I've finally reached the Demon Lords thrown room... now I can end this for my dead companions, though the demon lord and his forces were not the ones that killed them. It was one of the other four Heroes that were also summoned that are still facing the demon Lords forces.

"I didn't expect one of the heroes to make it here this fast."

I laughed, "It was easy sneaking in..."

"Because you’re alone, well that must make you the cursed Hero then."

"Ha cursed hero. I was betrayed by my fellow heroes and the pathetic kingdoms that summoned me."

"Ha that makes two of us."

I just stared at him dumbly wondering what that meant.

The demon lord gave a half laugh and half sigh, "So even you heroes don't know."

I continued to walk steadily towards him with my massive great sword at the ready.

"know what!?"

"Did you know that there was an age of peace not that long ago between all the races?"

"Of course there was until you demons ended it!"

"We did no such thing! We happily lived in peace but it all ended due to the greed of the other races. Though not all races fell to it."

I continued to step forward readying my sword, "obviously this world is controlled by greed and you are the same..."

"I did not say that I wasn't but it was the humans that started this war with their racist cause looking down upon the other races. You should already know how bad it is."

I held my hand over a soul orb in my hidden pocket with memories flashing through my head. My companions; the Halfling wizard, the dwarven Warrior and Smith. And the one I grew closest to these last four years, Sarah a Beast woman of the wolf tribe whom soul now resided in the orb. A tear slid down my cheek as my anger grew.

I lunged forward the demon lord distracted for a moment stabbing him through his heart.

He laughed blood dribbling out of his mouth, "I should have expected that."

"I... I..." I didn't know what to say... he was weak compared to all the stories and his generals.

The demon lord quickly snapped an amulet from his neck that held a blood red glowing crystal.

"Take this Hero I think your be needing this... I leave the rest to yo..."

He dropped limp his body finally noticing the destruction of its heart.

I slowly set him on the ground while staring at the stone in my hand. I had seen a whole cave made of this same crystal once back in the frontiers of the kingdoms near the cross roads to the dwarven and elven kingdoms. It was the world’s highest quality magic shard.

I quickly put it in my pocket and began to search the Demon Lords body finding a small book a few magic rings and finally I took the demon lords Demonic Sword. I was beginning to stand when the doors were slammed open with the sound of dozens of running feet. I turned to find the other heroes and their companions as they stopped to stare at me and the Demon Lords Body.

The sports jock hero stepped forward... I think he was engaged to the summoning kingdoms princes if I can remember correctly.

"You... You killed him?!"

"Yes."

"How?"

"Distracted him."

"But how did you manage it by yourself."

"He was weak..."

I ignored his next comment began to walk past him but he grabbed me with his arm.

"Listen to me!"

I shoved off his arm and stared at him with my empty cold eyes.

"I will not listen to the person who rapped, kidnapped and sold my last companion into slavery."

He just stood there mouth agape as I shoved past him his companions with either harsh glares or shocked faces. As I was nearing the door the High Elf woman that tried to befriend me a few times grabbed my arm. I turned to her seeing her sad yet confused face.

"Is it true what he and the others..."

"It’s all true but I cannot prove anything thanks to cover-ups and everyone’s word against mine."

"Please let me help you!"

I starred at her feeling all my pent up emotions begin to surface but turned away instead of listing to her.

"I need to be alone for a while."

She nodded and stepped back as I walked through the door only looking back to see her watching me and the rest looting the room. I then went on my way leaving the castle on my way to the crystal cave while looking over the items the demon lord had on him and the blood red crystal.
