On the Final Frontier, that planet that is known to hold one of the most mysterious powers in the Universe standing one remaining soldier. His battle suit seems to be on the verge of breaking, and splattered with blood of red and blue colors, if were to observe carefully that ground seems to be covered with suits and armors of different types but similar to his with blood pooling in different areas.
He takes off his helmet and starts to walk forward, his pale bluish skin seems to be a reflection of the color of the sky which in itself is a miracle to behold for the horrifying weapons that were unleashed on this planet was enough to cause the destruction of multiple solar systems but the planet seems to be barely affected.
As he walks forward he trips and stumbles onto a body that seems to have been slightly moving. The other armored figure quickly awakens due to the shock and upon see the blue skinned figure seems to shake with rage and uses his gauntlet to smash the exposed head of the person.
The person tries to remember what happened. His name is Jake of the Federation of Reds, a collection of civilizations that were newly introduced to the universe at a few tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of years ago compared to their main enemies, the Blue Monarchy who are a comparatively older collection of races who were previously reigning the Universe for a dozen million years.
Jake was one of the recruits to the frontline who survived due to sheer luck. He was sent to Final Frontier along with the rest of the Army for a final dash when the artifact’s existence was confirmed; little did they know this would be the last wave that would be sent to Final Frontier due to the activation mechanism of the artifact.
It first cut off all communication signals of all kinds throughout the universe, putting it in a sort of Black Out. This would result in disastrous consequences as all bases of the civilizations were cut off from each other which resulted in them releasing their weapons of mass destruction and destroying all of the known military bases throughout the Universe along with most of the habituated planets leaving the Universe mostly barren and destroyed.
Jake, unknowing to the situation of the outside Universe, tries to establish a connection to the base and gets nothing but static signals.
Jake is one of the more unique ones of the Red-bloods, whereas most of the Reds are hot-blooded and passionate about most, Jake was one of the few remaining Humans who, over the course of thousands of years, maintained a more lax attitude similar to those of the Blue-Bloods.
After his fruitless attempt at communication, starts walking toward the large building that seemed to have appeared no long ago.
After quite a few minutes of walking, Jake seems to final get his battle suit out of emergency mode and into full operations.
First thing that he does is commands the suit AI to activate one of his suit’s custom modification, energy sealing. A tube is ejected from the back of his suit and Jake proceeds to attach to the back of one of that many, many bodies lying all around him.
Its main function is to take energy from other suits and hence the energy reserve of Jake’s battle suit is refilled to 15% from the previous 10.
Jake continues with this until his energy reserves reaches 35% then activates the thrusters and starts to fly at a much faster speed towards the building in the distance.
---
“Report energy current reserves and calculate ETA to the structure in the distance.”
[Energy reserves at 32% and dropping at the rate of 2% per 10 minutes]
[No structure detected in the surrounding 10 kilometers or in sight hence calculations are unable to be executed]
Jakes frowns at that statement asks.
“Figure out why I can’t communicate to home base and to other allies.”

[Communication signals of all available variety seems to be scrambled]
He frowns harder at this realization and commands the AI.
“Turn on autopilot and recovery mode and awaken me when energy reserves are below 15%.”
[Turning on Autopilot and activating recovery mode]
Jake falls into a state of torpor as the AI of the Suit controls itself to continue travel and repair itself with tiny robots that are released from grooves around the suit, awakening Jake every time energy reserves drops too low in order to recover energy by stealing it from the multitude of littered corpses.
Time goes by as Jake continues travelling in this state for the next few hours until he awakens to the AI reporting.
[Unknown energy signals detected 9 kilometers straight ahead. Energy reserves are at 42%, exiting autopilot and deactivating recovery mode. Awaiting further instructions]
Jake looks up at the sky to see it in the same shade as it was when he first woke up. He says
“Start Battle Mode and report and abnormalities in the surrounding”
The suit starts to hum in agreement as the calming green colored lights of in the circuits and screen of the suit abruptly turns a dim red.
He shoots off with his thrusters, covering the remaining 9 kilometers in a matter of seconds and lands before the large entrance to the white and gold building.
[Energy reserves at 40%] hums the AI.
“Which weapon systems are currently usable” whispers Jake even though no sound would’ve been transmitted outside.
[Palm Blaster, hand-to-hand boosters, Energy Pistols and Shockwaves]
He quickly retrieves the pistols that he looted from one of the bodies outside and continues walking in.
The clanging of his metal feet against the cold, hard, marbled floor creates echoes as he trudges along the corridor. He finds a staircase leading downward into darkness.
“That’s not ominous in the slightest.” He lampoons and he descends the flight of stairs.
After multiple minutes of walking down while his nerves are being stretched taut, he arrives at the bottom and in front of him stands a giant pair of doors that seem to be coated in a glowing gold.
“Scan these doors for me will you?” Jake says.
[Massive source of unknown energy detected]
“It’s unusable I assume?” He asks.
[Affirmative], the AI replies back.
“Well let’s get these bad boys opened shall we.”
Jake puts his palms against the doors and the suit releases two red energy beams from the back of the elbows to give extra pushing power to Jake.
The large set of doors slowly opens up a sliver which reinvigorates Jake who pushes harder. Although the doors do not open up completely the opening is now wide enough to allow him to walk in.
He walks in to see a massive room held up by pairs pure white pillars of plasma that seems to ebb and flow in a confined space, flooring of vibrant red carpet and walls with murals of histories of civilizations’ rise and falls, technologies and magic, religion and government. A record of all civilizations to ever exist in the universe and then some.
Jake turns off battle mode in a daze and continues walking forward while being entranced by the murals. Tribal ceremonies, Rites of passage, Holy Cathedrals and Temples of Worship, Castles and Kingdoms, Empires and Dynasties, Democracies and Autocracies, Monarchies and Aristocracies, Wizards, Demons, Immortals, Technology, Angels and Devils all sorts of incomprehensible and wondrous records have been carved into these walls that look like a day hasn’t gone by.
Suddenly Jake awakens from his stupor when he reaches the end of the corridor, he pales as he sees that only 17% of energy is left in the suit and hurried asks.
“How long have I been waking damn it!”
[You’ve been waking in a straight line for the past 70 hours]
Jake stands rooted to the ground and looks at the end of the corridor.
He sees a pedestal upon which lies a glowing orb. He immediately has the urge to pick it up but restrains and coldly asks the AI.
“Show me my vital signs”
[Vital signs have not changed since the movement you’ve stepped into the corridor], says the AI as a list of his vitals appear to the side of this screen.
“Well that’s completely normal right!”
“GImme a reason for my vitals staying the same, I’m freaking the fuck out.”
[No solid reason can be gotten from previous database but the best conjecture is the presence of the mysterious energy reverting everything to a present state as seen by the lack of dust, lack of damage to the paint on present murals and lack of formation of footprint on the carpet]
Jake looks behind and confirms what the AI said.
“What’s the chance of getting out of here if you start running back” says Jake with consternation in his voice.
[The suit will run out of charge before you get back to the entrance]
“That’s what I expected” He says with a bitter smile on his face.
“Well then, what do you think will happen if I touch that glowing orb” He says with a glint in his eye.
[Unknown consequences, I have no information about this in my database but there is a high chance that this is the mysterious artefact that acted as a catalyst to the war]
He says, “Well, I’m most probably not going to survive this situation either way so let me take a risk and find out what this thing is”
Jake walks up to the sphere of light and picks it up… but nothing seems to have happened.
“Well that was slightly anticlima-“but before he finishes his sentence a massive explosion of light takes place and knocks him unconscious.
