[System] Beginning synchronisation...
There is a slightly robotic female voice in my head. It sounds a bit like my sister talking into an empty can of beans.
[System] Partial synchronisation complete.
I can also see the messages in the corner of my vision. I can move them around with a thought, or get rid of them.
...
I'm in roughly the same room as before. However, it is spotlessly clean. The old neon lights have changed into squares of light embedded in the ceiling.
The counter is still there, and there is a screen floating above it. The man who asked me questions is gone too.
The screen is slightly swaying. Looking from the side, it's as thin as paper. On the top left, there is a large digital descending timer with the small mention 'Time left' beneath it. I have a bit less than ten minutes remaining.

On the top right, there is a stats panel :
Paul Fort
Intelligence 10
Strength 7
Constitution 9
Due to your choices when setting up the game, these stats have become available. An average human has stats around 8.
Oh, so that's why he asked me those questions! I didn't need to answer based on my real-life situation... I could've chosen my stats; it's too late in any case.
You can open the stats panel by saying or thinking "stats".
I give it a try and one of those cute popping sounds rings with a similar window opening in front of me. When I want to close it, it quickly dissipates into smoke. After a few tests, I found out that it follows me when I turn my head or move around, but my hands can go through it. I can also move it around by thought.
Going back to the screen, I look towards the bottom half of it.
Free games rotation plan.
Here it is, the grand prize you're so happy to win. Every week, your selection of games will change so make the most of each game while they're still there!
Slap bang in the middle of the remaining space, there is a button saying "Let's go!". I click on it mentally, and some doors appear on the wall behind the counter. They are open inwards, and I can't see inside. there is some sort of dark mist shrouding my vision.
I check the screen again, and the almost empty space that the button was in is now filled with tiles. These tiles all have a title and a background picture that each look like a game.
[System] Time for a quick tutorial... The doors you see are linked to the game presented in the tile with the corresponding border colour.
Right, that's why every doorframe has a different colour.
[System] If you enter a door, you enter the corresponding game, but careful, you need to get to a save point to exit. Behind you is another door, it leads you back to reality.
I look back, and I see a golden doorframe. It's sparkling, and there are some clouds inside that emanate white light.
[System] Half your time has been used up, hurry and enter a game.
Hearing this, I enter the leftmost door with a red frame. It is a casino game.
