Ever since Yves was locked up, the seemingly ever-changing news about him had been circulating at its fastest pace, turning every inch of Sollaburg upside down. Until the evening time, all associations related to Yves had already been forcibly disbanded. The scale and speediness of such a crackdown were far beyond everyone’s speculation.
As dusk fell, the Court declared the grave offenses Yves had committed. Out of a total of 17 accusations, raising a mercenary army, intruding an Obliterealm, and colluding with foreign races were the ones Yves’s supporters found most despicable and felt indignant about. And what fueled the flames was that the Adolfs had ordered their soldiers to bring Yves’s family back. Upon knowing this, a crowd of Yves’s supporters gathered at the entrance of his manor in rage to protect his family. Clashes between the supporters and soldiers seemed unavoidable at this moment.
Stolen novel; please report.
To prevent the conflict from erupting, Mrs. Elza strode out of the manor to calm her beloved’s supporters down. Meanwhile, a commotion seemed to have occurred on the soldiers’ side, and then, without any warning, an arrow, released from among them, whipped through the air and buried itself in Mrs. Elza’s body.
The blasting spell Mophar cast on the arrow exploded in an instant, from which the blaze spread, greedily engulfing the lives of Mrs. Elza and her surrounding people as well as the sanity of the remaining crowd. They either fled from that place in screaming, or charged the soldiers desperately despite the fact that a pair of bare fists could not do much in the face of fully-armed soldiers. The suppression did not end until the floor was deeply soaked with blood. Hundreds of people sacrificed their lives, yet Yves’s children were nowhere to be found.
What is most ironic about this suppression is that the fatalities are now considered as evidence of Yves raising his own mercenary army. Some say they died for nothing. It is pathetic of them to not understand what belief the martyrs were standing behind.
