Made this playing around with Wonder Draft. A few things have changed. The goblins have a new home, the bandits are in Hungrytown, and the Pepper farm is near Sedgewick. Map making is fun, but you lose a lot of hours doing them. I had a lot more hours during Covid. :) The problem with working with programs like this, is you start to get good at it, but then a year later you've forgotten most of the little tricks to make things work. Especially if you've used a couple of different programs. If you put in 10 hours a week, you get to be a wizard at it. I scramble now to get all my chapters done, and an extra 10 hours is a dream. :) The next couple of projects will probably be detailed maps of Sedgewick and Gadobhra, just for fun.
At some point I'd like to get back to playing around with graphics like this and producing some artwork with Night Cafe for simple illustrations to go with a book. That can also burn a lot of hours. It's easy to make 'a picture', but harder to do 'the picture I actually want'. I tried to get a simple picture of dogs in a junkyard. The AI thought all dogs should have leather harnesses for some reason, and strangely, extra paws. Sometimes just piles of paws.

The other little towns on this map haven't played much of a part in the story. The mine Billy won is in Thunderhead, and Derek the Tavern Keeper moved to Hurlsford. Poor Hurlsford is in a bit of a slump, with the road South destroyed by Baron Pinchpenny in Northguard. Northguard is a dilapidated town with an older Legion Keep and and the crumbling castle of the Baron. It's surrounded by poor farming land, starving peasants and bandits.
