up. You are no longer on Earth and won't be for the foreseeable future. While you were sleeping, you were transported here, to the City of Origin. The reason that you two were brought here was that you were asleep at the wrong place, at the wrong time." She paused, letting Sam and Xander absorb all of that information.
"Is this an isekai?" Asked Xander which a large amount of wounder and hope in his voice. He looked like a kid that just found his lost toys.
'It's happening. Everything that I ever hoped for. All of my dreams and wishes are coming true! Now all I need to do is create a harme, defeat the demon king, and then retire as the most popular and handsome guy in the world.' Xander thought to himself.
"You watch anime?" asked Sam, surprised that Xander, who looked European, watched anime. He didn't think that Japanese culture so popular in Europe and when he thought of an Otaku, Europeans didn't come to his mind.
"Of course not," replied Xander as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. "I read manga." He turned his attention back to the woman.
"Well... Sort of." the woman paused trying to think of a way to better explain. "As I said before, this city is called Origin. In a little bit, you'll be taken to your world. Then you can start your isekai adventure. You'll be called warlords from now on. Both of you together will have a world that you can spread your influence. Warlords are responsible for participating in the War Games, but you don't have to worry about that for a while. The only thing that you have to worry about, for the Games, is getting stronger. The more soldiers you have and the stronger they are, the better off you'll be in the Games."
"Is magic real?" Xander asked, with the same amount of wonder in his voice as before. "And if it is, how do you use it?"
"When a group of warlords first enters their world, something changes in the world. It could be anything from magic to superpowers to anything that can make people stronger. It starts off pretty weak, almost insignificant, but as you go through more and more War Games, it'll get stronger, to where it'll be your greatest strength." She said as she got up. "Follow me, I've got something to show you."
Sam was having time believing in everything that the woman was saying. Sure, he woke up in a completely different place with his desk, and, sure, he felt as though was asleep for only a few seconds before he woke up. But, he needed to see it for himself before he started to fully trust what the woman was saying.
Xander, on the other hand, trusted every single word that the women said. If she told him that the world was flat, he would believe her without a doubt.
Sam and Xander got up and followed the women got off the room. They left the room through the door, which was on the opposite wall of the window. They looked around outside the room and found that they were in a hallway. It was similar to the hallways in a hotel room. Rooms on the left and right and an elevator at the end of the hallway.
"My name's Mable by the way. I've been a warlord for almost two decades now." Mable said as they waited for the elevator to come to their level.
"You don't look that old," Sam said, trying to figure out her age. She looked to be in the mid-twenties but if she's been a warlord for twenty years and he doubted that children could become warlords, that meant that she was at least in her middle thirties.
"Oh, that because of my world's power. Every time that I kill someone, I absorb a little bit of their life force. It keeps me looking younger and heals any wounds that I get from battles."
The elevator dinged open and the group stepped in. Sam and Xander both noticed that Mable clicked the highest floor in the building, the 30th floor. Sam noticed that they were on the 10th floor of the building and realized that the window in their rooms was fake. He was surprised since the level of detail on it was so good.
"Either of you scared of heights?" Mable asked as she watched the elevator doors close.
"Yes." Both of them replied at the same time.
"Good," Mable replied with a strange smile on her face. 'This is going to be fun.' She thought in her head.
